Physical Therapy at Bailey Medical Center

Wonderful group of physical therapists. Really instructed well and did great job of getting my shoulder on the right path toward normalcy after total shoulder replacement. Highly recommend

I was referred to Bailey Medical Center by my doctor to try physical therapy on my shoulder. Having been through physical therapy before, it seemed pretty standard... walk my fingers up a wall, lift some light weights, roll a ball on a wall, etc. I went for 8 visits. Then I got billed over $1,100 after PPO discounts and insurance payments. They billed insurance over $1,000 per visit! The $1,100 was 25% co-insurance! My insurance company confirmed these charges were much higher than they typically see for physical therapy so they called the billing office and was told this is hospital-based and those are the standard charges. I called and was told the same thing and that I signed the financial consent. I asked if the financial consent included what they were charging (of course it doesn't) and was told that it says what insurance pays. I understand what insurance pays, but when you charge such outrageous prices, fat lotta good having insurance does you. The billing office will not budge on this one bit. I'm appalled and will never use Bailey Medical. I also confirmed that had I used Hillcrest in Tulsa (same medical group), I would have been charged a fraction of what Bailey charged me. Ugh!
