A really cool place to learn about the Town of Lava Hot Springs. You are invited in with a smile, they have a scavenger hunt you can do, meant for all ages. Sorry no hints to your visit.

This cute little museum kept our four kids entertained for a good hour on a scavenger hunt through the exhibits. It was a great way to learn more about Lava Hot Springs' history and make memories on a quick weekend getaway. The staff was very kind as well. We are glad we popped in!

Loved this place!! The staff were very friendly and there wasn’t a lot of people when we went so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Also loved the scavenger hunt

This is an adorable little museum with so much local history packed into it. Do the scavenger hunt when they offer it to you: even as a grown up you get a prize at the end. There were old yearbooks from the surrounding communities dating all the way back to the 1930s, a cool section about old pharmacy and medical equipment, stories and folklore, a room with personal stories and tales from First Nations peoples in the area. It was really cool and there was a lot more packets into it than I had expected. Cost is two dollars to help with maintaining and expanding exhibits. Also the curator says to aways write names and dates on the back of your photos!

THIS WAS AWESOME! So interesting and informative. They change the exhibits every so often so just because you have seen it before, don't think you have seen it all. It now costs 2 dollars per person to get in but it's worth it. Don't go to Lava Hot Springs without seeing this Museum. Its wonderful!
