Beautiful trails through the park; very serene atmosphere. Dog friendly with plenty of picnic spots around the lake. Beautiful views... and free:) Our dog loves spending the day exploring the woods. I would say it is a hidden gem 10 min away that I just found out about and am now hooked. It is a very relaxing and beautiful bike ride as well.

One of my favorite parks in Columbus, ga. Nice and safe area. Plenty of Frisbee golf and two playgrounds. Water looks Serene and peaceful when going down the rocks. Fun and cooling during hot days. Nice full pond that's good for fishing and open areas for kite flying.

Beautiful natural areas. Very well maintained. Lots and lots of play area for kids or pets. Not everyone actually follows the leash rules though so be aware if you are afraid of dogs or your animals are dog reactive. 2 different playground areas for kids. Tons of biking/hiking trails. Paved walkways for those of us who tend to be clumsy on uneven terrain. Fishing areas, picnic tables, disc golf galore, grilling areas all over. Great place to go relax and connect with nature or just do some yoga or meditate.

This is a beautiful, unique park in the north side of town. As a Floridian, parks with large rock faces and flowing water like this are rare. I was in town and wanted to explore, and I was not disappointed.

The park is pretty large. I was limited on time so I didn’t get to walk through it all, but it looks to have lots of trails and pathways for walking, and the scenery is beautiful.

If you’re in Columbus, this is definitely worth visiting if you need an afternoon to relax, or to have a get-together.

Flat Rock Park, my favorite Park in the city. I recommend going before it gets dark, for extra safety. Not to mention the park closes at sundown. There is at least one police officer that comes and drives through the park and pushes everybody towards the exit.
You can fish here. One of the most popular attractions now is the Disc Golf course(s) weaved throughout the part. It is on my to-do list, of things to try.
I've seen people have baby showers, weddings, picnics & cookouts, family photo shoots, and glamour shots, and even family reunions.
You can bring your dogs (with a leash) to the park. There are multiple playgrounds for the children. Come check it out. There are bathrooms and trash cans on site and the bathrooms do have toilet paper and are clean typically which is surprisingly awesome.
There are some grilling areas/picnic tables. ( I'd probably bring my own stuff though. I don't personally know if there are specific rules) there are a few buildings on site that you can look into renting out for an occasion also.
I do wish the city would work on tree removal at this park. I use to work in trees. There is a lot that could be done that would keep the park beautiful and safe. The park is a free way to have some fun, so please respect it when you come visit. Hope to see some new faces.

My family and I love to come out here weekly and journey around the park enjoying fresh air and sincere connection with each other in nature! It is always a different adventure.

Please be careful when the rocks are wet! I have had a family member slip and hurt themselves🙏🏽

Very clean facilities and grounds well kept. Great place for meeting friends and family. Bike trails.. fishing lake..disc golf course.. plenty of grilling huts and open grills.. Very popular with the RC crawling community!! The restroom could use a little updating but they're still not bad. Overall I'm going to give it 5 stars!!! Also very amazing place to take photos.

I want to expand on this review because this place deserves it. The water cascades over and around rocks until it feeds into a stream. The stream is often more interesting with the lil ducks that come and play. There is a paved pathway for cars that travels all the way around this park. As you continue, you will see bigger rocks, small bike paths, the frisbee game goals, different rock structured places to grill. There is a pavilion that can be ranted for parties. The stream feeds into a big pond that you circle around. Yo can fish here. The trees, the water, the wildlife, the different paths and what not make for a relaxing stroll or ride thru a beautiful place.

Cool place! There's a lot to do. It's a big part of you just want to walk around or climb on the rocks. It's super chill! You can bring your bike and ride around there's trails in the woods and trails that are blacktop. Cool little waterfall! There's also a disc golf coarse! Place is worth a look if you are in the area!

Awesome place ever!
Hiking trails, fishing spot, climbing area, watch for your little kids they can get hurt if you're not watching them correctly. Wild life watching ( be quiet though). Other than all of this it's awesome. I love it.
And pets are welcomed also.

I mostly drove, but I did get out and walk around a little bit. There is a trail here that I didn’t hike this time. Maybe I’ll do it the next time I’m in the area

I almost didn't visit, as I heard comments from others about the 'trash' and the park had gone down hill. After asking a few of the staff at my dogs day care- I took a chance as they all said it was a lovely park. I'm very happy I didn't miss it! There were some areas that did have one or two pieces of trash others had left behind---while I didn't appreciate that the over all beauty and serenity of this park is one you don't want to miss. There were plenty of others walking, enjoying and playing with their children. Joggers, hikers were all around. And a perfect walk with my Blue heeler. It was absolutely lovely.

Wonderful place to walk around. There are 2 playgrounds for children. A disc golf course. Plenty of picnic tables all over the park.

Enjoyed getting out close to the water and taking pictures. Be careful of the algae covered rock close to the water's edge.

If you're going to do something that could get a little rough, like a Nerf war. Pick the area carefully. Away from the creek is enough dirt on the ground, but there are many areas that is just bare rock.

We were so lucky to discover Flat Rock Park on our weekend getaway to Columbus! Its absolutely gorgeous, and is now our favorite park in all of South and Middle Georgia.
The park is huge and offers miles of hiking and biking trails, gorgeous views, swimming/wading areas, disc golf, playgrounds, pavilions and picnic areas, geocaching, and waterfalls galore.
Although I highly recommend getting out and exploring, you can also enjoy the park without stepping foot outside of your vehicle. There's a one-way paved loop the circles the park, which provides excellent views from the comfort of your car.
As unbelievable as this hidden gem is, its even more unbelievable that its completely free. There's no admission charge or parking fee of any kind.
If you're in the area, then this park is a must-see! And its definitely worth a drive for for those farther away that love nature and the outdoors.
PSA- Do be sure to watch out for centipedes and cactus/prickly-pears while visiting, they're vicious!
