We loved bringing a little picnic lunch to the lake sitting in a beautifully shaded area overlooking the crystal clear lake. The water in lake blue ridge is fantastic and clear. The swim area is well marked. There was ample parking and several picnic tables, but room to bring your own as well. The best part is that the park is dog friendly. The water’s edge is very rocky underfoot in a wide swath despite the sand, absolutely very much requiring soled water shoes or at least some secure flip flopping slides.

We spent a sunny fall morning here with our kids. It was nice and peaceful, just a few people were walking their dogs. It is a beautiful lake, we liked it in the summer as well. The kids had fun rearranging rocks on the beach, collecting fall leaves. It was a little bit muddy, but we wore hiking boots. It is an amazing place, even in the fall. It has a few picnic tables, where we ate our snacks. The restrooms were closed.

Great place to spend the day with kids.
My 4 yo daughter had a blast swimming and playing with rocks. The water was warn and calm… there’s rock everywhere, so you need to wear water shoes.
Restroom was clean. There’s a fresh water shower outside of restrooms in case you want to refresh after swimming.

A great campground, friendly camp hosts were very helpful. The bathhouse was amazing, spotless and well stocked. Some of the camp sites were slightly un- level, but most were very nice. We were in site five, it has a beautiful view of the lake and sunsets.

We will definitely stay there again!

Went in the afternoon and really wasn’t very busy. There were people there but not crowded. There are lots and lots of rocks on the bottom so make sure to have water shoes. You can see into the water for a little ways out, but then it’s too dark/deep. Water was cold but bearable. If I had to guess probably around 70 degrees. You pay by deposit box.

This place was great! It was very clean and there was shade on the beach. Make sure to wear water shoes, there are a ton of rocks in the water. We didn't go in the store there bc the lady was only letting 5 people in at a time and she was very rude to my husband. Other than that this place was amazing.

Love this site and the campground as well. Great staff and visitors. Campground has nice amenities and is kept very clean due to the diligence of the visitors and the camp admins. People working the equipment rental place are helpful in all aspects. Make sure you put your $5 donation for parking in the box per the honor system to help keep this area picked up and staffed appropriately!

Such a beautiful, unexpected mini beach in the GA Mountains! Loved the whole vibe. Would definitely love to come here and picnic and relax with family on one of our trips to North GA. Must try breakfast place down the road - Nomad!

Bathrooms and shower areas are in tip top shape and we'll maintained.
They have firewood and ice ready available for you as well.

I definitely plan to come back to this wonderful place! I had such a great time and left feeling completely refreshed!

Parking becomes an issue around lunch but if u get lucky the $5 is worth the beautiful views and awesome beaches. Picnic tables make it easy to have lunch. Bring your floaties but if not there is a store for purchases and some rentals.

Bring water shoes!!! And you will have the best day. Get there early on the weekends. The water is cool and feels great on a hot summer day. The swimming area is large and gets super deep. Our family loves it. Plenty of shady areas to picnic. We’ve rented kayaks and had fun exploring the lake. They also have paddle boards for rent- including a party paddle boat which looked fun and held 4-6 people. They have floats, grilling stuff, water shoes and snacks/drinks for sale.

Nestled in the Blue Ridge lake. This the perfect place to hang on the “beach” with kids. You can also rent a kayak. The sand is a little rocky, but the view is breathtaking.

Great place for a lake day! The beach is clean and there are a lot of trash cans and picnic tables. It does get busy so parking can be tough.

Very astonishing place. Try to avoid when it's too sunny. There is a separate area to swim. We didn't know about this area so went without spare clothes. Beautiful lake for Kayaking, Boat riding and swimming!

Beautiful Gem, in the North Georgia Mountains this national forest is so clean and they have everything you need for camping the only camp ground I know of that will deliver your ice and wood to your site, they even rent kayaks. Its a very quiet peaceful place to camp, and the sunsets are gorgeous.
