Best local store in Standish Maine . They donates cloths & stuff to local shelters in Standish Maine very very helpful, the inside of store is very very nice clean, they sell Maine stuff coolers ,magnets , postcards. . They have birthdays cards for $1.00 , video games , blue Ray dvd , vhs 50cent , they always run sale $1.00 off woman cloths ,

This place is everything a local place should be! Friendly, welcoming, and invested in the community, with a selection that'll keep you browsing for hours and coming back on a regular basis, since things are always being added, changed around, or updated. The folks who run it are all so nice, always interested in how your day's going, and- if they've got it in stock- eager to help you find something particular you're looking for, and they work hard to keep the store looking clean, well-kept and invitingly decorated. Plus, there's almost always some kind of sale going on!

Be advised that they only accept cash or check (understandable, given how unforgiving credit card processing fees are to small businesses), but they've always been willing to hold on to items if you need to step out and grab cash and with the Hannaford plaza being a stone's-throw away, there's no real inconvenience when it comes to finding an ATM.

All in all, the Butterfly Thrift and Gift is a destination worth visiting time and again. Thanks to them for being such a wonderful addition to Standish!

Love, Love, Love Butterfly. My father-in-law teases me because I cannot go by without stopping. Yes, of course I always come home with something and every time I go in I ask Paula or Robin if they have what I need or give me other ideas. Paula is so crafty, got any questions, she has the answer. It’s not just a thrift store it’s a lot of fun. I am so happy Butterfly came to town and they have become friends of mine.
