The surgery staff at pville hospital were very friendly and maria even called to check up on me the next day. Nurse connie was very friendly and the anesthesiologist was very informative on what was going to happen. I was very nervous when I went in but they made me feel comfortable and at ease.

PCH with it's new campus has been able to not only accommodate the current staff upon opening but has dedicated itself to not only expand, but to offer a large host of specialties, treatments and therapies along with expanding the various departments with increased square footage and additional buildings.

The Administration has sincerely worked together with all Staff and Departments to not only expand the physical plant and campus but also engaged in providing a most well defined location offering exceptional services.

Would expect to see very soon the development of a Pediatric Ward, Geriatric and Rehabilitation Facility along with increased Surgical Capabilities for not only inhouse and day surgery, but also specialized surgical services.

Having such a Hospital Campus enables this facility with Focused Attention and Focused Patient Care to expand gradually, perfecting staff education and training.
This is essential and necessary to have the required staff for each department expansion and new practices; thus it is properly staffed with the specific knowledge and abilities to support each specialty.

It has been a great experience to see the Pinckneyville Community Hospital Campus (PCHC) facilities expand with the newer applications and standards necessary for proper care, compassion and abilities to aid each person arriving for care.

With a location to serve neighboring townships and country areas, it has been found to only a need for improved services but also very necessary to meet the needs of the increased population of the surrounding area.

For excellent evaluations and care PCHC is here for us; and even provides a heliport for incoming patients and those requiring transfer swiftly to facilities with various emergent specialties.

PCHC:

The Wellness Center at pinckneyville hospital will help you with physical therapy, speech therapy, and even occupational therapy. They even have a aquatic therapy pool there that you can pay to use. The people at the wellness center are very friendly and professional.

I've been using this hospital since 1981. I left due to a move. Upon my return in 2021 I've had several unpleasant experiences with staff. From phlebotomy to the various folks in imaging, and patient referral and records transfer, and rude mask patrol. One mistake or neglect after another. Please step up your patient care game P'ville Hosp. Too many "events" on hospital grounds. You NEED to be more concerned with CARE not food trucks.

I came into the hospital for my mom and the staff just laughed the whole time. They treated my mom like her needs were too much to ask for. With our door right next to the nurse station.. we could hear the nurses talking about fellow hospital, and certain patients by reference them to “ druggies” I feel as the nurses don’t take HIPPA seriously. I wish my moms needs were listened to and valued! We will not be ever going back!

Been coming to this hospital since I was very young for my asthma loved the nurses and grew close to them but now am treated very poorly by some nurses and doctors I have severe asthma and sometimes have to go to er for extra help sometimes have been intubated but when I come in now they treat me as if I am coming in for other reasons when I'm there just for help to breathe it's very sad how people are these days. And pinckneyville EMTs are just as 😔

I am reviewing the wellness center. Joined just for the Aqua aerobics. Paid 6 months up front. If you are a semi or active person the classes are not worth it. You pay your membership fees then you have to pay for each class also. I am only giving it a 1 star because the instructor was nice. Save your money and go elsewhere.

On Sunday 12/23/18 we took my mother in-law to the ER. We thought she was having a stroke. She was sent home less than two hours from being checked in. We were told there was nothing wrong with her that she was just dehydrated. My mother in-law has a medical history of brain aneurysm and previous stroke. SO this isn't our first time dealing with the symptoms she was showing. We know we have to act fast. When we questioned why they were not contacting SLU and or a neurologist they just said "why would they" well according to the hospital website this hospital is a "Emergent Stroke Ready Hospital" and
"When it comes to treating a stroke, time is crucial. Each second a patient waits to be treated, the brain is denied much needed blood and oxygen. Stroke designation for Pinckneyville Community Hospital allows local access to the care needed the very moment the qualifying patient enters the hospital to the time a life-saving medication is administered within the 60-minute treatment window." The website even went on to say they partnered with SLU which is where my mother in-law has had past treatment at.
I really think this should be removed from their website and the DR. and nurse need re-evaluated because my mother in-law is now currently admitted in the hospital for guess what....a stroke.
So not only did we miss that important 60 min window to get her the medical treatment she needed, we can only ask ourselves the question of "why didn't we just drive to Carbondale in the first place"

Very unprofessional facility, I needed help for severe pain so I could get my MRI scan, they were arguing with other staff members to do there jobs. I have goog insurance, and there is no reason why they couldn't help me. I felt like I was a nobody. Luckily I got through my MRI test after talking three breaks to get scan done. This all happened on May 20, 2019 at 3:15 PM. I got a copy of a CD for image, and today my chiropractor told me I had a herniated disc in my neck. I'm still in severe pain, I'm going to go to St. Louis. People please think about another hospital.
