What a jewel of a place! Very busy but they ran it like the pros. We were traveling and looking for down home cooking...thank you chef! Our waitress was sweet and funny, thank you too. That clam chowder was perfect! Not overloaded with potatoes like some places do. Wish you were closer to my home in Virginia.

We are new to Central New York, and The Cottage Inn is one of the very few "local" places with great selections, great food & the best service. Make sure you make reservations or you may have a wait, this is the local hot spot and is packed full on Friday & Saturday nights.

We have tried many of the specials, and the seafood platter & prime rib are our favorites. There's also a great selection of adult beverages with a great "pub-like" atmosphere at the bar, and more than enough selections of dessert for that after dinner treat.

You won't go wrong choosing The Cottage Inn for your next quiet dinner for two, or fill a table for 12, this place can accommodate all size groups.

But call ahead, or you may wait for an open table... we recommend waiting if needed, you won't be disappointed.

The best prime rib around, homemade soups of the day, great staff, tortellinis are delicious, chicken parm is large enough for 2 meals, a must stop if in the area.
Tin can nachos and wings are fabulous.

This restaurant is upstate New York's best kept secret. I'm a retired chef and I always get amazed at this place.
Took my nephew out for his birthday. Our party of five was very satisfied. Everyone was really enjoying this meal. Try the prime rib. Yummy. Peace

This is my favorite place to go for dinner, the food is excellent and the portions are massive, you will not leave hungry!😍

The prime rib is amazing I order the king cut its huge and when they have it the new England clam chowder is great too

As usual, very good food and service. The staff are excellent. Our party of four had two orders of the prime rib, one order of the NY strip steak, and one broiled seafood platter. All were noted to be very good. The soup, a pork and Sauerkraut dish, was absolutely delicious. Enjoy!

We loved the Cottage Inn. It reminds us of a place in NH that we had so many great memories. It has a bar, great service and a wide variety on the menu of delicious food. It's hard to find a better place to relax and enjoy a wonderful meal.

Love this place. My husband & I have been coming here since the late 1990s. The thing I miss is the soup & salad bar.

Best prime rib around and great service

Was traveling out of town for work in this area. Really wanted a good meal. Prime rib was excellent….. tho if to go, order a bit cooler temp as the wrapping keeps it cooking. That said it was juicy and the grilled onions and mushrooms were tops! Enjoyed every bite. Baked potato soup - so good. Owner (I assume), noticed me earlier in the day checking out the hours. Ha. Hours are different than you may find on line. Local place. Local patrons. Amazing hospitality to visitors. I still travel to this area. Me and my little bus will be back. Thank you.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. The space was decked out with beautiful Christmas decorations! I would go back for the feeling of holiday cheer alone, but luckily the food was also quite good! We all ordered Friday night specials. Highly recommend!

Great small town venue offering great food at good prices.

Good local bar scene, but a great dining area attached in spearate dining room.

Get there EARLY for the prime rib as they do sell out weekly.

What a great place. How I didn't get there long ago.

The food is great and the portions are awesome. We had boiled seafood platter, cheese burger and mild chicken wings. I was very please with my orders. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Cottage Inn is always a pleasure for a meal. I've been going for decades, and every meal is well prepared, and served by staff that has become like family. The menu is somewhat limited because of the Covid restrictions, but I would make several recommendations:. The prime rib is delicious, it is one of the few places where I can order the small and still take some home. The chicken parm and chicken french are old favorites. The pork chops were my father's first choice, and they were both tasty and enormous.

A friendly, warm, and traditional evening out.

Came here on a date and had a wonderful time. Although there were other tables around us, it felt private. The bartender was gracious and seated us and took out drink orders. The server was very nice as well. We did not wait long for our food to arrive and it was exceptional! I hope to go back again soon!
