Skillet Restaurant

This was my first visit but it's definitely not my last. The food is southern style goodness. My wife got the bacon omelet, hashbrowns, and toast. I got a new menu item called the mother clucker. It was a chicken breast on a southern biscuit topped with eggs cooked your way, smothered with milk gravy and topped with cheese. I got it with hashbrowns. It delicious. You can't beat the prices either.

I first visited a Skillet Restaurant in Charlotte over 10 years ago, and I can say it's still a great restaurant! The staff was friendly, funny, and accommodating. My family and I were visiting from Atlanta. So, if you’re ever in Spartanburg, check them out! Great food and great price.

Skillet is great. Insider tip get there early. This place still has that down home southern feel. The food is good, prices are good. Only down side is the place can get really busy with a small space to wait for a table to open up. (Standing room only) other then that one of the few good breakfast places left in Spartanburg.

Wonderful! It's a busy place so don't be in a hurry but it is worth it! The food is absolutely delicious, our coffee cups never ran empty and everyone kept checking to see if we needed anything. The mother clucker and the hungry man with hamburger steak was well worth the wait! I highly recommend this hot spot for breakfast!

Nice little restaurant with a great breakfast. While visiting the area for a month, we visited several times. We had the Early Riser Wrap(on the lunch menu but available for breakfast) and the Country Benedict. Service is good and very quick. Small restaurant with tables and lots of counter seats. Would definitely return when in the area.

First time going was after work Around 6am or so. Great service the scenery is cute and welcoming. They have such a variety of breakfast and lunch choices. (Their hours are 6am-2pm.)Our server was friendly and helpful. I ordered the mother clocker it was so good everything was made fresh!!! Definitely will be back ! 😊

Heather's Omlette is delicious!! Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The cook was helping with waiting on tables, and he did great! Our waitress got all our orders correct, we got refills, and our food was all delicious.

If you fancy a lunch and coffee in Spartanburg, The Skillet won't disappoint. I've started coming here frequently for lunch breaks and the service is always quick and friendly. The food is reasonably priced, which will certainly be an attractive aspect if you're trying to save money in 2024. I typically go for a club sandwich or grilled chicken salad here. I recommend it for sure!

We stopped by early morning for a breakfast on our road-trip. It’s a small cozy restaurant - and looked like a locals favorite. Most of the people knew each other. Fresh breakfast was served by friendly staff. The options are less, but everything tasted good.

On the way home from Virginia with just 1,000 miles left to get home & we just HAD TO stop by The Skillet Restaurant because the ENTIRE TOWN of Spartanburg recommended them for breakfast & they..did.. NOT disappoint!!! 5 STAR⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ GREAT PLACE TO EAT for ALL hours of the day!!!! Food & Service! Now, on the road again we come!!

Excellent customer service and food all in one little hole in the wall. I definitely recommend Skillets as a must stop and eat while the Spartanburg area..

Just a homey neighborhood restaurant. My son had the redneck special with corn beef hash and a grilled buttered choc. chip waffle he seemed pleased and there was none left. I had eggs, Bacon ( crisped perfectly), Hashbrowns & toast. Can't comment on the price my son treated! Cups never got empty service was awesome

Hands down the best place for an affordable, great breakfast. Limited seating but we'll worth the wait. Silver dollar pancakes, and basically anything in the menu is to die for! Much better service and food quality than Papas.

We were traveling and found this place online. It's been open over 50 years, and no wonder! Food was amazing, staff was friendly, service was fast. You could tell its a locals favorite, customers were greeted by name. Don't miss this place !

Old timey diner, good, traditional food and great prices. Over 76 years in business. Tiny local business...enjoy! I had breakfast but I saw a cheeseburger club with fries that looked great. The staff is super friendly and the customers are chatty.

I cannot rave about this place enough. The food was AMAZING, service was incredible, and our server Kelly was the best. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so on top of it and organized in my life! I wish I lived in town, I’d be here all the time!!
