Laverack Nature Trail at Hawkins Brook

It's conveniently located directly behind the Meredith Village Savings Bank on route 25. There's ample parking spaces. It's a fairly short and very simple trail but it's something that everyone of all ages and ability is able to enjoy. I absolutely love the small area about halfway down the trail that has benches, (mind you there are many "bench breaks" throughout the trail) and little tree stumps that little ones can sit on and there's an enclosed case with books that visitors are welcome to take and I absolutely love that idea. Personally I am going to go through my books and whatever ones I no longer need I will bring with me next time I walk the trail so I can leave for others to enjoy. I encourage you to do the same if you are able to.

We live in Meredith but didn't realize this was here until we saw the sign behind Meredith Village Saving Bank. We walked the trail today and it was very enjoyable. Its level, accessible and appropriate for everybody who can walk 0.6 miles each way. Great addition to Meredith!

Easy, mostly flat walking trail. Dog friendly

Beautiful short path.

Nice short trail through nature. It is well maintained and an easy walk. Even though it was short, I saw some good wildlife including a red squirrel! The first part of the trail is a wooden boardwalk before transitioning to a dirt trail. It’s also close to the Meridith Sculpture walk so you can hit two birds with one stone on this visit.

Closed in winter. It looks nice, but it was closed when we visited during the winter. Makes sense, looks like people trespass either way, but we ate at the benches at entrance and they were nice. Excited to visit in summer.

Very nice, short well maintained walk, a hidden gem!
