Yep its a speed trap... But I was speeding when I received my ticket from the nice assistant chief of police (I believe that's what the ticket said he was). If you speed in this town they will ticket you. They have speed limit signs for a reason!!! I paid my ticket and slowed my butt down. The officer was only doing his job.

Great place friendly people. And for all you people crying about getting tickets quite breaking the law and they will have no excuse to ticket you.

Okay just adding that yes this town sucks and really glad everyone feels the same about that 45, 55, 65 & back down all within like 3 miles😭. Ticketed for 66 in a 45. Only car on the road aside from a black pickup that was going a solid 65-70 the whole time in front of me. Pulled over in eyeshot (maybe .2miles away) of the 65mph sign, was next to a 55 sign, cop was sitting towards the end of the 45 area✨. 3 stars tho: Office ladies (when they answer) are sweet & got me onto a payment plan.

Issue tickets right where 65 becomes 50 with no warning. I have seen people driving through get tickets that don't even seem correct on the mph. Clear scam by the city for more money instead of making the road safer and its laws more clear. Would drive around this entire city if it was not mandatory going north/south.

Fraudulent ticket, I was going the speed limit, than all of a sudden I see a cop so far down, coming up the highway. There was a black truck speeding, he seen the cops and jumped in front of me. I guess the cop didn’t even really know who to stop. So he just stopped me, being that I was the one that slowed down, so he can stop the other vehicle. I told him he made a mistake, but he wasn’t trying to hear it

Yep, drops from 65, to 45mph within an eighth of a mile on the south side of their city limits, in a curve, and then there he sets all ready to write you up. Population of 326 people. I passed the sign at 51mph. Ticket was less than $200...lol..... Definitely a speed trap, I guess that's the only way they have to raise revenue for their city. I'm sure this makes the city a lot safer. If they had a store or gas pump, I would not stop there. I wish the new highway had bypassed their town. Lol

Omg so I am not the only one who has had this happen. I literally seen the speed limit sign say 65 then all the sudden woop..woop I was like omgash was I speeding I looked at my sod I was going 60 .. I was like huh? I received a ticket I am now trying to pay my ticket but can't seem to get an answer on the phone.. It's definitely a speed trap and the people at the office are nice as I called in before but for some reason I can't seem to get anyone on the phone today.. I love the lady's in the office it's not there fault I just wish I knew the area before I had never been through there before and I kind of feel set up

This "Village" issued a fraudulent ticket to my wife who was not even in Louisiana. We have digital proof where she was on this date. I tried to call and resolve this matter with no success. We are looking for an attorney in LA to take this matter. If anyone else has had this issue with this department please post so we can compare notes and pursue this litigation together.

The town hall representatives have POOR customer service. I have contacted them over 50 times and I still have no response.

Ticket paid but it is a speed trap there police do act cocky I respect police but there is no reason to act cocky !!!

They will find any reason they can to give you a ticket at any costs, and their fines are extremely over-priced.

It is a SPEED TRAP. The officer was rude. So, you get 1 star.
