Great food. The fried chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and corn bread were wonderful. Reminded me of Sunday dinner at my grandparent's house.

I can't believe this has been here for years without me knowing about it. Thankfully Google led me here and love it. Great home cooking and super friendly staff. Was so good had to come back the next day for a repeat. Will now be a regular stop in my travels thru Sumter County.

A true gem of southern cuisine! Casual diner style seating, with a warm welcome and perfectly fried chicken and fish. The lima beans, collard greens and Mac and cheese were heavenly. The service was prompt, thoughtful and kind. Shoutout to the father-son duo running the show- Bravo! Truly worth the stop!

Very friendly service and the food was great! We got fried chicken, fried catfish, mac and cheese, and greens. Peach cobbler for dessert. The price was great too.

Real. Southern. Fried. Chicken.🍗

Some of the best I’ve ever had. Crunchy, then melts in your mouth 😋

Definitely worth a pitstop if you’re in the area or passing through on the interstate. Mac-and-cheese and collards were also spot on, and the prices are very reasonable!

We were on our way thru on a road trip from Texas to Georgia and decided to hit a few local restaurants along the way. We found this one on Yelp and said why not! We took a quick detour from I-20 and it was worth it. The Fried Chicken is so good and don’t get me started on the Peach Cobbler and Hummingbird bird cake. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Delicious food! Fried chicken was tender, crispy, not greasy at all, and seasoned well. Lima beans and collard greens were tasty. And oh...that banana puddin'! Smothered chicken and gravy looked amazing. Food service was fast, friendly, and generous. So glad we didn't go to a chain restaurant! No indoor dining at the moment due to Covid-19, but there are tables outside.

My family and I stopped here to eat on our way to Atlanta, GA. It came highly recommended when we googled restaurants in the area. We were not disappointed. We all order cheeseburgers and fries and/or okra. The burger was one of the best we’ve ever eaten! The atmosphere was also friendly and professional.

Small, locally owned diner. Delicious, home made southern food. The fried fish and macaroni and cheese are so good. The cakes are legit home made and amazing! Stop by, you won’t regret it.

Great down-home food - macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and peach cobbler are amazing - and friendly staff. They make you feel like you're at home as they serve up their made from scratch daily recipes!

Delicious, Home Cooking! Very friendly. We walked in just before closing (7 pm) and we were welcomed and served with a smile! It's a little out of the way (from I-20) but well worth the trip!

The food is always excellent. I have never dined there and the food was bad. Everyone does their best to make sure that you get what you want. I recommend this restaurant whenever you are in York, Al.

So far. I've had their fried catfish fillet, whole catfish, turkey wing, meatloaf, cornbread dressing, chicken salad, banana pudding, peach cobbler and chef salad and it all was delicious. I would recommend Larkin's Restaurant to my friends and family.

Should be 5 stars on Google. The food is amazing! Driving from Huntsville to Citronelle and looking for food. We Googled and decided to stop by. So glad we did! The folks are so nice and like I said, the food is amazing!

Soul food which tastes like a homemade meal for almost the cost of a home-made meal and a great banana-pudding which is a must try. What more can one ask for? 😋
