The Salem Opry House is a Catfish House with a History. This neat lil place hidden just a short distance outside of Collins, Ms. When you first pull up, well, the building itself will have your undivided attention, but the best part happens after you get inside and get seated. Not only are the folks great here, the food is too.

This Place put Salem on the map and definitely a TOP representation of true Southern Mississippi Hospitality and cooking! The Fried catfish is truly a Southern delicacy with sides like Turnip greens, their hush puppies are crisp and seasoned just right, try the sweet tea. Take a ride to the most beautiful place on earth and treat your soul to a visit.

The decor is amazing. The food is great and the amount of food served to you will blow your mind. The prices are very reasonable. I had hush puppies, cole slaw, turnip greens( best I have ever tasted), fried crab claws, 12 pieces of catfish filets, baked potato, and 3 glasses of the best sweet tea. (No I didn't eat it all). The price. $38.00. Can not be beat and I have eaten at a lot of fish houses around this country and this ranks as one of the best. Treat yourself and family if you live within 100 miles, take a ride and enjoy dinner.

The hostess was very friendly and made sure to get us a seat quick.
We had greens and Cole slaw and hush puppies for a appetizer also tried the cheese curds they were good!
My Ribeye was cooked to perfection!
The baked potato was good too!

Delicious fish and always served with coleslaw, hush puppies, and turnip greens that are wonderful. The shrimp and oysters are very good also.

The Best Fish I Ever Had..It was Fresh,Hot,and Delish❣

We had a great meal and loved this place. We had a slight wait but when the food is good you expect a wait time. The wait staff was super on top of keeping the turnip greens, slaw n hush puppies coming as well as keeping the drinks filled. I had the fried shrimp and they were perfect. My husband had the blacken shrimp and the other couple had the salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection.
This was our first visit but we will go back. I did not have room for dessert but I will plan better as the have White Chocolate Bread Puddin.

Some really good whole fish and hush puppies, and the turnip greens in the black pots,oh my! Some of the best I've ever eaten, great smoky flavor. Great atmosphere, service is great, esp Jennifer! Definitely will be back over and over!

The food is soo good! I was greeted with a big friendly smile and the service was fast and amazing even though they had a full house. I will definitely be back and might grab me a tshirt next time too 😁

Always friendly service. The fried fish is the best. They have great "fixins" too such as coleslaw, hushpuppies, and turnips. They do also offer boiled shrimp, crabcakes, fried oysters, and baked salmon.
