El Jimador Authentic Mexican Restaurant

Love this restaurant! My family and I came and fell in love with Hosea. We have been here a few times and he is very attentive, impressionable, he talks and jokes with you. Makes you feel like family. We love going back whenever we can. Thank you Hosea.

What a place!!! This was my first time here and I was also excited about the place and food. As soon as we made entry, we got the place to sit on high chairs. Server was attentive and every other staff member was so nice to customers. Atmosphere was really great. Bar section is pretty big in size.

Talking about food, it was really amazing. Served very hot and quickly. I ordered some kind of Enchiladas (Chicken), I don’t remember the exact name but it was really awesome. Served with salad and rice. My friend ordered some kind of Veg dish and he said it’s also good. Nachos and salsa are always my favorite. Quantity is also more than enough to one person. Overall I was very satisfied with the food. Love to visit again and again.

We had a great dinner tonight at El Jimador! From start to finish staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful! Service was fast and friendly! The guacamole was made tableside and was delicious! The food was delicious, especially the ACP Alambre! The strawberry mango margarita was delicious too! Definitely recommend El Jimador and we will definitely will be returning again!

Quick service, very friendly servers, the managers always are ready to work with you. I love the bar in the back with the TVs and good music. Perfect lighting. family friendly. get there early cause the place gets packed!!!

Hannah was the best server. Very kind and attentive. The cowboy dip was so cheesy! Fajitas were great but could have been hotter. Really good salsa and great Margheritas. Would definitely recommend this place.

It was my first time visiting this restaurant and of course we'll be going back. We were celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday. Staff were so accommodating and friendly. Food was hot and delicious.

This is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant I have ever tried. I am a big fan of Mexican food, and have been to numerous places. We were traveling back from Florida to Maryland, and stopped here on the way to get food. The salsa's and food were superb!! Generous portions, a great menu, and excellent service. I got the chorizo queso and chicken and steak dinner fajitas, and the taste was absolutely phenomenal. The meat was tender and had juicy, with a tasty crust. The prices are great for this kind of quality of food. Highly recommend!

this is the best Mexican place in Rocky Mount. very good service and food. Bar is fantastic and the atmosphere is very pleasing. You can tell the owner cares, this is a gem in Rocky Mount.

For those who care, this is "real" Mexican food--not Tex-Mex (Tex-Mex often uses cheddar cheese and throws cumin in everything; to each his own but I prefer white queso Oaxaca and less cumin).

The food and atmosphere was great! This was our second time dining out at El Jimador and the service was just as good as the first time! My choice this time was the enchiladas del norte and my wife got the shrimp street tacos! I have to say the shrimp tacos was the better choice lots of flavor!

I finally went to El Jimador and heard it was good but definitely exceeded my expectations! The service was beyond excellent and the food was Delicious and not too expensive!!! Would recommend this Mexican Restaurant to everyone!!
