Alan Townsend and his work crew did an excellent job replacing my roof. They came each day just after sunrise and worked hard all day. My roof looks so good and with their quality work I feel it will last a very long time! I recommend Alan for roofing for a professional job and reasonable cost.

Alan and his team was quick and efficient. I had a leak that needed attention. He had to come out twice but was so nice and courteous and explained everything. He also replaced my mom's roof which was a task. Those guys didn't miss a beat. He was so nice and helpful to my mom. He even reduced her price. Everything looks so nice. Alan put a new roof on our home approximately six years ago. We recently noticed a leak on the ceiling of one of our rooms. I called Alan and he came right over and identified and fixed the problem. My wife contacted Mr. Townsend 12/15/22 around 3pm. Within one hour, he and his crew were at our home checking out the inside, water damage, and then, in cold, windy weather, they got on the roof and determined what caused the leaks. When they left, I had a fair estimate and a time setup for next-day-repairs.
The next day, they arrived on time with all the materials needed, and they completed the repairs for the dollar amount we had agreed to.
I've waited almost a month until we've had a few good rains so I could be honest with this review, even though I got the feeling from Mr. Townsend's crew's work ethic, everything was probably going to turn out fine.
Sure enough, we've had no leaks, and we are completely satisfied with Mr. Alan Townsend's work and his price. By the way, Mr. Townsend was up on the roof in the cold wind working with his crew during the repairs. That meant and says a lot to me.
Also, a week prior to contacting Mr. Townsend, I had called some of the other, seemingly-good, Columbus roof contractors, but after I described what I thought the repair would consist of, I got no replies back - probably because it wasn't considered to be a big-money roof job worthy of their consideration. They need to realize, their lack of concern for this one, small repair job has caused me to put Mr. Townsend at the top of my call list for all of my future roof repairs.

Very prompt, reasonable, and professional! Within hours of a call, Alan was at my door to inspect the leak. Two days later, it was fixed! Very personable and not an office type of calling situation where you get an office instead of the roofer. Alan handled his business personally and was especially prompt which limited the time I had to be off work!
He was great and we will using his to replace in a few years which he was also very honest about, saying we could get a few more years out of the roof before absolutely needing a replacement.

Mr. Townsend replaced my roof in 2020. He and his crew did a nice job. In 2023, I had a leak in the master bedroom during heavy rains. I called Mr Townsend who came exactly when he said he would, immediately found and repaired the problem. The roof itself did not have a problem. The problem was with a flashing around an air conditioner vent. I really appreciate the quick and efficient response I received during this situation.

I called to have two wind turbines installed on my metal roof. Alan promptly answered the phone and came out the same day for a free estimate. We settled on a day the following week for the work. It rained so Alan advised waiting for two days to allow conditions to improve and dry out. He came two days later with a very nice respectful crew. They worked very expeditiously and did a fine job. It looks very good and is allowing hot air to vent from the attic. He charges a very competitive rate and is dependable and available to work. His customer service was refreshing.

We’ve tried to get roofers to our house for the past 6 months. I found Alan Townsend online, called him in the morning and he was at our house that very afternoon to give us a reasonable and fair quote to replace our roof. He said he could begin in a week, but he called the next day and said he would be there in the morning which was even better! I appreciated him moving our project up when given the opportunity. They were right on time both mornings and did a fantastic job! Mr. Townsend checked in several times during the day, and he stuck to his quote even when there were unexpected surprises. He was professional, friendly and extremely responsive! His guys worked very hard and did a great job. I’m SO glad I found Alan Townsend and I highly recommend his roofing company!

Alan came out a couple of weeks ago to give me an estimate on roof repairs I called him back a couple of days later to set it up. Do to a total miss communication on my part he came out this morning to start job. Again my fault. I had to stop him for starting job. He was super understanding and very understanding. I will be calling him again when I can get this done. I just hope he can forgive my screw up and repair my roof again this was all my fault

After noticing a leak in the ceiling the night before, I contacted Alan the next morning. I honestly did not think I could find anyone who could schedule time based on the forecast of projected rain. And even though Alan had a tight schedule, he was able to satisfactorily repair the roof in no time. I was so relieved to know that I no longer had to worry about the water dripping from the ceiling causing more water damage. I highly recommend his services.

Alan Townsend was highly recommended to replace the roof on our house, along with several other roofers. I am “old school” and I chose to go with Mr. Townsend because his crew uses the tack and hammer to secure the shingles to the roof (rather than a nail gun). I called him and agreed on a time for him to come to the house to give an estimate. He arrived at the agreed upon time and gave a very reasonable “on the spot” estimate. Work was started four days later and all went like clockwork and the job was completed in two days (approximately 12-15 work hours). Afterwards, the clean-up was very thorough. The crew was very courteous, professional and task oriented. I have had experience roofing houses myself, so I can appreciate the work they did. I would rate Mr. Townsend and his crew 5 out of 5 stars and an excellent job. I would give him my highest recommendation.
The house is approximately 2,600 square feet, brick veneer, and has a hip roof and a 6/12 pitch. We have received several compliments from our neighbors since the new roof was installed.
