Welch Park Somerville Lake

Had a great time at the lake! We drove right down to beach which was a unique experience. Nice spot for sunset, kayaking, paddle boarding which isnwhwt we had planned. There is a boat launch too and lots of campsites. Brought our dog to the lake for the first time. The most unique thing about the lake is the high stone wall or berm around this end so the beach is down below which makes it very scenic.

I love this lake. I love this park too. It's June 9th 2021 and the water was pretty high but the water felt great 83 degree temp. It was a beautiful wonderful day.

Very beautiful camping site. Close to college station. You can park and camp anyplace you like. Definitely will camp again soon.

This is a beautiful park a short drive from Houston or Austin. There are plenty of places to eat, walk, and sit near the water. I didn't use any facilities but there were plenty available throughout the park. We paid $6 for a day pass for two people. Enjoy!

We LOVE the area around campsite #1 at Welch park. It's PERFECT for boats to pull right up into sand wth no rocks. Clean bathrooms on that side too. There was an older gentleman at the check in gate and he was such a pleasure as we checked in.

Beautiful Lake. My family and I love going to this lake. We drive an hour and half cause we love it so much. Kiddos always have a blast.

This lake is apart of my childhood, now that I'm about to be 30 and looking back I've spend every summer here with my family. The fact I now have a husband and children of my own it definitely warms my heart that my kids get to experience there own memories here! Weather if we go for the day or the weekend we always have a great time. The staff are always friendly and do there best to accommodate you on the property! We camp in tents or campers, ride our jetski and boats, you can even rent water slides for the younger kids to get set up on the ground. This is something I will always do and continue to create new memories with my loved ones each new year!

I've been coming here since I was a little girl. It's where I learned how to fish with my Dad. Today I stopped in for a swim with the love of my life. Some many great memories.

First time here we had a great experience very peaceful atmosphere got here super early to get a nice spot. So worth the trip from Houston will def come back !!!

Love the camping here. The lake has a gently sloped bottom also so kids can play in it without any worries about having to constantly watch them. Been going for years with intentions of continuing to do so.

Cover charge for a weekend will run you about $60, swimming and fishing along with water skiing and jet ski

Here for the rally this weekend. The RV site staying at had no electricity (was under water). Blowout was already here working on a plan b. Blowout has been rocking and rolling getting things ready for the rally. Awesome job. 🎉🎉

Wonderful place to camp and have a celebration. Can get hot during the summer, but that is normal. Beautiful views.
