Best Western Plus York Hotel & Conference Center

After the mess we had down the street at the Victorian Inn, we were met with a warm smile, by Janet I think her name was. Great customer service made us feel welcome and also let us know. The bar was open till midnight. Great location with Applebees right on site room was spacious, clean and peaceful.
We were on a business trip that became a new stopping spot or maybe weekend get away. Thanks for the great customer service.

Accomodating to locals
After an unfortunate bad experience with our reservation being cancelled (without notice) - management reached out to us promptly to remedy the situation & make it right. We love this hotel & are pleased to be returning in the future. Great staff, food & rooms. Thank you to all for everything you do!

We had a great experience here. Jenna went out of her way to help us, amazing customer service. We will stay again, when in York, because the hotel was great but mainly to see Jenna again. Jenna, thanks for the help and the laughs!

You pay a bit more, but everything a weary traveler needs is welcoming & rite here!Staff is friendly & competent, rooms are clean & all common area cleanliness patrolled & maintained throughout the day!! Washer & dryer are great & $4 for a large load of winter outer wear to get super clean & toasty dry.

The front desk associate, Jenna, was amazing. She was kind and friendly and very attentive. Will stay here again if we travel this way.

Fabulous stay at this hotel! Over the top breakfast set up. King-size bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Everything was very clean and everyone was very friendly and helpful. One of our best stays out of 10 on our vacation.

This was a short distance from the interstate. The hotel was clean and the employees were very friendly. You do not have to go far to find a meal as there is an Applebee's in the the hotel. The breakfast look great. Will stay again if traveling this way.

The rooms were nice and clean. All the employees were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was very good ,nice variety of food choices. It sits right off the freeway so very easy to get to.

This place is clean and conveniently located. Great place to spend the night on a road trip. The onsite restaurant was convenient too after a long drive.

Don't judge this hotel by the exterior... we arrived for our stay on 10/26/22, and were rather perplexed at how the place looked. Window screens flitting in the breeze, the vents were mostly smashed out, and there were even chunks missing out of concrete. Upon entering the hotel and seeing the check-in counter, we became aware of ongoing work to repair things after 2.5-3.5 inch hail in June. The interior was not damaged, and the work is not going on at night, so it will not interfere with your stay.

The hotel inside was excellent -- lobby is spacious and welcoming. Regular community amenities like pool and fitness room were well maintained and equally nice. (We did not see the convention area, but assume that is great too.) Applebee's is in the building as well -- see my separate review for details there... All staff we encountered were very friendly. Also in the lobby is coffee (reg and decaf) and hot water with hot cocoa and various types of tea (I assume it is there 24 hrs a day, as it was there around 11 p.m. and at 6 a.m. when I was going through the lobby.)

Our room was very clean. I am the type of person that brings my own cleaning products, and my white cleaning cloth was spotless -- even after cleaning sneaky spots like the backside of the faucet, the decorative back rim on the vanity counter, and other similar little places. As someone that is called a "germaphobe" by friends and family, I tip my hat the person that cleaned this room.

On the night we stayed, the place was at capacity. (People were being turned away as we were checking in.) As we walked through the hallway and were in our room, we never heard any noise from the rooms around us. Very nice!

Breakfast was very good. Lots of options, very well stocked, and I am guessing the hot food changes daily -- when you check in, go down the hallway between Applebee's and the coffee cart, and you can see the menu on a marker board for the next day. Our morning had sausage, fried eggs, and biscuits and gravy. Sausage was cooked well -- not just microwaved, but had been browned in a pan. I am a very picky person about eggs (scientist that took too many chemistry classes with sulfur fumes), and these were deemed 'good' by me -- which sets the bar high. I did not have the biscuits and gravy, but others in my party did. The biscuits were fluffy and "better than the average hotel breakfast biscuit" and the gravy was well seasoned. A big hit for us is that there were chocolate chips and sprinkles available, so that made the pancakes and syrup for the kids even better!

Next time I am back in the area, we will definitely be staying here! Thank you for the great hospitality! 😁

Stopped here for the night during our cross country road trip in a 20' U-Haul truck + auto transport. Was easy to get to from the highway and had decent parking (it did get pretty full by the end of the day though). Inside the staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and they have an Applebees. Good place to stop for the night.

As a Simi truck driver park is important and they had it, bed were soft and got a great night rest. Breakfast was good and it's good to eat and then get on the road again.
It was cheaper than motel 6 for two people.
They have CDL discount and other discounts.

My overall stay was great. I liked that there was an Applebee's in the Hotel. Staff was great and the breakfast was very good.

While traveling across country for business we needed an emergency service on our vehicle so we booked at this location for 3 days. The rooms are spacious and clean with a microwave and fridge Its nice that this hotel offers breakfast daily, they are pet friendly have ample parking with a clean parking lot and grassy area to enjoy. There is a pool we didn't swim sure it was nice. We enjoyed that there was a neighborhood Applebee's restaurant located inside the hotel as well. I wish all of the hotels were this accommodating. All the staff was very friendly but I want to take the time to mention both CHEROKEE and WESLEY who helped us when our plan to check out didn't go as expected because the wrong part came in for our truck they were so accommodating and pleasant to get us checked back in and were nice to work with despite a stressful day for us.Thank you

We have stayed here on many occasions over the years. Although it has not always been perfect, the staff have always done as much as they can to make our stay worth it. When we have had something break down or go wrong, the staff made sure it was taken care of and this is all we could ask for. Breakfast is always a nice addition. We would recommend this place to anyone.

Check in was very quick and easy. The room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is advertised as being served from 6 am until 9:30 am .

I got to the breakfast bar at 9:10am and the person responsible for stocking and breaking down was removing the waffle mix syrups, breading for toasting, there were no pastries, no milk, no eggs except for some slop mixed with water. Breakfast sausages were also left in a heavy mixture of water and grease. Only dry cereal and four apples were left.

Hint: Best Western when you advertise breakfast then perhaps you should have breakfast available until the ending time as advertised. Just a thought.

This could have been avoided by not having an employee being bent on finishing up so she could relax. I spoke to her asking for eggs, she heard me Then she turned a way with her serving cart full of the stuff she had just cleared and didn't even acknowledge my question. Thanks disgruntled employee for nothing.

We have stayed here many times and always enjoyed our stays !! They have gone above and beyond to make us happy with Best Western Plus in York Ne .!! The management/owners are the BEST ! The front desk staff, the breakfast staff, everyone !!! We love it here and cannot wait to go again !! Our son and grandson come visit us and swim with us !!
