Poughkeepsie Medical Group

I hadn't seen general doctor very often because my past general doctor doesn't have personalized treatment on me and I didn't think it was useful to have regular check-ups. I changed this thought since I started visiting Poughkeepsie Medical Group. I felt back pain about 3 years ago. Dr Mazumdar took care of my concerns seriously. She recommended me to do a bone density study. I was diagonalized osteoporosis and treated accordingly. I started to check my body regular in this location and lots of other problems, such as cholesterol, sleep disorder and misc issues were being treated well as well. Nurses and front desk are friendly as well.

For the past five years I’ve been under the care of Dr. Mazumdar and my experience has been consistently marked by really professionalism and genuine kindness from both her and her team. I’ve always received prompt attention and care whenever needed.

I have been going to Poughkeepsie Medical Group for many years. Dr Sumita Mazumdar is one of the most professional Dr's I have ever been to, and she is very caring toward her patients. My mother transfered to Poughkeepsie Medical a few years ago, and has been there ever since also. Dr Mazumdar has went above and beyond for me in many instances, and I couldn't be grateful enough for her kindness and professionalism. Dr Mandeep is also one of the most wonderful people to be seen by, and also cares very much for her patients. Poughkeepsie Medical Group has always treated me well, and I will continue to go there for my primary Dr appointments.

Dr Mazumdar and team is absolutely amazing. They provide quick and easy services. Definitely would recommend this clinic to everyone

I have been a patient Dr. Mazumdar for many years.. She is my primary care physician. They are very flexible in scheduling appointments and I am able to obtain one quickly. Dr. Mazumdar is conservative in treatment, but very thorough.in diagnosis. When my wife and I needed medical clearances, they were faxed quickly. Her referrals to specialists have been excellent.

I do wish they wouldn’t make u wait an hour or more, most times. I think they should figure their schedule out better, it’s a bit much, no reason for it.

I absolutely adore Dr Mazumdar and have been coming to see her for years! She’s very kind, thoughtful and understanding! Everything you should look for in a provider!

Dr. Gentile cares about his patients. He listens to your needs and comes up with a plan of action to defeat or control your illness. He is a wonderful person and Doctor who I highly recommend!

I wasn't going to go here because of all the bad reviews. The staff were all very nice as was Vaibhav the NP.

My experience is great.

I love going to Dr. Mazumdar's office. The staff at the front desk are always very helpful and patient. I watch them sometimes they are overwhelmed especially during the flu season where they try to accommodate everyone that requested to be seen ,they are flexible with appointments and always nice to you. Dr. Mazumdar and her team of doctors and Nurse Practitioner and others takes time to talk to you. I am so thankful to them .

I am so thankful for Dr. Mazumdar and her team at Poughkeepsie Medical group for all they have done for my Family. They took time to follow up with any medical issues and always willing to accommodate us and very flexible with appointments . The staff and Nurse Practitioner Mandeep are always very detail oriented and took time to explain every step of the way. Thank You all again !!

Waiting time too long. Doctor does not spend adequate time during my visits, does not explain much in details.
Staff is very unfriendly. I called for refill of my medicine, spoke with the front desk person. She gave me hard time even though I told her to speak to my doctor and send refill prescription to CVS. She said I am not due for refill, when in fact I was due for refill. Being frustrated, I told her "I will speak to my doctor during next office visit about how you did not help me". She hung up on me!
So, I don't recommend this doctor's office for your healthcare needs.

I don't think I have ever had a "good" experience at Poughkeepsie medical. Even when I was young and still going to pediatrics. However, upstairs is much worse, which is unfortunate because I love all of the nurses and physician assistants. But the main Doctors I could really do without. It's taken them over two weeks to fill out all the necessary things for my college physical. I had an allergic reaction to my PPD test which I had informed them this has happened before and to look back into my files. They refused. I went to get blood work done and it took over a week for me to get the results, which were negative like I assumed they would be. The best part is as I'm waiting to be called in to see Dr. Mazumdar, they're trying to give me another physical... In which I had to explain I have already done this, I just want my damn results. Dr. Mazumdar finally gets to me and she acts like she's never met me before.... This was too much drama and zero organization for a simple school physical. I will never go there again.
