It was a nice country atmosphere. Not crowded at all. The food was awesome, made fresh to order.. And the service was great. The young man that was in charge was glad to be a part of their family business, and continued to say he was going to continue to do his best to make it a successful family business....And with his great manners and gratitude to be able to serve us, I can agree that he WILL DO HIS BEST...So if you haven't tried it, I highly suggest that you do! It's AWESOME

Great place to get some really good fresh caught fish for a great price. It's like stepping back in time to an old country dinner the way it should be but instead of burgers they have fish. I'm just sorry it took me so long to try it. Best fish have found next to home cooked and fresh enough it reminds me of helping my dad clean fish while my mom fried them up for supper.

Wonderful food and friendly staff. The cat fish hush puppies and fried okra were cooked to perfection, with wonderfully homemade potato salad and tartar sauce.

The reviews got us here - the food will bring us back! I'm not a seafood fan (and definitely not catfish), but this place changed my mind!! The fried shrimp was outstanding. And I always thought catfish tasted like lake water - but not this catfish. It tasted super fresh (no murky water taste) and the breading was outstanding as well! And the gal running the counter....I wish I had gotten her name - she was super friendly and just super nice. Great experience all around - highly recommend this place :)

Delicious catfish fillets, great hush puppies, and my kids ate every single french fry. The service was great and the people were so nice. Reminds me of getting fried fish down south. 10/10 recommend!

This is by far some of the best fish that you will ever eat in your life! The flavor, the texture and service is superior. I come from Dallas and every time I come home I have to stop by and get my catfish fix.

Always have great fish and side dishes. I go there all the time. They have great raw fish as well. They are very sweet and love hospitality. I have known them for a long time. Keep up the good work you guys. I will be back soon

Won't have to go to Monroe for good catfish anymore! Catfish always fresh, seasoned well and fried just at the right temp to make it really crispy! Good sides too. Friendly local owners.

The place for catfish is here! You cant go wrong with their okra, cole slaw, potato salad and corn bites . Dont miss it if your traveling thru or staying in Bastrop.

Anytime I have company in from out of town I like to take them here. I like the catfish filet, and my husband likes the gar steak and buffalo ribs. You can even call your order in. Very nice people, fair prices and you will be satisfied with the portions.

Very good place to eat and everyone is so nice that works there. The owner is amazing. I definitely recommend eating there. Their fish and everything is always fresh.

Just a little Mom and Pop style place. The food is always hot and fresh! Its never greasy or taste like old grease. It's just really good fried fish.
