The Pool Shop is the best! You want to know why, because the people are amazing. Nevin runs this Woman Owned local Community Business impeccably. All of the staff are friendly and caring and explain everything 5 times! Her son Michael opens and closes my pool. If something is wrong with the pool during the summer he either comes within 24 hours or he walks me through it on the phone. He comes and goes with a smile as does Nevin. They never, ever up sell me and are always honest about what I need and don’t need.

The staff at this store has been incredible. Being a new pool owner, I have no idea what I'm doing. They've taken the time to explain step by step processes, and have been very, very patient with my questions. They were also very forthright and understanding about prices for repairs, and seemed to genuinely care about the best outcome for the customer. I'll be going back for all my future repairs and chemical needs.. Thanks!

I became a new customer this year and I'm so pleased to find this store. I haven't had great experiences with other stores recently. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The owner is a gem. She got my pool clear in less than a week. Previous years it took 2-3 weeks and hundreds of dollars in chemicals I really didn't need. I spent 50% less this year with better results.

This review could have easily been a 2-3 star review, and after glancing through some of the negative reviews I'll explain why this is a 5 star after providing just a more general review.

Don't let the store front fool you if you are looking for parts or chemicals. After trying a few different stores, nobody had what I needed in terms of specific things to fix annoying issues (like O-rings, tubing etc.). I remember driving by The Pool Shop when they were closed and thinking "oh this place just has floats and towels" but couldn't have been more wrong. What brought me back was them having a very specific robot vacuum I wanted in stock, which brings me to the experience I'll share below. I spent maybe a total of an hour in the store across two visits, and no joke heard at least three different sets of customers thank the owner profusely for solving one problem or another (pool related, not customer service). It was like a live-action infomercial that almost seemed pre-planned (of course, it wasn't). At the end of the day, I don't think anyone can' say the owner isn't extremely knowledgeable or uncaring about what she does.

My specific experience:

I purchased a new, "top of the line" robot pool cleaner from them about a week ago from the writing of this review. The unit was a lemon, not the fault of The Pool Shop, these things happen. I called the store, and was told that there was a process, and to make a long story short I had a conversation which felt like it would have been more appropriate if I'd had the unit a year, not a week. After calling the manufacturer, they were extremely apologetic and suggested I take the unit back to the dealer and in the event they don't have one in stock they provided me a label to mail it in.

Through coordination between the owner and the manufacturer they were able to resolve this for me that day. I learned that had Nevin not made the call and worked with me, I'd be out of luck until the end of June at the earliest as the units are not in stock anywhere.

To address some of the other reviews, people do need to understand that the owner is clearly very passionate about her business and protective. I even understand how that can rub some people the wrong way. To be 100% honest, ya initially I did get the vibe I was somehow annoying her with my problem. However, that could just have been my perception and because I 1) didn't make a scene and 2) let her work through her the process and either tell me "no" or fix it I had a great outcome. If I started whining or getting loud I'm 100% sure she would have told me to kick rocks and not spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to get my problem resolved.

So in short, if you have an issue try not to get upset even if you get some initial pushback. If I had to pick between a place with a passionate owner who knows stuff and has things in stock vs a place that really knows the "I googled it" basics and only a few common items that won't save me an online order that takes days, I'll take the former every time.

I want to thank the owner and her repairman for getting my pool back in working condition . I'll be going to your shop very soon to purchase other things I might need . But just wanted to thank you both for getting my pool up and running . I didnt get his name he came late at night and I get up really early. But my wife received an email from owner that we were all set . I appreciate your help and hope to thank you personally when I get the chance . Update .. i went to the shop and its a nice place bought my pool conditioner there and prices are very good again thank you and this will be my go to place thanks to a knowledgeable owner and friendly young staff . Btw my pool looks great and my family and I are very happy .

Best pool store I’ve been to! The staff is extremely knowledgable and helped answer all of my questions. To top that, the store is so clean & they have all the up to date equipment. The owner takes her time to help you with anything you need. It’s refreshing to go to a store where they take their time to assist you. Highly recommend!!!

I went to the Pool Shop and had the best service you could expect! they had everything I needed and a wide variety for me to choose from. They carry products I have not seen at any other pool shop plus this store was set up with the customer in mind, It was very easy to find what I wanted. Purchased a new liner and salt generator system. Price was highly competitive and the service was outstanding. Nevin was a fantastic help no matter how many questions I threw at her, she always helped me out.

Been going here since I bought my house...

Never had a problem, they're always willing to help a little, and if the person doesn't know the answer, they take the time to find someone who does.

Will continue shopping here... The guy under this review has no idea what he's talking about.
