Phil and Melanie and Phil's wife Dawana are beyond a doubt the most caring and compassionate people not only in the Funeral home business but in everyday life. They have taken such wonderful care of my family and have not left a worry or anything for us to have to take care of except to tell them what we need. They have held our hand and provided such a beautiful and loving service to honor my dear husband.

Eleven and a half months ago my dear husband, Harry, went home to Jesus. Melanie and Phil are the best. Harry died on Sunday morning. Phil showed up. He probably had something else to do. But he was there when I needed him. You don’t know when your Loved One is going to actually die. It is not scheduled. No appointment. Yet Phil arrived in a suit ready to help. I can barely write this through the tears. If there are typos, that’s why. So Thank You both, Phil and Melanie. You are remembered. Gratefully.

Melanie and Phil are incredibly dedicated to this work (that most couldn't do). If/when the time arises you can ensure your family member(s) will be handled with dignity and respect all while being supported through the loss. I wouldn't recommend any other funeral service in this area.

Melanie and her family are some of the sweetest and most caring people in all of Rocky Mount. All of the funerals I have attended done by Davis and Little have been beautiful and full of thought and love. Could not recommend them enough!

My father in law’s service was completely by the wishes he had conveyed to Davis & Little! They intervened and dealt with a snow delay and dealing with the cemetery (who wasn’t so easy to deal with). Speaking confidently and handling EVERYTHING! We have recommended them many times since!

Do not use Davis little funeral home in Rocky Mount North Carolina horrible place and horrible nasty attitude people that work there so let's tell the story about what occurred my brother and his wife and their son went in to see my niece I opened the door and went in quietly the lady approached me and said in a nasty tone to me I can't be in there I said okay I said well as I'm whispering this I'm her niece and she said it doesn't matter get out then the woman attempted to grab me by my upper arm and I looked at her like she was a nut job and I said you are very rude then I went and walked out quietly to where all the other family members were which there's probably about I don't know 50 or so family members in a group and the front lobby all together and this woman proceeded to come back out into the lobby and be as loud as she could and nasty toned so loud that the whole group of family out there waiting all of them shut up that were talking and was just staring at this lady acting like a nutcase and during this she said to me I think it's best if you leave so I'd like to thank this lady for not letting me be able to see my niece and say my goodbyes this woman is a complete nut Job and in that line of business of working in a funeral home you should not be nasty with people and then proceed to do what she did and the whole group of family like she did that I don't think she needs to be in this kind of business and she is a horrible wicked person for the whole circumstances of what happened she could have handled the situation nicely and without a severe attitude problem and just said I think you need to wait outside they're having their time with her right now but that is totally not how that woman dealt with that I feel bad for anyone that goes to this funeral home I would suggest nobody use this funeral home that is I my mind is just blown about how this woman handle this situation and then made it where a family member couldn't even say goodbye to their loved one horrible and disgusting I'll be contacting my lawyer Monday for emotional distress
