Nonna's Cucina

Delicious food and cocktail. The reason for 4 star on the service is because when I called around 8:30 to confirm they were still serving dinner, it rang for almost 5 minutes for someone to pick up the phone and when we got there, there was no host to seat us. I knew the kitchen was closing soon, so we seated ourselves in the bar area and the bartender came to take our order promptly.

Everything was very good. The waiter that took care of us made the dinner more enjoyable. He came over several times to see if we needed refills on our drinks etc. The salads we ordered from the family style dinner menu came out fresh and crunchy like salads should. Pastas and the main entrees was very flavorful and at the right temperature. Creme brulee was so good.

Many thanks to the hostess Cassandra for arranging my daughter’s 15th birthday party! The food was outstanding and the service provided by Bill and Melissa was exceptional! Bill and Melissa were so attentive to our group of 13 teenage girls and table of 4 adults. We appreciated that they served the ice cream cake that we brought too! Thank you again to the Nonna’s team for an awesome event!

Melissa and Billy did an amazing job during our daughters graduation party. They made everything so easy on me. Can't wait to go back! All my guests raved about the food and staff! Thank you!

Our experience at Nonna's Cucina was an absolute blast from start to finish! The restaurant itself is gorgeous! Opting for the family-style dining was the best decision we made—it allowed us to sample a bit of everything, and let me tell you, the food did not disappoint!

The Chicken Lemone and eggplant rollatini were standout dishes that left me craving more. Each bite was bursting with flavor.

However, there were a couple of hiccups during our visit. One of us requested a nonalcoholic beer but was mistakenly given a regular beer instead. Additionally, despite informing one of the waiters about my tree nut allergy, there was a miscommunication regarding the presence of nuts in one of the dishes. Fortunately, this was caught in time by another member of our party, but it was a concerning oversight that could have had serious consequences.

In conclusion, while Nonna's Cucina offers an incredible dining experience with delicious food and a charming ambiance, there is room for improvement in terms of communication and allergy awareness. Nonetheless, I would still recommend it for those craving authentic Italian cuisine!

We had a baby shower at Nonnas and everything was superb. The manager Nick and Cassandra were sooo helpful and accommodating with all of our requests and there were many LOL 😂!! We selected both rooms in the party room which was VERY roomy for 50 guests. The bartender was excellent and servers were friendly. We had such a blast overall and can’t wait to go back again for the delicious food!

I had my bridal shower at Nonna’s this past Saturday and couldn’t be more thankful to the amazing staff for their kindness and superb service. Best Italian food I’ve had in a VERY long time!!!! This place is perfect for private parties. Special shoutout to Kris & Bill!

It's my first visit here. Relatively easy to get to from both north bound and southbound Rt 9. Lots of parking. Great food; excellent service. There's a spacious balcony and a nice room for parties. I'm going to recommend my office have a team meeting here! Will definitely come back.

Food is incredible. I’ve been here twice and ordered a small catering order and everything was amazing. We ordered the truffle Mac and cheese as one option for our catering order to bring to a small gathering for my parent’s anniversary and my family still talks about the dish. I love the family style option for parties 4 or more. You get large portions and everyone gets to try different things.

Our family was going to have a repast for my mother in law. We weren't sure where to have it. So we went to Nonna's and spoke to Joe the owner. We were not sure of the exact amount of people but Joe gave us option 1 if it was 20 or less, option 2 if 20-30 people. Joe could not have been any more friendly or helpful. He was so nice. He then gave us salad, appetizer and main course suggestions. He told us Melissa, Bill and Greg would be our servers. They were absolutely awesome and their attention to detail was top notch. The meatball sliders were a huge hit and our family raved about how great all the food was. My wife and I have been back since, and have even ordered take out for a family function. Friends that came up from Florida said the next time they come to visit NJ, their first place to go for dinner is Nonna's Cucina in Englishtown. Again, many thanks to Joe, Melissa, Bill and Greg.

I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu! Great food & even better people! Joe & Denise, thank you so much for having us. The Jumbo scallops were AMAZING & I am usually left underwhelmed when ordering but not Nonna's! I forgot to ask if you can buy the Sunday Sauce to go!

Hands down…best restaurant in the area! Nonnas never disappoints!! The food and drinks are amazing, but the staff is what brings me back! Every server is kind, courteous, attentive, friendly. and simply amazing! The bartenders make the best drinks, and the kitchen makes the best food. Together, that’s a recipe that no one can match! The vibe in that place is second to none!

THE place for parties. We recently had a small affair and were thrilled with everything. The family style option was delicious and plentiful; Italian food at its best! The entire staff was amazing, they were more than accommodating to our guests with special dietary needs and were extremely hard working.

Manager was great to work with for our event planning. Servers were very accommodating and helped all guests with food restrictions. Server brought out an allergy safe appetizer out early for my 2yo, and brought out fresh food when meal plates were accidentally taken away before finishing. Great service!

We celebrated my 60th Birthday at Nonna’s with 30 of my closest friends and family! The food was excellent and the service was fantastic! Everyone of my guest had nothing but good things to say! The new location is so pretty and gives that Tuscany vibe. Nonna’s is no doubt our go to place! Thank you for making my birthday dinner so perfect!

Had another great Saturday night with friends at Nonna’s. It is a pleasure to share a delicious meal in their wonderful atmosphere. And thanks as always to our server Bill - he’s never wrong with his recommendations and treats us like welcomed guests every time! Be back soon.

We took my mom here for her birthday dinner and it was the best decision! The food was phenomenal and our waiters, Bill and Melissa, were friendly, fun, and attentive. I had a salmon dish and it was the best salmon I’ve had in a very long time! My husband had the mussels & clams over fettuccini and we both loved his dish as well. Everything we ordered was excellent and I can’t wait to come back again (and hopefully sit in Bill and Melissa’s section).

We had my Father’s 70th surprise party here today, and the food was great, but we almost didn’t notice because the service was unbelievable, in the best possible way.

Cassandra was our coordinator, and for weeks leading up to the day she was so patient and kind with all of our questions, needs, and made sure everything was as perfect upon arrival.

If you ever dine at Nonna’s, Bill was our server and we’ve had such great experiences with him even in the past (request him if you can— he’s so good at what he does and makes you feel just like family) along with another gentleman, unfortunately I didn’t catch his name— but they were both so personable, attentive, and made the party go seamlessly. Everyone raved about the food and service. Book your events here, eat here. You won’t be disappointed.

My fiancé and I brought both of our parents here to meet for the first time and Bill and Melissa were fantastic! Great service, great atmosphere, great table to sit at. Both servers were attentive, had great personalities, and truly made this dining experience fantastic. It was all of our first time coming here and we would come back in an instant thanks to the service from these two, the food was outrageous, and the atmosphere felt so home-y!
