West Greenwich Sand Dunes

Gorgeous area out in the middle of the woods. Plenty of space to explore and walk around. Great to take your dog for a walk or run. It's not fenced in and a couple acres big. Perfect for photographers looking for a scenic area for photos. Saw some spots were people had been camping there or having a bonfire. It was pretty quite with not many people. Definitely recommend this place for people looking for something fun and different to do.

A great place to bring your dog, especially on the week days. Plenty of open space for them to be off leash and run around. If you go during the week days, it is usually very quiet. I will often go and not see anyone else around. Weekends can get busy.

First time here and loved it. Nice open area to either just walk around, come for photos and able to fly drones. I came here with my wife took a few photos and video of her and there was some guys on dirt bikes in which I got some nice footage of them going up and down the dunes on the bikes. I do have to say at moments it felt a bit unsafe due to the bikes just be blasting up the dunes and some people walking about definitely opening the chances of getting hit. So I suggest always being on a bit of high alert and keep an eye and ear open for the bikes.

Pretty cool! Great place to walk and explore. Apparently people hunt here so you need to be careful during certain seasons.

Lots of walking, small pond too that is clean, no bathroom, tons of high sand dunes to play on!

Greatly appreciate having this place to ride. We need to do better on the trash people. I take trash home with me every time that's not mine. Just bring a string bag with plastic trash bag inside. Still great place and very clean. Treating this sun burn from yesterday with a smile on my face.

Beautiful sand dunes. Got some great drone footage. I’m assuming please dirt bike here since I saw a lot of tracks.

To prospective visitors please do you part to keep this area clean. Take your trash out with you!!!

This was a great place. I have visited this place many of times. Last time I went I met this guy that told me some history about how these dunes came to be. I guess way back in the day it was a giant parking lot and then the company made it into a hiking place. We like to go hiking,sledding and love to run out remote control cars there. I suggest to bring some biodegradable toilet paper with you since you might need to find a tree with all that walking. Bring something to drink as well!! Great place to visit.

Great place to walk your dog, watch birds and meet with friends. During hunting season you need to wear orange and be aware of other wildlife around the area.

Used to love taking my dogs in here for a swim, or just a nice place for a walk by yourself. It's peaceful & huge, so even if there are other people, you may never see them!

Legit desert in the m8dst of civilization!!
Great spot to bring kids to mountain bike,, 4 wheel or just burn energy running up & down the dunes. Perfect for the pups also.

We love this place, quiet, nice walk n to watch the sunset while sitting on a sand dune hill.😊👍🏽
