The Meadow Event Park

This was a great light show, but make sure you come early because the wait to enter the light show was over 2 hours

We were an exhibitor at the Richmond Sawmill/Forestry Expo and it was a good venu. Overall well organized, clean, good set up, the social at the Secretariat house on the hill was excellent. A rodeo has across the street one night and that was a hoot and a good time to attend.

Great venue for dog show. Came in my RV for two weekends of shows. RV sites near building are limited with full hookups, so arrive early. There is a campground at the end of the parking lot with full hookups but it's quite a walk to the building. It was going to be rainy the first weekend I was here so I opted to stay closer to the building but then had to pick up and move to a different site on Monday so that I could have sewer and not have to dump again while I was here.
Dog show is in the Farm Bureau building. Rings are nicely sized and quite a bit of Grooming around the outside walls. Concession vendor had some Seafood options on the menu but almost everything on the menu was deep fried unfortunately.
13039 Dawn Blvd is a better address for your GPS to come in Gate 3 on Chenery Lane. The 13191 Dawn Blvd address took me across the highway to Gates 4 and up.

Attended a car show fundraiser July 22, 2023 at "The Meadow Event Park" . Had a great time. It was packed with cars, trucks, volunteers and donators, like myself.

Visiting this park was like walking back in history. Not alot to look at but to just see where famous horse Secretariat was born, raised was fascinating. He was my mom's favorite racehorse. What a treasure.

Went to see the lights and they were phenomenal!!

Attended the Beer, Bourbon, and Barbecue event. What a genuinely fun and well run event. They had an excellent representation from many brewers and distillers while the crowd was courteous and enthusiastic.

We came here for the Christmas lights and it is always a show. This is definitely something for younger children and we enjoyed when my children were younger now they're older, they sort of enjoyed it. I highly recommend all parents to take their young children because it would definitely be a memory for a lifetime!

Came for a gymnastics event. It was a very clean and spacious facility with more than enough restrooms. They had a concession stand, a nice area in front to sit and take a break, along with alot of parking.

Attended the 50th BMW Motorcycle Owners of America Rally June 8-11th. Accommodated almost 6000 attendees, & their motorcycles. Great parking, plenty of RV & tent space. Bathrooms were clean & well equipped. Grounds were well kept. Loved the history of Secretariat.

Absolutely amazing weekend I enjoyed a special time with my family. We took pictures with Santa and enjoyed the light show for Christmas. Absolutely wonderful if I could give a 10 star rating I would.

Highly recommend the Christmas light show, illuminate! We go to drive through and walk through lights every year and were looking for a new place we hadn’t gone to before. This drive through light show took about 35-40minutes to drive through, and all lights were set to fun Christmas music. You can tell a lot of time and effort goes in to this show. Cost was $25 per car. We arrived right at 5:30pm, and had about a 10 minute wait. As we were leaving, we noticed the line had grown substantially. So, if you are coming to this light show I would recommend coming earlier rather than later to avoid crazy wait times. Overall, would highly recommend for a festive, fun, and reasonably priced Christmas light show that family and friends of any age would enjoy. And as a bonus for those that are very concerned about COVID, it is very COVID safe as you remain in your car the entire time but get to join in on the holiday fun!

Had such an amazing time at the Fair!!! Hadn't been in decades!! And OMG, if you haven't seen the PIG RACES!!!!!! PUT IT ON YOUR TO DO LIST FOR NEXT YEAR!!!! Great memories, can't wait til next year!!!💜💜

We go to this every year and every year we love it more and more. It’s so entertaining completely worth the money. We went on a Tuesday night this year took us about 2 hrs to get in. Unfortunately people are so inconsiderate and they cut you while you’re waiting in line. This isn’t the events fault but it is annoying. The wait is so worth it. I hear if you go earlier the wait isn’t as bad.

Excellent drive through holiday lights and Santa village. The event was well organized and the grandkid loved the light show and train ride at the end. We will be making the trip next year.

This place was awesome! I went here back in 2014 and had a blast. The weather was perfect and the whole event was amazing. I would love to visit again if I'm ever out in Richmond this time of year again.

Great facilities, there with about 5,000 friends for national BMW MOA 50th rally. Beautiful grounds.

It’s simply awesome show. Amazing feast for eyes watching. Worth waiting in line for an hour or so . You will surely enjoy the light show synced with radio music 🎶

I love this place! There are always great events, never a disappointment! The Lee Brice concert at the Meadow Event Park was amazing. Great food, great music artists, and awesome T Shirts!

Went to see the Illuminate Lights Display. Such an awesome event. Lights sync perfectly with the music. Great song selections. Always hear 1 or 2 new songs! Our dog has the best time pacing the back seat looking from side to side. We try to go over year and are never disappointed. In our opinion, this is one of the best light shows we have seen.
