Atchafalaya Cafe

On the recommendation of a co-worker we went to Atchafalaya Cafe. I got the seafood trio (seafood platter). The quality and the size of the shrimp, oysters, and fish were great. There was plenty on the plate as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd have to say it's the best I've had in a year or so.

The potato salad wasn't near as good. It was basically just potatoes drenched in mayonnaise. I don't recommend that.

This place is a solid go to for great Cajun cuisine.

It’s located right on the main drag through Morgan City. The service is always top notch and the food never disappoints.

You have to stop by and see the memorabilia down the hall ranging from old oil & gas photos to the “Elvis” costume. It’s like dinner and a show :)

Great food hidden in the middle of Morgan City. We are definitely glad we stopped. The Shrimp, Corn and Crab Bisque was some of the best I have ever had. You can taste the freshness in the seafood. The shrimp and fish plate was excellent. The prices are also reasonable. Definitely will be back.

Another great find in Morgan City, LA. Had the best Roast Beef poor boy with Debris gravy and sweet potato fries (my favorite). Our girl was great, fast with the order. Well versed in the menu and let me know immediately her favorites. Service here is a winner. All kinds of awesome dinning options. They also have a large very well stocked bar room, perfect for any kind of party. Additionally they have a screened in room for outdoor dinning with plenty of seating. There is a lot of history in this place, much is hanging on the walls. Plenty of parking all around this stand alone building. Extra points for the very clean bathrooms. I’ll be back here to try out all of the other delicious looking choices on the menu.

Had the Redfish Lagnaippe. That was a good hunk of fish. The crab cake and the shrimp toppings were great. Tip your server. This is a place where locals eat. Brought a co-worker back, and we destroyed a softshell crab special and the Dungeness crab clusters.

It had been years since I visited the Atchafalaya Cafe, last time they were downtown Morgan city. The quality of food and service hasn’t changed!
Delicious poboys and the hush puppies were tasty. I got the roast beef poboy and while there could have been a little bit more roast beef it was tender, flavorful and the bread was on point. My mom loved her fried oyster poboy. I’ll be sure to stop in next time I’m in the area.

We had a table of 10. I ordered crab cakes for my meal. They do have specials. All of our food came out together and was hot. Excellent service and food.

Stumbled upon this place and oh my gosh, the sweet and capable service team along with the food were over the top. I had the crawfish etouffee over rice with catfish, corn and bread. It was SO TASTY that I ordered the shrimp, crab and corn bisque. DANG good, so I went for the bread pudding. I'm outta words here and about to pop - just get your keys and go.

Had the Bayou Pasta and husband had a fried oyster po-boy. Oysters were good but the bread was the kind of bread a poboy should be served on. Pasta was great. Service was spectacular.

Amazing, food, atmosphere and the owner is just wonderfully delightful.!!!! She even hooks our non-profit up with local community leaders and media! Thank you for your support to Sister-Corps.

Wow! Absolutely amazing food and the servers were very friendly and checked on me frequently. Best Roast Beef poboy I've had in years, and the price was 🔥 too, Oooeee my new favorite spot in Morgan City! I'll defff be back!

Fantastic service and food. I had the oyster poboy with sweet potato fries, and it was really nice. Several appetizers were ordered and they came quickly and fresh, as did the refills. Great place, and I fully recommend it.

We stopped at this cute little Cafe on our way to an appointment. The atmosphere is super cute and decorated with a Cajun theme. Our server was pleasant and the food came out really quickly. Everything tasted amazing and my husband and I both said we'd happily drive the 45 minutes to come back.

Blackened fish and shrimp platter delicious. Seafood gumbo spiced just right. The service was spot on 👍

Everyone went out of their way with the service. The retro music was so good the guy at the next table kept singing. And they told him the bread pudding was hot out the oven with rum sauce, so he got some to share with his lady. It was so good he ordered one for me & my sis, too. Simple food, but cooked perfectly.

Fabulous food!!! Great service. My husband and I have been coming to Morgan City for years on our motorcycle and just tried this gem!!!! Will definitely be back!!!
