Sturgeon Point State Park

Great rock picking. Very clean with picnic tables and large grass area. Nice sand area, lots of parking.

A really nice park grounds with a lighthouse and a lot of history. Check their hours before you go. Very limited. But a beautiful park and well kept. Highly recommend taking bug spray for all the incessant flies along the beach.

Worth a trip when in the area. Nice beach for stone hunting, lots of fossils, honeycomb corals and occasional petoskeys.

This is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places that I have visited in Michigan. During my visit there was nearly no one there, weather was perfect and water calm. Highly recommend a visit if nearby!

This was a fun stop. Unfortunately it was only open on the outside. It was a great day and the historical items were very interesting. I look forward to going back sometime.

Out of the way lighthouse that's not hard to reach. On lake Huron, north of Harrisville , it's a beautiful setting.

It's such a beautiful beach! Be sure to ware water shoes, so you can walk far out! Maybe beach chairs even if you're up for that kindf thing lol.

We had a beautiful July day to walk up the Lighthouse and enjoy the grounds. Guides are very knowledgeable & interesting.

It was raining and we still got out of the car and got some awesome pictures. It was not open when we were there but it was a cool place.

My wife and I went rock hunting here and found a lot of cool things. Petoskey stones, fossils, agates..

Nice park..the historical society has put alot of effort into making the quarters and lighthouse an interesting visit...with historical furnishings of the time the lighthouse was an active lifesaving station... there's picnic tables and benches and a beach so bring your swim trunks...you can go up in the lighthouse for 3$ it's worth it for the view..the steps r narrow and steep so b prepared...the parking area is a short walk to the lighthouse...bout 100yards or so...

Nice lil out the way stop, beach and historic lighthouse + 100+ yr old school. A real step back into time. Can even climb to the top of the lighthouse for 3$ on the days the gift shops open a real treat for all ages.

Though the lighthouse is not opened in the winter, the beach is still a spectacular place to walk. The view is always uplifting.

One of my favorite places!!!!!!! Except for the jets. Wholly bee beejesus they scared me so bad the first time we went here. But I bet those pilots were having fun following the shoreline.

Wild beach near by... Bring a chair and enjoy the view of the lake & the light house.

I thought it was a very peaceful quiet nice little out of the way place to stop relax look at the lake look at the museum pieces that they have there it was a wonderful experience I highly recommend it

Nice small park on the beach. Very well kept historical site. Easy access. Quiet. Definitely should be on your list of Michigan lighthouses to visit
