Mazzi Cucina - Italian Restaurant

The surrounding area is undergoing some sort of development so there’s a lot of construction in the area. But You would never expect to find such a restaurant in the location . The service was fairly quick and the food was flavorful. There is limited amount of parking in the front of the restaurant and the server was able to get us seated regardless of the reservation. Would definitely return.

I visited this place for the first time yesterday with my family and we loved it. Food was delicious and the service was great. I will definitely come back and recommend everyone to give this place a try, you won’t regret it.

The best sauce in town, never before a balance on flavor like this. The bread is an 10000 of 10. The sauce was enough to swim inside with bread.

The cutest, coziest, Italian restaurant. The staff were so nice and helpful. The food and wine was amazing! I had garlic bread (appetizer), linguine seafood (main dish), and profiteroles (desert). To drink I had a glass my new favorite Moscato (Mustela), and Pinot Noir (Ombroso house red) the Pinot Noir was not my favorite too bitter for my liking but it was good to try.

Extremely impressed and satisfied to have found this place on Yelp. Let me begin by telling you that the decor and ambiance are the best. Very cozy with this vintage style decor that feels like you went back in time. The service was excellent for the waitress and the owner were constantly asking me how everything was. Now the food…...delicious. I started with the minestrone soup which I asked as an app and expecting it to be small and they brought me a huge plate of soup for like a family of three. Great flavor on the soup just a little low in salt which could be fixed with a dab of salt. Then my second plate was the spaghetti bolognese and that was incredibly delicious.
Finished off with a cappuccino and the owner offered me a complimentary madeleine for my coffee, again, excellent service. They will soon have a gnocchi night once a month but it's in the works. Can't wait to come back here with my wife since it's very romantic at night because of the lighting and all.

This is a very nice hole in the wall by the aventura area in the Opus neighborhood in north Miami. Atmosphere is nice and refreshing. Came here with a great friend of mine from Chicago. They have a great selection of wine as well as a nice and simple menu of appetizers, pasta and main dishes to choose. I had the fettuccine porcini and my friend had the grilled salmon. The fettuccine porcini was simply excellent. Easy to tell the the pasta was handmade with the great texture it had. Wasn't filling at all but satisfying. The porcini mushrooms along with the light sauce made it worth while. I had a chance to taste the salmon that my friend had. The salmon was perfectly seasoned and grilled. Very delicious along with the grilled vegetables that came with it. Service was excellent as well. We also had the tuna Carpaccio was an amazing start to our meal. I can see why Mazzi's has such great reviews. Enjoy

I have been here 2 times and it’s unbelievable! The food is so fresh and the service is great too. I think this is the only authentic Italian food place around the area. If you’re coming you should try the White Truffle Mushroom risotto and the veal parm, they’re yummmy! The plates are big the portions are big too and the wine they have is really good!

Cute spot I saw after getting some rolled ice cream next door, so I decided to get takeout. I ordered spaghetti bolongese with 2 meatballs added on top. It cost $6 on top of the $25 plate to add 2 meatballs. It was pretty pricey, but it satisfied me 💯. Nothing super wild or special about spaghetti bolongese, but it was perfect for my taste buds, which crave simple foods that are nicely prepared, especially since I'm pregnant. I also ordered gnocchi with pesto; although the pesto is wonderful, my buds preferred the bolongese, but I'm sure anyone would love it, even my teething 18 month old ate a couple pieces enjoying herself. The bread that accompanied the pasta was delightful. I would go back, but not often due to the price; however, the spaghetti portions were so big, so you'll more than likely need to take a box home and enjoy it 1-2 more times. Great value overall of you want to treat yourself. 😋

Awesome small Italian restaurant. It has a great selection of must try dishes like Gnochi, octopus, ravioles and the seared tuna; which are just delicious. The staff and chef are extremley friendly. The place is very quaint and good overall homestyle Italian cooking.

I went there for my birthday and the owner was even there to greet me and thank me for being there. I had a meal for 2 which I did not finish and the pesto is amazing at least what I think it was. It had a cute romantic vibe, without the posh feel. I found it cafe styled restaurant on my first date feel. Social distancing of course and outdoor seating. The server was a doll.

Amazing, fresh, hot, Italian food. The bread and pesto is very well domes we had carbonara, vodka con pasta, and homemade gnocchi... all perfectly cooked a hidden gem!!

This place is will drive your senses crazy! The Octopus is soooo delicious, crispy and melting at the same time. Indescribable! The bread is crusty and you must have it with the pesto. Also, great ambiance, with a cozy antique decoration, made of family memorabilia from the Chef's. It's real food confort delicious food.

Cozy, nice atmosphere, great service and delicious Italian food! The tuna salad was taste and fresh. The octopus was well seasoned and perfectly cooked.

Came back for my daughter's birthday. Still my favorite Italian places to eat.

Food: lingini clam pasta, calamari, lasagna, brasoala, ravioli.
Dessert: blue Berry Panacota, creme brulee, chocolate cake. All was flavorable, very good taste, fresh.

Imagine little Italy. The food was excellent, staff and service was great. Polite, happy, all smiles. The food did not take long and had very special notes of flavor. I highly recommend this dining establishment. The quality of food, service, and ambiance is truly remarkable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing. Atmosphere is great! It feels and tastes so authentic. Octopus is tender and well made, so is the pasta and the pesto and salad taste so amazing. I definitely recommend it, although it is quite small , do NOT underestimate the quality!

Mazzi has the best Italian food in the area…hands down! I have been dining here for years, but my dining companions and I recently noticed a few things. The waitstaff has not been particularly friendly and they never seem to want to bring bread or more bread after bringing only two pieces. Mazzi serves the most delicious gremolata and also a mozzarella appetizer with an out of this world sauce. The last 3 times I’ve dined at Mazzi, I’ve politely asked for bread or more bread only to be met with a strange reluctance from the waitstaff. Mind you, we order appetizers, entrees, and desserts, so it’s not like we are there having free bread, gremolata, and water, then taking off. If it’s too costly or exhausting to serve bread, charge for it. I’d be happy to pay for it. There’s nothing better than to enjoy it with my appetizers and meals. The last time we ate there last week, as the waitress cleared our entree plates, she told us she needed the table for the next party. I’d made my reservation a minimum of one week in advance. I used to have a much different experience at Mazzi…one that this Italian American found to be delicious, inviting, authentic, and unmatched.

I love the food at Mazzi and the memorable meals I’ve had there with people I care about. This is why I am giving 5 stars. I’m hoping that my other comments will serve as an opportunity for growth.
