Bowlin's BBQ

My recommendation: go for the chicken. If you want red meat though, get the ribs. Their fried chicken is probably the best I've ever had, their ribs are really good, and their brisket is just okay.
Overall this place is a hidden gem way out in the middle of nowhere. We drove on a dirt road to reach this place. The vibe is enjoyably old school and we learned that it used to be a honky tonk back on the day.
The staff is very pleasant.

We got there a little after 8 and there were still about 30 people there, including a large family group. It's out in the country, not in Chelsea, in case you couldn't tell from the map or other reviews. You walk through the little grocery to the back, that's where the restaurant is. This isn't a high-class place, but that's how you know it's good It's "homey". Comfortable, well used chairs invite you to stay a while. The BBQ tonight was ok, I thought, not great. Maybe an off night. But the fried chicken! Best I've ever had (except my mom's and my wife's).

It's Super Cool. Old family restaurant and we'll worth a visit. It's a piece of history you don't want to miss out on.

It's definitely out of the way, but it's a unique place. Barbecue served in a rustic, no frills early 20th century way. You've got to experience it if you're a barbecue fan.

Awesome place out in the country...great food and great people. It's the oldest establishment in Chelsea serving great food over 100 yrs.... you gotta try it !!!!

Some of the best BBQ, and sides, in northeast Oklahoma. This place is quiet and out of the way, but u won't regret it!

We traveled two hours to visit this historical restaurant. There is a tiny convenience store up front and large restaurant in the back. The restaurant is only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. At first look from the outside you may not be impressed, but it is awesome food and super great people who own the place. There is a ton of history dating back to the late 1800's. The food is inexpensive and they have $2.00 beer. It's not fancy, but definitely worth the trip. We plan on visiting again.

I haven’t been here in 20 years (it was a bar back then) but you could still get that wonderful chicken laying on a piece of bread even then. Great folks.

Food and personal service was fabulous. It is definitely worth the drive. I'm going again soon. Walking into their places is like stepping back in time and the food is awesome!

This place has the absolute best barbeque chicken around. If you are looking for a cozy down home feel with great food you need to look no further. Friendly staff and great food. It is definitely worth the drive. I highly recommend this place to anyone, you won't find a better barbeque joint with this kind of laid back atmosphere.

We frequent this place often. Great food, wonderful people, and the only place around that I can take my kids for real food and a game of pool! Love this place!

Oh lawrd..it's been a minute since I've been here..! Food..always good, just like I remembered ! Glad I stopped by with my grandsons (3)... we played pool..which they thought was "cool"
