Hemingway's Island Grill

We stopped in for a late lunch. We had shrimp and salmon. The salmon had a rum sauce on it. Very tasty. Also we had dessert. I had banana cheesecake tequilas, the wife had Key West cheese cake. Both were very good. They weren't busy, so our server chatted with us for a bit. Good food & good service. I highly recommend Hemingways .....

What an amazing Sunday brunch! This place has great food regardless but we enjoyed the Sunday brunch buffet on this visit. They had such a great variety and the food was delicious! Everything from bacon and eggs to brisket and corn casserole! My favorite breakfast item has to be the breakfast croissant sandwich but everything was excellent. I LOVED the lemon blueberry muffin as well! We will definitely be back!

Went two times during vacation. Great views, atmosphere, and staff. Sweet tea was good and their jumping jack shrimp is sooo yummy- we ordered it both nights. Kids loved staring out the back windows at all the beach activities, sit near a window if you need to entertain kids.

Plantains are out of this world with the dipping sauce , The fish sandwich I had was amazing as well as Mary Onion Spirals 💪🏽☀ Will most definitely go back! I was on the jet ski all day so to unwind to this meal was satisfying! Staff is cool and yes everything is better on the beach 🏖 like they say💜

My husband and I had our wedding and reception here in July. We had our reception at the tower, and shortly after it began there was a thunderstorm. The staff did not hesitate to pack things up and move it downstairs in order to keep things going... Satisfaction guaranteed and the customer service was like no other. To put it all in a nutshell, the staff was AMAZING and the food was GREAT!

A MUST EXPERIENCE for locals and visitors alike! FANTASTIC VIEWS. SUPERB SERVICE (Austin was our server this time) DELICIOUS FOOD! I almost forgot to take pics I was so PRESENT in the moment! Able to be on a lovely date as well as share in great conversation with two other tables enjoying their meals. It is almost impossible not to share your personal experience on the spot socially with REAL PEOPLE!

Very great food. We had the Longboat key mahi mahi which we substituted the grouper for and the fish was cooked to perfection. My husband had the Ketchum Idaho ribeye which was cooked to perfection too. The food was not very salty like how other restaurants make their food. We also had the Shrimp and crab spinach dip which was delicious. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We were waiting a very long time for our entree but they had a wedding party so it took a while and our waitress let us know about it which was nice. She gave us lobster bisque soup for the wait so that was a bonus. Overall great experience. Just really pricey.

Amazing Amazing Amazing. Shoe string onions. Yum. Chef Mike knows exactly how a Pittsburg filet should be cooked. No need for sauce so be sure to ask for it on the side or not at all. This steak melts in your mouth. The garlic potatoes were to die for as well. Pair it with a good red wine and I was in heaven! Very much recommended.

Hemingway's Island Grill is a great place to eat on the beach. The prices are reasonable. You get a high quality type of food. The pillar platter is really really great tasting. That's what I had this afternoon. I forgot the waitresses name, but she was so kind and respectful and knowledgeable. On the pillar platter you get fried oysters, shrimp, fish, hush puppies, fried onions and french fries. Also you get ketchup, tartar sauce, and salsa.

Preface: 1. I'm from New Orleans so I have high expectations. 2. We came on a Monday, lunch time.
We sat outside wherever we liked. Waitress was very nice and accommodating. The tables are metal and have that green tarnish on them (rustic look) but not in a bad way. Just effects of moisture from the beach. Read other reviews and I can see what they are saying about the tables not being the best/wobbly.
Super sweet waitress took our drink orders right away and came back within a couple minutes.
As we reviewed the menu, I was very impressed. I can tell this restaurant put a lot of effort in creating a vast array of dishes and different price points and tastes. (See website)I thought this place was super expensive but for being on the beach and such a georgeous restaurant, the lunch menu was extremely affordable. A 10 items for $10 menu was awesome. Some of the items on the menu could easily have been $15-20. Also, the lunch menu was very affordable, most dishes were under $10. They will be lunch portions, of course, but that's ok with me. And the choices sounded fantastic (I wanted to try them all!). The regular menu can be pricey, but remember, this is a tourist area and it's on the beach. Very scenic views creating and sensational atmosphere. I read a review that the couple paid $130, but I commend the management staff for creating a wide range of dishes at varying prices.

We ordered our food, it came out in a timely manner. Fresh and well put together. I actually ordered an appetizer, the seared mahi tuna and noodle salad. It was very appealing and had a mild flavor. Not heavily season yet not bland either. It was really good. I intended to order off the lunch menu but my wife didn't eat her lunch (chicken alfredo) so I finished her's. I want to come back and try something else on the menu. So many choices.
The food was delicious, lunch menu was fantastic at great price points, service was good, and atmosphere was a 10. This was my first time and won't be the last. Judging from the 4.2 star reviews, this restaurant gets it right the majority of the time. No place is perfect but it looks like they get it right. I'll be back for sure. Highly recommended.

Been coming to Pensacola Beach for 5 yrs. And on the last day of our family vacation we have a tradition of coming here. It's always great food and great service and beautiful views of the Bay

Great food and views of the sound! In Pensacola area for vacation and planned on trying a new restaurant each day. But we enjoyed Hemingway’s Island Grill so much, we had lunch there two days in a row. It was off season, so no wait and good service. Sat at a table on the second floor along the railing with a great view of wildlife and boats.
My husband had rum-glazed salmon over greens with strawberries, bacon and feta cheese. I had the freshest bowl of conch chowder and calamari appetizer (drizzled with chipotle honey glaze) I’ve ever tasted! That’s why we went back the next day - for seconds!

I had the Chicken Marsala on Thursday, it was so good I came back on Friday for the same again!! The wife had the pork chop and she said it was the best pork chop she'd ever had! Would definitely recommend.

Great place for dinner. Receptive staff. Beautiful building and decor. Right on the bay. If one has never been it's a must to visit and enjoy. You will not be disappointed.

Great food and atmosphere. Staff were friendly. Sat outside and had a nice view of the water. Some of the light fixtures outside were in need of repair, but otherwise it had a nice decor/vibe. Reasonably priced, and they offered a lot of good lunch specials.

The food was so good. Everyone had masks on. We sat on the roof around 7 for sunset. First hot meal we have eaten out in 5 months and it was so worth it.

Chicken marsala was probably the best ive ever had , we went for lunch and it was priced under $15 . Wife had the shrimp po boy and a blood orange margarita. Everything was great 👍

This is another one of my favorite restaurants in Pensacola. I have eaten here a number of times and the food is always delicious. It can be a little pricey but well worth it. Everything I have ever gotten here has been so good. Even their desserts are great.

It was our first time at Hemingway's. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We are planning on going again. If you haven't tried you are missing out

I've eaten here twice-but only because I've only visited twice. I loved it so much, and I can't wait to find a reason to go there again. Amazing food and service. Nothing compares.
