Izumi

Overall it was a great experience. Little chilly inside on cold days, but overall a nice atmosphere. Food was not the best, but good. We had a great time.

I was able to drop by Izumi on a Sunday afternoon after having a craving for sushi. I originally wanted some traditional pieces of nigiri but after looking at the menu, the sushi boat was the way to go. I swapped out two of the rolls for a small additional charge but couldn’t have been happier with the meal. We were greeted and sat at the sushi bar. Received some ice cold Sapporo beer almost immediately after placing an order and got to watch our boat be crafted in front of the bar which was done in minutes. We also got a soup and salad which was great on a cold day. The sushi itself was incredibly fresh and had great flavor. We even got a small portion of their seafood ceviche which was heavenly. After the meal, I felt satisfied and lucky to try this new sushi spot. Give Izumi a try if you can. They even had hibachi which had a few tables taken with a birthday party. Looking forward to my next visit!

The food was on point. Ordered cooked and raw sushi rolls, hibachi dinner and drinks. Everything came out perfect. Service was great. Highly recommend.

Hibachi is always worth watching the chef's work their magic. Very skilled cooks and super engaging with their audience! Everything was cooked to perfection and was fantastic. The staff was very catering and checked up on us often.

I went to Izumi for the first time this past weekend for lunch. The steak and shrimp hibachi was incredibly flavorful. The gyoza and rock shrimp appetizers were the best I've ever had at a japanese restaurant. The Rising Sun mixed drink was delicious. The portion sizes were perfect. The prices were very fair. The waitress was super kind and attentive. Izumi is definitely now in my restaurant Rolodex.

A favorite for years...Christmas, farther/mother's day, now my birthday. The food and drinks always is above and beyond expectations as is the show. They treat us like family. Truly a great experience. I'LL BE BACK

I've been a regular at izumi for sometime now, they always take such good care of my party and I no matter the time we arrive, I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here! The chef is always fun and cheerful and the drinks pack a punch!

This place is awesome! They have a wide variety of gluten free options and the staff is incredibly friendly. We went to the hibachi table and all of the gluten free food was made in the back so there was no cross contamination. The sushi is great and taste very fresh. I can’t stress enough how fun this place was. I would highly recommend this place if you want to have fun while eating.

Best tasting Hibachi around! Highly recommended! Since my favorite Osho closed in Poughkeepsie this has been our go to hibachi spot! Others don’t compare!

The staff is very friendly and the food is flavorful. This is my favorite hibachi place in the Hudson valley. Just went tonight for dinner and the fried rice and noodles are delicious.

I usually get hibachi take out, they have the best noodles. It's always delicious.

What can I say ..it's hibachi. If you enjoy big flames singeing your eyebrows, getting squirt in the eye with "sake" and having the table side chef throw vegetables at your face then this is the place for you. Rice, noodles and veggies were tasty, meat was cooked to perfection. You won't leave hungry. Good times for all.

Had a great time the food and service was amazing and will make you laugh. This restaurant has great potential for your family and or friend's to enjoy.

Chef Tony is amazing there. He will make all your time and money well worth it. Make sure to ask for him to serve your hibachi show.

Food was very good, staff very friendly and helpful. If you want a relaxing dinner this isn't the place as they get you in and out in less than an hour, if you decide to have the hibachi.

The best Sushi and Rolls in town very personal, to all guests that come to eat, they treat you like your friends coming over for dinner. Love them, they made my boys love to come here, Thank You. First on list for Sushi and Habachi.
