GrandStay Hotel & Suites Thief River Falls

Drove large group of kids here. Patti at desk in morning was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. As a motorcoach driver groups plans changed but l came back to see if l could use my room if not cleaned to shower as l didnt have time first thing. Patti accomadated me and l got a shower and am refreshed for the trip home. Thank you Patti for the excellent service. Give her a raise! Few and far around of this type of worker. Cudos to all th staff if like Patti.

We stayed here while visiting family in the area. The room was quite nice. We appreciated being able to let our grandchild use the pool.

Edit Tuesday 9/12/23 … We just spent another 3 months here and it was absolutely amazing.

Melonie, Kathy, Jake and I can’t remember the other lady, I feel bad, but all of them are just so absolutely amazing.

We will definitely miss them.

Unbelievably nice hotel right here … Best hotel in Thief River Falls, Minnesota hands down.

We was here for about 5 months and it was awesome … Marley and Sydney was amazing … Every employee we encountered was just so super nice.

Bed was very comfy … Breakfast every morning … I think my favorite was Biscuits And Gravy, lol.

We will only stay here if we ever come back to Thief River Falls.

The extended stay room are AMAZING. however, don't bring anything that goes in the oven, because there isnt one. At least not in the one we were in.

This hotel is a gem in Northwest, Minnesota. The staff are very nice, the amenities are great and very reasonable for the cost, and the breakfast is the BEST feature. Makes travel for work in this area so nice. The sports bar next door is an added bonus when you don't want to travel far for food.

The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly. We came for a wedding and stayed in the King suite with the kitchenette. It was very well stocked and was nice to have. The suite is quite spacious. There is a door between the bedroom and livingroom making it feel like an actual tiny apartment. Would stay there again.

When I went to Thief River I only had a weeks notice from my company and was told that I was only going to be there 3 weeks. I called every hotel and there wasn't a room to be had in town. I was calling everyday and still nothing. On the way up there I called the Grandstay and Meloni answered the phone and she said that she was hoping I would call that she had a cancelation and can me in for the first couple days and they would do there best to get me another room but I will have to switch rooms a couple times. I get in late and the lady at the front desk was great, she was friendly and polite everything a person wants after driving 8 plus hrs. Get to the room it's a nice room and bigger than expected. I hit the water closet and hit the bed I was out cold the bed was awesome. The next day Meloni caught me when I went back the room for lunch let me know that she had a cancelation on a extened stay room but I'd have to move the following morning to a different room then the next day I'd get the extended stay room. Well coming up on 3 weeks there my boss informs me the I'm going to be staying longerhe told me 2 week. Meloni was able to work it where I didn't have to move rooms then my boss did it again. I ended up there 2 months total Meloni and her staff did whatever they could so I wouldn't have to keep moving rooms that entire time once she got me into the extended stay room. The entire time I was there I didn't have a single problem. Everyone that works is great, always friendly and do whatever they could to help you and in my case I would say above and beyond. The girls in house keeping worked there tails off, the weather would prevent some of them from making it in sometimes. The 1 or 2 that where able to make it busted their butts to get the rooms clean so they didn't have to turn tell anyone sorry we were short staffed and don't have a room for because it didn't get it cleaned. Yeah the breakfast on occations could have been better but them breakfast sandwichs are the best. I,ve been working on the road for over 25 years and this is the best hotel I've stayed at. Not one of the other hotels would have done what Meloni and her staff did for me here. I don't normaly leave this long of reviews but I read some of them on here and all i can say is some people will never be happy no matter what and look for anything to complain about. Loud kids running the halls it's a hotel not a daycare blame the parents not the hotel.
Keep up the great work and thank you again for everything. I'm looking forward to coming back and staying there next time I'm in town.

1 br apartment style room for around 120 per night. Great breakfast hot food and more.we needed privacy and had thousands of dollars of technology with us so we did not want room service. Stayed 4 nights. Extremely quiet. Fire doors and triple locks. Could not have been any better.

Stayed during my q-tine during peak Covid so the breakfast was serving only cold items like pastries, cereals but everything and the coffee was very good.
Comfortable, spacious rooms.
I certainly enjoyed my stay there.

We had the king sz room, with kitchen and our stay was amazing! Olivia and Ingrid were amazing very hard working, very kind, and very helpful i was super impressed! Youre room was super comfy.

I had a wonderful experience. Coffee in lobby ready 24 / 7 and its good coffee with flavor creamers. The site i was in was very up scale. Towels were thick and long. Breakfast was good for dinner room being closed. Staff were friendly. No loud neighbors. It was awesome!

Super nice Lobby and pool! The rooms are very spacious and the ones with a half kitchen are very nice. Would definitely recommend for anyone staying a few days with a bigger family!

Nice hotel! Great staff and the pool and hot tub were a plus! Hot breakfast was nice to have- not the best we've had, but certainly not the worst and GrandStay seems like the best hotel in Thief River Falls.

Had to visit this area from out of town and I did not expect much from this small town coming from Phoenix AZ, but I was rather impressed with this hotel and the cleanliness of the lobby right when I walked in. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. There is an eatery/bar right next door so you can walk to some entertainment easily and is even walking distance to a bowling alley, so location does offer entertainment. The hotel has an indoor pool and spa that was clean and nice to relax in. Most of the staff was attentive to me but I do like hotels where the staff takes effort to get to know their guest and offers up information to what the area has to offer, however when I asked I got everything I wanted to know. Waking up to have a small breakfast provided was nice to start the day. I would stay here again. Very impressed, this is actually a really nice well managed hotel.

Room was impeccable. Everything was freshly stocked. The bedding was clean, the bathroom was spotless, and the shower curtains were fresh. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Highly recommended. The staff were friendly and kind. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is the spot. Easy in, easy out, make the reservation. I travel and stay in multiple hotels throughout SD, by far my best expirience.

Excellent hotel in the area. Overall the rooms were warm on a very cold night and the bed was comfy. The pillows were a bit too thin for me. The water pressure in the shower could have been better as well, but the soap and lotion they leave is better than most other hotels.
