My family and I spent the weekend at Mary’s Place and it was a great experience overall! The campsite was very spacious and has so much shade and grass; It also has power hookups, water and a picnic table. Kevin and Marie were great hosts checking up on us helping us with our fire pit and picking up our garbage bags with their golf cart. They sell ice and have clean bathroom/showers! My kids and I will definitely be coming back!

This campground is very well kept and the camp hosts were great. Lots of grass and plenty of shade. It sits right on the river but it's fenced so it's safe for little kids. The only issue was the portable latrines. They were full & out of TP. Luckily, they have a permanent, full-service bathroom that was clean but it was a 5 min walk from our campsite.

Just spent the weekend at Mary’s Place campground and LOVED it! We’ll definitely be back! It was very clean, the camp hosts were Awesome, and it’s within walking distance to all the fun attractions!! Our only complaint was that we didn’t get to stay longer! 😆

This is an amazing campground!!! Beautiful scenery, super friendly and attentive hosts, and a short walk to town. This was our first time camping in Lava. Usually we stay in hotels. We had a blast. Please disregard any other negative posts about this campground. I promise, this is the best!! We will definitely be going back later this summer and summers to come.

Just got back from our 3rd annual trip to Mary's place. The host Kevin and wife was great. Kevin was very helpful to all campers. Coming by often during the day picking up our trash bags to take to dumpsters for us. Even delivered ice to our site. This was our best year visiting. Great hosts.

1st time at Mary's Place. We loved it. The big shade trees and grass made it very nice. We didn't even have to set up or canopy because of the trees.
Kevin the camp host was geat and always checking on everyone. I would stay here again next time.

We started at the expensive koa down below and it wasn’t nice at all. We happened to walk by Mary’s campground and couldn’t believe how nice it was. We moved our rv up there for 2 nights. The spots are spacious and well maintained grass with lots of trees. The camp host Kevin was awesome! He checked in with us to make sure we were happy, picked up our garbage bags and even brought us ice! He was so friendly we hope to see him again and will definitely stay here again.

We just concluded our 2nd Memorial Day weekend at Mary’s. Once again, an absolutely fabulous experience. Our camp hosts David and Kevin and their spouses were phenomenal. Some of the best we have ever seen. They even came multiple times a day for trash collection. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go again next year.

Would highly recommend! Perfect location, close to town but away from the traffic. Every campsite has grass and trees. The entire area is shaded with a bit of sun in the evening. There is train noise - but that is true of the entire city of Lava Hot Springs. The camp hosts this year (2022) are delightful and could not have been more accommodating. If you are planning to do the hot springs or float the river you can walk. If you are planning to go to the pool it is a longer walk or a short drive.

This place is truly a gem in the dark, we came upon it after unable to reserve a nearby campground in time, a mistake I don't regret in the slightest. Mary's campground offers so much it's hard to fit everything in a single review but boy how it was a pleasant surprise. The entire campground nestled between the mature tree foliage that provided plenty of shade, there's a river literally running right through the middle of the campground create a surreal, almost magical sense of calmness and serenity. We spends a few days there and the experience "at home" was so good, we didn't even go visit the hotspring like we typically do, just camping, cooking, soaking in the sun and dipping in the water and having a blast. Bob and his associate were particularly gracious as the hosts and they would occasionally come and check up on us, brought us wood and pick up trash with their golf cart. after a full day in the sun we had access to the closeby bathroom to shower and took care of everybody needs. I truly can not find a single negative opinion to express about this camp site and will definitely recommend for anybody looking for a true camping getaway experience in this part of Idaho.

It's a busy place and I would say the nicest campground in town. The mature trees are a big plus for adding shade on a hot summer day. The river is close and it's very scenic. Plus it's not right in town but it's a short and easy walk if you want to get dinner or a snowcone. Be back before dark, they lock the gates at night.

This campground is perfect! Big shady trees, grass and white noise of the waterfall just up the river. The camp hosts were wonderful. Cannot recommend enough. We can't wait to go back!

Loved our stay! We stayed for 3 nights and they were booked in all the tent spots but had a TV pull through site avail. It was the end one as you pull in so it was spacious and love that it's mostly grass! Bathrooms are decent, love that it has showers and flushies. Could use another shower curtain or two on each shower stall for privacy. Also nice prices for the wood and ice for being right at camp! Friendly camp host!

Amazing place with alot of shade. Great and helpful staff. Gets packed on the weekend. Nice and quiet during the week. We had a great stay here for our first ever in the new trailer. Short walk to the river and path to the hot spring on the river. Due to the reviews on here about the trains, we all had a chuckle every time that a train came through. Thanks again for the wonderful stay. We'll definitely be back.

My husband and I loved Mary's place . It was our first time using our trailer. David was super helpful, he was up front when we arrived and he helped us park the trailer and get it level. Kiera was amazing with our reservation , she even saved us a spot by the river as I had requested. Everything was so clean and the property was beautiful, and green.
We took our 2 dogs and we were so happy that there was even a dog park.
The property managers just never stopped working to make our trip amazing. We will definetly be going back for another vacation !
