Dr Joseph was phenomenal. He was a very laid back and cool dude. He performed emergency stitches on my dog after she cut herself open. The professionalism and conduct performed by staff made the experience less stressful

After being told that they "didn't have time to squeeze me in" at a different vet clinic in Wichita Falls, I decided to come here because of their "no appointments, walk ins always welcome" policy. And boy am I glad I did.

My dog, Grace hadn't been lethargic and not eating all weekend, and when she threw up on Monday morning while waiting to here back for an appointment time at this *other* vet clinic, I grabbed Grace, jumped in the car, and we high tailed it for Colonial Park.

I knew something was seriously wrong with her, and was almost in tears when I checked in at the front desk. Mary Beth was kind and compassionate, and they worked to get Grace in front of a doctor as soon as they could.

We didn't have to wait long before Dr Lehman was running tests and found out that Grace had a serious infection. With a white blood cell count of 0, and fluid in her abdomen apparent on x-ray, Dr. Lehman recommended leaving her overnight for fluids and antibiotics.

The next morning, I was woken up by a call from Dr. Lehman, who was supposed to be off that day but had come in specifically to tend to Grace, saying that they had done an ultrasound and aspirated the fluid, and she suspected that Grace had a septic abdomen.

As I internally broke down, she stayed kind, compassionate, and patient while explaining our options, with her personal reccomendation to take Grace to a specialist in Oklahoma City for exploratory surgery. She explained that they could do the surgery at Colonial Park, but that the specialist she would trust most only works in Wichita Falls on Thursdays, and we didn't have that kind of time.

After consulting with my wife, I picked Grace up, where all of her paperwork, labs, and records were neatly in a folder, and rushed her for surgery.

Grace had surgery done by Dr Tangner (who works at Colonial Park on Thursdays and is AMAZING) in Oklahoma City, and when we got back to Wichita Falls two days later, I called to update Dr Lehman and get advice for follow up. Again, she was extremely patient with my questions, and helped me feel much calmer about the situation.

A couple days later (Saturday), Grace wasn't drinking as much water as I thought she should be, and I was worried about dehydration. My wife and I brought her in, and though Dr Lehman wasn't there, Dr Wurster took fantastic care of us. He recommended bringing her back in for day treatment on Sunday, and though the office was closed, both Dr Wurster and Libby (an amazing Tech!) were there for us.

At the time of writing this, it's been a week since Grace's surgery, and she is recovering well, and should continue on the way to a full recovery.

She wouldn't be here with us if it wasn't for Mary Beth, Libby, Dr Lehman, Dr Wurster, and the rest of the amazing staff at Colonial Park. Their care, professionalism, attention, kindness, patience, and compassion saved Grace's life, made an extremele stressful experience more bearable, provided valuable advice and opinions, and I will never take her back to any other vet in Wichita Falls.

They have taken exceptional care of a rescue dog that we found in the middle of nowhere out by our property. They are so knowledgeable and so nice. Unbelievable customer and animal care.

Love that they are a walk in clinic!!! Besides scheduled vaccines when is a vet trip pre planned? In my case it's never and I love that I don't have to watch my dogs suffering while waiting for an appointment time. They never make you wait very long and will get you back right away if it's an emergency situation. The staff is all very friendly and professional. Vets are knowledgeable and understanding. I won't go anywhere else!

They took care of my pup these past few days as he battles a rattlesnake bite. The staff care, they listen, and they have anti-venom on hand. 450$ a vial. Significantly helped my best friend.

My family has trusted CPVH for all of our dogs' medical needs my entire life. The new building is 1st class, front desk staff are very friendly, and the vet techs are kind and helpful. Drs. Bomer, Sultemeier and Wurster are professional, compassionate, skilled, and excellent communicators. I highly recommend Colonial Park Veterinary Hospital for your pets' medical care.

Love this office! The staff and doctors are fabulous. The atmosphere is calm inside with lots of seating for humans and pets to wait. I always find it funny how all our animals seem to be on their best behavior there haha. Also I am obsessed with the mini pharmacy and how easy it is to pick up medication.

This review is a little tough for me to write. Not because I had a bad experience, just more so due to the reason that I had to visit this establishment. First off, the staff was great. They treated me and my furry friend respectfully and were as sympathetic as they could be while staying professional. I visited Colonial Park as a result of one of my beloved cats suffering from an acute illness. Unfortunately, this was the last stop for my buddy, and after a thorough exam and a critical test, he had to be euthanized. 😥 Other than that unfortunate turn of events, my experience there was great. I would not hesitate to return to this facility for future care of my pets or recommend their services to other pet owners. They do great work there.

We have used Colonial Park for many years and they have always been amazing and had great customer service. Today just confirmed that for me. I took my two big dogs to get a vaccine and I had my baby with me. They were so kind and came out and got my dogs out of the car for me, gave them the vaccines, and brought them back so I never had to get my baby out of the car! It was a huge help and relief for an anxious mom trying to figure out how to manage a baby and two large dogs so thank you so much! We love colonial!

