Funday's, The Root Beer Stand

I've been coming here since I was a kid! The root beer is like no other root beer! I love pulling in and seeing all the vehicles there and this place staying busy; because I'm glad it's still around for my little boys to enjoy. I take me jeep here with the top off; so fun! Food is greasy and good 👍🏼 Just what you want at a place like this. I always get a gallon to go for later!! The staff is always nice. There's always neat cars, trucks, jeeps that come here too. Even vintage ones that would let's time stand still for a bit. I Highly recommend coming here for a special treat with your kiddos!

IT'S a nice little place. The service was very good and fast. You pull in and they come to your car and take your order. A Reuben sounded good today. My wife got a cream chicken sandwich.we shared a root beer,that was/is in a league of its own.

Loved the food. Not sure if they have changed their policy on the floats but still as good as it used to be. Fries leave something to not be desired. Love this place. Will always come back. These ladies and gentlemen that work here have 100% best customer service I've ever seen. Even when those rude customers show up. I'll always leave a big tip for the persons waiting on me. We have always had a great experience at Fundays including our visit today. They have some of the best homemade root beer around and have been a staple of the Dover/New Philadelphia area for years. Highly recommend the coney dogs and a fresh root beer.

Reminds me of the old carhop back in my home town. Burgers are deliciously greasey("57 chevy" recommended), the seasoned waffle fries were a perfect match and a rootbeer float was a good way to wash it all down. I ended up going 2 days in a row while in town 🙃

All the different types of food are great and worth a try. The steak sandwich and criss cut fries are my favorite. The Root Beer though is the absolute diamond here though. Any root beer connoisseur will be in heaven with it. Thick, rich, smooth and everything your taste buds desire. Enjoy!

A throwback to the times of yesterday! I've been going to Funday's since I was a kid. The food is amazing and they daily specials are always a good deal and the house made root beer is amazing!! Don't forget to get a gallon of the root beer to take home.

Great root beer stand that will allow anyone young or old to take a moment to stop and relax and enjoy a simpler time. The root beer and root beer floats are amazing, cream of chicken sandwiches, breaded mushrooms and waffle cut fries make for a fantastic meal to share or eat on your own. The car side service is fantastic but if you don't have a car don't worry you can still sit at the bar. Great symbol of summertime in Tuscarawas county!

Our waitress was amazing! We ordered the BLT, hotdogs, mushrooms, pickles, French fries, and mozzarella sticks and everything was prepared perfectly! We love having this gem close to home!

A great place to take the kids on a hot day, for a Rootbeer float. Family owned with great good food and friendly service. There Rootbeer is one for the books, with a smooth delightful flavor. You can even order a gallon to go.

Had the 57 chevy burger, like a big mac, only better. The fries were crispy and delicious. The wife had a foot long Coney dog which was the best greek dog that I can remember having. She also had wing dings and loved them. The root beer float was fantastic. Got a gallon of root beer to go. Very happy. Awesome experience. A+++

THE BEST ROOT BEER EVER. Pardon my enthusiasm, but it had to be said upfront. I had no expectations driving in, but, boy, was I amazed. What sparked my attention were old fashioned A&W glass mugs on the counter. Turns out, this place used to be an A&W but turned independent in 1999 and has been rocking since. To get back to the point: the draft root beer is the most amazing I have ever had, and I have tasted A LOT of them! It has the unparalleled core flavor profile of draft A&W root beer with all the key extra characteristics - long-lasting creamy foam, intense sweetness, vanilla taste and that "special something" which I can't put my finger on, but they added a whole lot of it! Truly amazing. This root beer was a like a drug to me. Buy it by the gallon and spread the word. I only wish I actually lived anywhere close to New Philadelphia, OH.

My brother and I are staying in New Philadelphia, OH as we're visiting the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH. Great old time hamburger joint. Crispy fries, delicious root beer floats. Our server "Tiffany"was friendly and attentive.

Very good and friendly service. Food was cooked well, tasted great. I loved the root beer. Plus they provided car service. I would definitely do here again.

The cream chicken sandwiches are really good and you hafta have a root beer when you're there, you will want a refill!!
Just a cool drive up joint ..they bring ur order to your car but it is seasonal closes sometime in October.

We love stopping a few times during the season since we live up north about 80 miles or so, otherwise we would be there every day! Love the creamy tasting root beer and coneys!

All around great experience! Funday's is one of my favorite places. I am a little sad that the root beer is not served in the glass mugs anymore.

Who doesn't like a drive in. And this one is a good one! Try a local favorite: Grilled Trail Bologna with Swiss cheese! The Root Beer milkshake is the best melted root beer float ever!
