Very nice dinner. From starters to desert it was good. Staff was nice. The exterior is nothing to write home about. The interior is better. But the food itself is great.

Northern Michigan is wonderful in so many ways. It has the corner on sun, fun, and beautiful scenery. Our only complaint has always been lack of great food. Bella Vita is a standout and definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

We all had seafood dishes and everyone was happy. Nice atmosphere and all of the art is for sale so it makes it fun to check it out. Service is good, not great, but I think anyone who has spent time in the area knows the challenges these restaurants (and all businesses) face in finding such a huge amount of seasonal help. The staff was trying and it was appreciated but don't expect fine dining service to be totally ironed out.

Was hoping to visit Thanksgiving weekend but understand they will be closed. Best appetizers and Lasagna-looking forward to going back in spring!

One of the best dining experience I have ever had. The food was great and the service was top notch. Parking was a bit of a problem but that was only because it was so busy. The help was so good we never had to wait for anything, but never felt rushed.

Last August 2019, the food was superb. Upping the stars to 5.

Two stars because we got a table! No more than that as it is mediocre italian food at sky high prices.

We have been here several times and it is always a great experience. Had a wonderful meal with appetizer, salad, main course, and dessert. Everything tasted wonderful. Such a great mix of flavors with no salt or extras condiments required. Atmosphere is nice and relaxing with everything clean and looking sharp. Service was outstanding and the staff works well with each other.

I loved that they were helping the school with a fundraiser, the food I had was good but limited due to being for the fundraiser. But since we got a taste, We will definitely go back so I can try other menu items. The service was great too.

Owner Matt was graciously accommodating, and makes great drinks and conversation. It's a popular spot, so call for reservations if you can. The food was great, especially the cheesy garlic app. We had scallops and rack of lamb - both superb.

We enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration at Bella Vita with our friends! The food was delicious, equaled by its presentation and service. Kelly and her husband Matt have worked hard at creating Boyne City’s own Italian style bistro. Our server Katie - did a great job of taking care of us while managing the entire restaurant! She was remarkable. Please visit this little gem next time you’re in BC.

The meal was wonderful. Nice sized walleye filet. Coffee was smooth to cap off a perfect meal. Owner came over for a personal conversation. He said they were staying open through winter and early spring. Go there and support this wonderful restaurant. It is a gem! We would highly recommend it!

Absolutely an outstanding place to eat….walleye was amazing and the lobster shrimp bisque was so good it had to be sinful!!
Laura was our waitress and she is a sweet as can be and very knowledgeable and attentive to your needs ..there were 12 of us .

If you are looking for the best Italian food in this area, Bella Vita won't disappoint. Easily as good of variety and fare as I've had on either coast. If, however, you are wanting an incredible view or ambiance then I'd rate this experience down a star as it's a simple farmhouse turned restaurant with a bar. Quaint and simple but classy with a staff that handles service professionally. And don't forget you must make reservations in advance. Would recommend for parties from 2-8 and anyone looking for local or global wine pairings with an authentic Italian dinner.

Wow! Bela Vita was recommended to us...after passing it by the first time, we pulled in to the parking lot. Walking in the door, we were floored! The decor is crisp and upscale, the menu and food were very well liked by my chef husband. He was pleasantly surprised! The service was top notch too. We will be back next time we visit this area.

This place was AMAZING! It's truly a hidden gem, and it is so nice inside. The service was attentive and they really gave you your space. The food was well portioned and it was very authentic Italian! I will definitely be coming back!

Perfect! Bella Vita catered our wedding at our home. Kelly, Matt, Bill and their team made our event stress free. Our guests raved about the food and service. Many of our guests said the food was better than most restaurants they have dined in. We can’t say enough about how awesome they were in every way!

Went out with friends to Bella Vita for the first time last evening. Atmosphere and food were wonderful. Felt like we were back in Europe, the place was booming. Brian was an excellent host as was his staff!

We went for dinner last week and just a fantastic time. The menu included a wide variety and breadth of options. The red wine was a perfect balance for the meal. The service was perfect. Staff were very attentive but not intrusive. All in all a very pleasurable evening and a definite new favorite.

Great place. Wonderful food and atmosphere. 6 of us dined for dinner with 2 of us being vegans. Owner and chef heard we were coming and specifically went to farmer's market to buy fresh vegetables and planned a perfect vegan meal. Definitely dine here, we will be back! Thanks to Chef John! Really good atmosphere. I would give the service a 5 out of 5 and the food a solid 4.5 out of 5. This was our first time here and we will definitely come back again when we are in the area. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and service you get.
