Whitten Woods Trailhead

Great new partially machine built trail, very fun despite the fire road climb to get to the trailhead (reason for the moderate rating). Once on the trail there are a few climbs, but they are fine with switchbacks. Wish it was longer, but hopefully the builders have more on the way.

Small parking area, but great lot with some good short-ish hiking and some good mtb trails. Worth the visit.

Lovely trails through Whitten Woods and a breathtaking view from the top. Great for our kids even!

Nice easy hike with a view from the top of the north summit, didn't do the south so not sure if there is a view. Off road parking for 6+ vehicles right at the trailhead. Its a wide trail that can be service with off-road equipment so it's in good shape.

Nice fairly easy trails nice view from the north trail. Dogs welcome.

Lovely trail run

Terrain is small rocks with packed dirt and leaves . Frequent maps and trails are marked with bright colored blazes.

I ended up smoking a joint at the beginning of the trail and I can’t remember anything about the rest of the trail. I think I hiked it, but I might have just gotten back in the car, I can’t remember.

Nicely marked trails and easy path with few tree roots or rocks. Incline gets your heart going.
