Tower Pizza

Excellent pizza lots to choose from on menu but somehow we decided we needed to try the wild rice hot dish pizza. It had a gravy sauce, mushrooms, chicken and wild rice. I didn't know I liked wild rice on pizza and normally I don't like chicken on pizza but this was good. The crust is very homemade tasting. We also had some very tasty bread sticks and salads. It's a small and very cozy restaurant. Our server was great. I definitely want to go back try more of their pizzas and also more of their salads, pastas and calzones. Pizza was so delish we ordered a medium pineapple and sauerkraut pizza to go too. The place was busy it's a popular place. It's in the downtown of Staples,MN. The building is old and historic as are other buildings around Tower pizza. Definitely glad we went here.

Just discovered this place and my wife bad I both love it!!! Made from scratch dough! Real cheese and toppings on the pizza overall best pizza experience in the lakes area. We drive 45mins one way just to eat here. Worth every trip!

Not sure if the person we had ever waited on people before or not but he was super quiet, didn't recommend or suggest anything to us and barely said anything at all. Once the lady that appeared to be the owner/manager came in and took over, she came and talked with us about who we were, etc.
The pizza we ordered was called The Powerhouse. It was full of meats, sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, 5 meats as I recall. Delicious! Their sauce is very good too! And a good amount of cheese on it too. Their crust was amazing. I've never had one like it, thin, slightly crispy, yet soft when chewing it. We did finish it all and took the rest home. Just as good on day 2. It was a 70 mile trip, but we really heard good things about Tower Pizza and wanted to try it. We will definitely go back!

Just what we needed this week. We were having a tough heavy week and were looking for a nice meal. The staff were great, deep dish pizza was well balanced, and the dining area was perfect for our group. Thank you and I am sure we will be back.

The spaghetti and meatballs is just like mom used to make. Really needed some spaghetti to-go and, man, did they deliver! It was super tasty, less than $10 and when I first walked in they talked to me like I was someone they’ve known for years— a very warm and welcoming environment. Bringing the food home to my baby niece and sharing with her made a wonderful memory, too. Will be back!

I love Tower Pizza. They were the first restaurant in town we went to when we moved here and it's definitely become one of our favorites. Quality is always top tier and prices are reasonable.

Very, very good pizza and super sweet staff! Unfortunately, my calzone was missing its cheese, but it was still tasty.

This is a must have...The dill pickle pizza is better than the state fair...But the Supreme is still fantastic

I got to say best pizzeria in all of Minnesota possibly all 50 states.( I have had pizza in many different states) No matter where you are from it is well worth the drive. Tower pizza delivers.(fast) prices are decent. service was excellent. authentic tasting (I think flame oven cooked) Pizza satisfies every sensation your palate wants or needs, hungry or not, it is superb; exceeded expectations in an immense amount. I cannot Rave enough

Every-time we go through Staples we have to pick up a pizza from here. It’s our favorite. Great cheese, buttery crust, delicious toppings.

Great stop for pizza. Had the Calzone and Italian sub. Calzone was huge. Worth the stop.

I've only been in here once before since the new owner. I called and order 2 small pizzas last night. Was told 40 mins and when I got there they were SUPER busy! While I waited, I was able to watch a kitchen full of HS kids work like well oiled machines!! They were all moving as fast as possible with no quit in them! The owner was back there with them working side by side just as hard as the kids, treating them like an owner should, calm cool and respectful! One lady was sincerely apologizing to everyone in the pizzaria that was waiting. I ended up waiting quite a bit longer than I was told but after seeing how hard everyone was trying and working, how can you be upset at that! Not to mention I ended up with 2 very hot and delicious pizzas, just what I wanted!
My advice to anyone wanting to eat here and if they say theres going to be a wait, stay and wait!! The food is worth it! While you wait, take a min to watch our future leaders put there heart and souls into their work!! So worth it!!

This pizza is amazing! The deep dish crust was delicious. The cheese was real and we got one of the greatest pulls EVER! The topping selection was great. The waitstaff were very patient with my kiddo (who can be a handful) but the pizza was so good it got him to sit still and eat for 20 minutes! Only criticism is the pizza could've used a bit more sauce.

Great little pizza place. I enjoyed a lunch deal, the personal pan pizza. The meal came with a salad! This place is satisfied my hunger and left me satisfied for under $7, which is an accomplishment in my books.

Delicious! Very kind owners/workers. Pizza was awesome! Their thin crust is more like a regular crust at another place. The deep dish is really thick. Still delicious;)

Fantastic food, it's great to see a long-time local business doing well.

My wife LOVES the dill pickle pizza. The breadsticks are pretty good. Light and fluffy, unlike other places.

I grew up in Nisswa MN. where we had a tower pizza and upon closing I was very bummed . Knowing there was one in staples I just never got around traveling over for dinner. A few months back we did and the first bite was like a time capsule back to my teen years . Everything was great and going back very soon . Well worth the small drive !!

UPDATE: Aug. 2023, crusts were not fully cooked, and salads were decidedly “pre-made” & poor.

(We also recommend alerting guests to the amount of onion in salads.)

I hope management reminds staff that brief eye contact and a quick smile go a long way in making customers feel welcome. Though customer service was not bad.

Also missed the 70’s/80’s music playing while dining in.

Wonderful staff and great food. We got the mini pizza deal with salad and the fresh house made breadsticks and garlic bread. So fresh and tasty I came in from Arizona and couldn’t be happier with my choice for supper
