Forest Inn

We go here for special occasions. Last time was my mom's birthday. The food and salad bar is wonderful. You don't find these kinds of restaurants very often anymore.

Though about 45 miles from our house, we dine here often - it is more than worth the drive. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is attentive, prompt and friendly, salad bar with enough variety and abundance to be a meal in itself, and a bartender who makes a perfect vodka gimlet! The steaks and ribs of our choice have never disappointed us and the overall experience is well above five stars!

We arrived a ½ hour after they opened on a Saturday night and the parking lot was pretty full. The restaurant is handicap accessible once you get in the front door, but you have to be able to open the door without help. When we went in we told them there were 3 of us and we had a reservation and we still had to wait to be seated. The lady at the register was not friendly and definitely not welcoming especially if you didn't have a reservation so I would recommend calling ahead for a reservation.
Our server was right on top of things and did a good job making sure our food came out hot, fresh and just how we ordered it. The food was very good. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, a ½ chicken with baked potato, and a whole rack of ribs also with a baked potato. The meals included a very nice salad bar and a bread basket.
Prices are right in line with all the nicer restaurants in the area.

Service was very attentive. The food was wonderful. I had the Alaskan salmon over rice with dill sauce and asparagus. Others in the group had the ribeye and the bacon wrapped mushroom sauce cover steaks. The stuffed mushrooms did not disappoint, if you are into huge stuffed mushrooms. All in all, left full and satisfied.

We never been here before. We went last night Friday night 9/29/2023. The owner and the staff and his son are very very friendly food from scale 1 bad and 10 phenomenal and this restaurant at the scale of 10. We’re not from the area, but we will be back for sure, and will let all my friends and family know this is the place to go for 50minutes drive but well worth

Celebrating the New Year's Eve, enjoying a nice dinner with my husband. This was our first time here and it was very busy. Our dinner was very good. I had the prime rib and my husband had the Forest Inn Paris steak, both were very good. The German chocolate cake was a bit dry but not too bad.We would go again.

Staff and owner are the best! Great salad bar to accompany all their great dishes! It has the feel of the old time supper club that you don't find as much anymore, so classy.

This place is like going back in time. The food is exceptional, the servers are top notch, and it's an absolutely beautiful environment to have a meal in! You can tell they really care

Always a great meal! Our waitress was amazing. We waited 45 minutes to he seated (NYE), but there was no delay in our meal. Food came out hot and delicious.

This place was highly recommended and I’m glad we took the time to drive there from Clinton. The place was old school with all the crafted woodworking. Only seen a place like this in the movies. The food and staff were great. Full salad bar. Lots to pick from the menu and now I can cross off frog legs from my bucket list. The steaks were made to order. Catfish filled the plate. Diffidently will stop next time we are in town. Thanks for having us.

I've been to Morrison several times a year, but I have never been to Forest Inn until Thanksgiving. What a lovely place. Festive for the holidays, food was delicious, and service was great by all. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and staff made Thanksgiving special.

The food was good. The chicken was crispy and juicy. The prices are high, but you get a lot of food. I have leftovers for days. The server was friendly and on top of refills. They had a lot of specials and she said them all, but they didn't have then listed anywhere I could see, so I quickly forgot what they were after she walked away. I'm not sure how she remembers them all. I was enjoying catching up w my friend and forgot to take pictures. It was nice to go somewhere new.

Best place I went on my vacation. I will be back every year when I am in town. Best steak I've ever had on my life!

A little fancier yet very casual. It was well worth the hour drive and there was plenty of food for the price. A hidden gem in my books, and a must try for people that want to experience a new place to dine and satisfy their taste buds

Food was awesome 26 oz steak only $42 with sides great price cooked perfectly waitress was great! Owner offered free Ice cream but was to full.

Simply love this place. Food excellent, salad bar the best, and owner a wonderful host.

This is the second time I have been there. I really like the place. It's very nice, very clean, and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had fried chicken this time. It was the best fried chicken I have ever had. You should try it. I'll be going back.