Recently took our new puppy to get her established and start her shots. We have always been happy with our experiences here. They were a lifesaver for our Bella years ago on a Saturday after hours. We highly recommend their clinic.

They took such good care of our 23 year old kitty Boomer, when the time came where we had to make the decision to take her out of her misery and suffering the Doctor and the Vet Tech made sure she was comfortable and didn't feel any additional pain or anxiety, the Doctor gave her a seditive 10 minutes before giving her the final medication, he explained the seditive is so she doesn't feel the pain of the shot given that will stop her heart and put her to sleep. Boomer had always been a inside only cat that had only been to a Veternarian once in the 23 years we had her and that was to get her fixed and vaccinated when she was 6 months old. Watching our always healthy Boomer go from acting like she was the Boss of the house for the last 23 years to not eating (which was her favorite past time) and hardly moving from her spot on the couch in just a few short weeks was awful, you could see in her eyes that last week she was home that she was so tired of feeling so bad, I talked to her and cried all the way to Colonial not knowing what to expect, the Vet was very compassionate and came in and explained the complete process to us then gave us 10 minutes to say our goodbye's,. He was very gentle with her during the whole process, I was so grateful he gave her a seditive before the final shot as that was the first time in week's she looked like her normal self, happy, spoiled and at peace and is the last imagine of her I have. The whole office staff showed such compassion to us and Boomer and treated her with the dignity she deserved. I would recommend them to anyone who has to face this decision. Because Boomer was a part of our family for 23 year's we didn't think twice, we wanted her cremated we would always have a piece of her with us, not only was the cost reasonable they put her ashes in a wooden box urn with her name inscribed on it along with a beautiful poem, they also took her paw prints on a clay stone and had her name inscribed in it, painted and fired. I couldn't thank the staff at Colonial more, they are the best!!

Update: After multiple visits getting my dogs vaccinations (each one due in a different month) and a spay of the newest puppy in my home, I am even happier with the service I and my dogs have received. Each vet/nurse is knowledgeable and helpful. Walk in service is handled quickly. I feel confident in the clinic to care for my dogs and help me make informed decisions about their health.

I recently moved to the area from Kentucky and was looking for a new vet clinic. From over the phone to the office visit the staff was knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant to work with. The doctor and vet tech went over the risk/protocol to find the right set of vaccinations for my dog and answered my questions. I’m so happy we found this clinic .

I wound up having to make an emergency appointment for my cat who was having urinary issues while traveling through Texas on my way home to Louisiana from Montana. It had been a long journey and I was incredibly stressed out and worried about my boy. This clinic, the only one out of 4 in the area I frantically called that was willing to see me on such short notice, saw me immediately and worked with me under very challenging circumstances to get my baby better so I could bring him home. They were so very sweet and understanding and obviously put animal care and treatment at a top priority. They took wonderful care of my boy and kept me updated constantly on his progress throughout the day and night he was in their care. They were incredibly kind and considerate with me made sure to take my travel situation seriously. I can’t say enough genuinely good things about this clinic and their staff. I was a crying, stressed out mess and they were compassionate and so very, very kind. They were also very affordable considering the emergency nature of my visit and I’m happy to say my boy is doing great after getting him checked out by my local vet back home and giving him time to recover. They told me that he had clearly received excellent care that prevented his issues from becoming potentially much more serious. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Colonial Park, I am so grateful vets like this exist!

Our 8 year old female cat, Emma, had an urgent decline in energy and behavior which necessitated immediate veterinary care. We arrived promptly upon opening at 8 AM and were seated. The wait time was reasonable - I estimate we waited about 20 minutes to be seen. By this point, Emma was struggling. She was able to use the litter box in the morning but when she jumped out, she stumbled and fell with a cry. It was heartbreaking to watch our baby suffering like that but we had no idea what was wrong other than she had lost 5+ pounds in the span of a week or two and she could barely walk/hold her head up.

We were greeted by Dr. SARAH LEHMAN, DVM, who was very thorough and to the point. We tested negative for FIV/Leukemia but when the blood tests came back, our worst fears were confirmed. Emma's platelet count was the lowest the Doctor had seen at 6 (normal range was in the hundreds). She presented three options: 1. we throw a hail mary, prescribe antibiotics/comfort meds and see if it resolves itself (almost zero percent chance of success), 2. we see a specialist who can perform a blood infusion which would start at around $5,000 dollars or 3. Euthanasia.

It was a quick decision on our part. The right thing, the humane thing, the action in the best interest of Emma, was to put her to sleep. This is an agonizing decision to make and Dr. Lehman and staff were so very compassionate throughout the ordeal.

Emma was given zolazepam and tiletamine injection prior to the lethal injection of Phenobarbital. She passed away peacefully on the Vet examination table.

I am heartbroken that our baby is gone but am so grateful for Doctor Lehman and staff for making it sting just a little bit less. Peace and love to all - hug your fur babies! Five star veterinary office my wife and I highly recommend.

We were in and out in less than 50 minutes. Both the vet and assistants were extremely professional and caring. This will be our go to vet from now on. Carl is a much happier kitty now!
