New Hope

I feel I must say something with all the negative comments here. New Hope took me off the Streets more than once. I dedicate me still being alive due to this place, even if I was here more than once over a span of a few years. Some people's situations are worse or could be better than others, but that doesnt mean you have to give a place a 1 star. It was a State Facility I believe, or at least one that takes people from Jail and takes NJ Insurance & Scholarships sometimes so, you can't really expect 5 Star Hotel treatment. Everybody when I was there cared, I don't know if people have left or not but any time I was there if you acted like you wanted it, they showed compassion. As for food, again I believe it's the same people who go in to the County and HELP cook meals (it's was when I was there), you can't really expect much when it's a smaller Facility and there's FAR WORSE programs in New Jersey. If you were just using drugs and your life is unmanageable and most likely were living on the street and you don't see this place being being better than that and that's all you're focused on, keep coming back. -Addict in Recovery with 5 Years (when I couldn't get 5 minutes for my life.)

No rehab is a dream. The staff here was nice and helpful. They fill your day with therapeutic groups, if you take it serious. I had a great counselor as well. Like most things, this place is what you make of it. They did what they could for people who truly wanted to change.

New Hope saved my life and I'm very grateful for that. If you really want to change your life New Hope is a good place the staff there really helped me I've seen a lot of bad reviews but if you really want to get clean this is the place to be. I went here a few time (2020/2021)
My last time 05/21 I took the program seriously and with the Grace of God I've been Sober since than. I left NH-IBHC & went to their affiliate "Half Way house *Philip House) overall I had a Good experience with everything. Remember it's what you choose to take out of it and make out of it. I wish whomever is researching this facility the best of luck with their recovery. Keep the faith and remember 1 day at a time . God Loves you.

A Greatful recovering addict

My experiences at New Hope have always been amazing. All the staff here is very HELPFUL and CARING and DEDICATED to helping every client. They loved me when I couldn't love myself and that was BIG thing for me because when I was using, I hated myself. The structure and stability here was amazing too because I had none before. I've always felt safe here and knew that nothing bad was going to happen and even if a problem did happen, they made it right, or helped me to realize that even when bad things happened I could get through it without using. The program here is amazing, I was kept busy here with all the different groups. And every group, I felt I learned so much from. Whatever energy I put into my recovery here, I felt like I was getting so much more from. THANK YOU New Hope for saving my life, for showing me real geuine love and showing me I AM WORTH IT. I don't have to use. You are ALL AMAZING. And I know when my son is old enough to understand what I've been through, he will be beyond grateful for you too because you saved his mother's life and his as well. The only way I know how to thank you guys for all that you have done for me, is to do the one thing you've taught me and that's to and keep working my program and to hopefully help save another person's life, like you guys did for me. That's what this program is about, one addict helping another.

When you really want it like the air you breath, you can recover. Take a chance on yourself, look listen and learn. You will discover the opportunities before you.
I learned this right here at NHBH. With after cate and Will persistence, I have 2+ yrs clean.

I have been there twice and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place they are kind they actually care a bout u not just as a junkie/alcoholic. Etc and the treatment they provide is the real deal as long as u as a person wants to get clean and stay clean and take it seriously. The food isn’t bad the facility is clean and they are very very kind and courteous to us as patients and yes they absolutely do provide sleeps meds plus anything else u need to keep u comfortable but that does not mean u will be getting Xanax or and other type of narcotic but I rate it 5 stars and this place helped me more then words can describe!!!!

I love new hope it change my life for the better and the staff is so friendly and nice and willing to give a helping hand at a drop of a dime, I achieve so much with the help of New Hope I wish every state had a New Hope Program there they save lives for real.

It was hard to get used to at first, because it’s very structured and strict, but I think this place was the best thing that could have happened to me at this juncture in life. The staff genuinely cares. My counselor was awesome. The food is good too.

New Hope was a great decision for me ... my first rehab and will keep it my last. The staff there was great and they were all very helpful ... a lot of them being in recovery themselves let's you relate to them much more, they know what you're going through. New Hope saved my life ...

New Hope saved my life. I was an alcoholic for 10 years. This May, I will be celebrating 10 years without alcohol. You have to want to get clean. If you were forced in, or doing it for someone else ,you will have a hard time. Unfortunately, the only TA I remember by name was Mr. Billups. Please thank him for me and tell him he saved a life, If he's still there. Thanks NH!

My name is Jade and I was at New Hope several times and every time was a great experience!! My counselor was good every time I attended treatment there and the rest of the staff were great as well. Thank you New Hope for everything you've done for me!

When my fiance and i were dropping our 17 son off there was this girl who was returning from a furlough with her grandmom the grandmom turned to me and said expect miracles. Well thats exactly what i got. Say what you want about this place yes there are things that could be worked on... Communication being one of them however i got my miracle not only is my son alive and well he is thriving and finally sees what i have always seen that he is an amazing individual destined for great things.

Don't know if it's solely because I was at my bottom or I just plain got lucky. Did 30 day treatment and I'm still clean for 3 years. It had its quirks, but all in all they helped me get to where I am today. I'm very grateful!!

Check in on December 4th 2021 it was quite an experience did 21 days of hard labor the food wasn’t that great the beds weren’t that comfortable but the counseling and meetings were a great help… o and don’t forget the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches …8 months and still clean and sober

I think this rehab was the ɓest one so far yet .

All I’m hearing is people complain about there own problems it’s about how the staffing is and how the food is always show respect treat others the way u want to be treated
