Akira Sushi Bar

I came to town for work and decided to have Japanese. Exceptional fast and friendly service. The salmon dinner was excellent but needs help on the food presentation. Definitely recommended from a well traveled foodie.

Great spot, friendly and prompt service. The living water in the Steven were delicious. The ring of fire is good, but the Steven has more flavor and a little bit of spice.

The appetizer platter paired with crab cakes, potstickers, and jalapeno blossom are a sure when...

There's also a Blue Margarita that I forgot the name of that was really good...

Crab Rangoon was great! Sesame chicken was excellent but I don’t love their fried rice. It’s probably because it doesn’t have a lot of bad-for-you ingredients in it 🤣🤷🏼‍♀ - who knows?!

This is our favorite place for sushi in town. Great service with Yara last night. Sushi, salmon, drinks, and top it off with molten lava cake were excellent!! Highly recommended if you're in Owasso.

All the fish tasted fresh. Toro nigiri was really good.

The menu is fairly large— they have a huge selection of rolls you can choose from.

I personally don’t like cream cheese, asparagus, or jalapeños in my rolls so I opted for plainer rolls, but the majority the rolls contain at least one of these.

One of the rolls we ordered had tempura that definitely wasn’t freshly made— it was chewy because the batter on the tempura was cold/not fresh.

Thai tea was too sweet for me.

I feel like they can improve on the rice. Fish and other ingredients were good quality, but the rice takes the experience down a notch.

The chirashi felt a little small, but I think the price for the amount of the fish was okay.

Would definitely come back for sashimi and nigiris.

Really enjoyed the food. We had the Sampler appetizer, Molly roll, Philadelphia Roll, Crunch roll and Lava Cake. To drink we tried the Tokyo Mule and Berry-Rita. This was my first time trying this restaurant and the atmosphere was very nice and the food was very good with reasonable prices that are typical for decent sushi restaurants. I found the value for the taste to be excellent for the rolls. I have tried sushi restaurants across the U.S. and I think this place is easily in the top 15% for service, taste and value. Way to go!

I have went to Akira several times over the past few years, but have finally got around to reviewing this fine establishment.

Akira has some of the best Japanese cuisine in the Tulsa Metro area. The Steak Shikoyaki is always delicious, and their Miso Soup is far more flavorful than several competitors.

I have always had wonderful service, very attentive and they never keep you waiting on the check. The atmosphere inside is very modern and clean. Overall, I have found good Asian food difficult to find in the Tulsa area, but Akrira is definitely worth a look.

First time coming here and the fire was excellent! The waitress did a great job! Very knowledgeable about the rolls and the crab cakes were really good as well

First time here, I totally understand why everyone talks so good about this place! Bailey took great care of us, was very patient with us and answered any questions we had. Also, LOOK AT HOW CUTE THEY MADE MY CATERPILLAR ROLL!!!!

The presentation was amazing! The food was all very good! The only thing I will say is it’s a little odd that the mango fried ice cream cake with chocolate syrup.. not gross just odd, it didn’t taste bad and I get it’s for presentation but might I suggest strawberry or coconut? Anyways everything was very high quality and the service was great! We will be back!

Akira is our families go to for sushi. We like to sit at the sushi bar and watch the chefs preparing the goodness. We've been going since they opened and love it.

Update: return visit and more in love with it than before! The Mr. T roll was calling my name! The Ahi big eye tuna sashimi melted in my mouth!

Fantastic late night dinner! We came in 30 minutes before closing and received incredible service! We will be dreaming of the deluxe sashimi platter till we have it again! Every piece of fish was melt in your mouth fresh! The crab Rangoon was fresh and not at all greasy! We also had the Mr. T roll, probably ordering one for lunch today it was soooo good!

The food was great! Service was awesome!! We will definitely be coming back. My son and I loved Akira.

I live an hour and a half away from Owasso, but Akira is one of my favorites and I try to go anytime I have the chance. Gloria has always been and will always be my favorite!! I ordered a pretty basic roll today and asked her to suggest a second one for me to try. She asked what things I liked and what my allergies were (if I had any) - then suggested a roll. It was the BEST roll I have ever tried there. If you have the chance to have “Gloria C” as your waitress, you will not be disappointed, she’s the best!! Thanks for always being great, Gloria!

Mr. Huynh generously brought my office lunch and it was the best food ever! There was a tender juicy steak over noodles, sushi, rolls, wontons, salad and more.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Owasso's Akira Sushi Bar to anyone looking for great food.

Really great sushi selection here. I tried the Owasso roll and it was super tasty. From the moment we walked in, the girls at the front desk, our waiter and everyone who worked there were all very friendly. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the sushi tastes fresh. I was just sad that the Uni had ran out, maybe we can try it next time.

My Friday favorite… deadhead roll and Udon stir fry and they never disappoint… Akira has one of the best Sushi I have come to know. Ermmm I forgot to take a pic of my dead head roll 😩

Great sushi place. They have a million different rolls to choose from. Lots of different flavors of sake. And everyone there was nice and friendly.
