Grove Motel

I give this a 5 star rating for what it is. An older motel in the middle of nowhere. The first thing i noticed was that The floors where new and very clean. The tubs were freshly chalked so no old mildew. The bedding and towels were clean and it appears to be freshly painted. I found the beds to be comfortable and slept pretty well. It’s a very quiet location. Don’t expect to book online. You just need to call and tell them what time you will be there and they will hold the room. Pricing is good too. I will stay here again when I visit my college student.

Stormy weather caused our drive to take much longer than anticipated. We arrived at midnight, 11:55PM, but the office was open and our room was ready. They had turned on the AC so we could sleep comfortably. Room was small, but immaculate and it smelled CLEAN, BUT NOT OF CHEMICALS.
We have stayed there two times and have been pleased with the comfort of the mattresses both times. Nothing beats a great night's sleep in a great bed, in a cool room that smells clean. We will stay here again.

I spent Monday night, 09 April at the Grove Motel. This was my second time staying there; both experiences were great. I called to see if there was a room at 10 P.M. when I arrived in Cuthbert. The owner was very welcoming. When I arrived there about a year ago, the owner's wife sensed my unease and insisted that I give the room a look over to see if it met with my approval. The rooms are VERY neat and clean. On this April 2018 visit, the owner told me that they are updating the rooms little by little. I was very pleased when I stayed there a year ago, but the room I stayed in this time was even better. Some of the amenities were definitely more updated. I stayed in a couple of Holiday Inn Expresses on this trip that did not pass my "clean test" as well as the Grove Motel did. The shower was great, and the vintage green tile in the bathroom was shining. Edison is my hometown, and I am grateful to have this well-kept, inexpensive option nearby.

The people that work here are great at what they do and do care for their customers. The rooms are clean and nice. Been here for 4 months and have not had a problem at all. I would recommend staying here.

I travel near this motel every week and spend over $100 in Albany to sleep one night in a hotel. Never again! This place is like a gem. The room was clean and I felt safe enough to sleep here. I’m very picky when It comes to my personal space but this room was not too small and it is very comfortable for the price. Most of all the lady in the office was so nice and welcoming. I only stayed one night but she made the experience so very pleasant that I’ll be staying there again this weekend (if there is availability).

Stayed here two nights and had a lovely experience! They are currently working on updates to the rooms, but our room was so comfy and VERY clean!! Nice tv’s, WiFi, mini fridge and microwave. Front desk service was always so polite and accommodating. Definitely recommend staying here!

Stopped in on my way back to Michigan. It was after midnight. Both rooms were cozy, clean and bigger than the last place for way less $. The front desk is the reason for five stars. She seemed authentically excited to see us. I would recommend this little jewel to anyone looking for a quiet place to rest.

We stayed at grove motel for a week or so while my husband was working in the area. The owners are very friendly and constantly working to keep their place clean. My kids loved being able to play outside of our room. Also, some of our “neighbors” cooked out using the grills while we were there and that’s a fantastic idea if you’re staying there for more than a night or two.
If we end up back in Cuthbert, I will be excited to stay there again!

Clean, friendly owners. It is an older hotel, however, you can tell the owners regularly paint and update as needed. I am at the beginning of my one month stay and I am impressed.

Extremely satisfied with this place. Cheap and they still make you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel. I walked in the room and instantly smelled cleaner. The room was organized to the tee, and the service is extremely friendly.

To be a small mom and pop style motel I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance on the cleanliness of the rooms, the staff is very personable and willing to go out of their way to accommodate special request , would definitely stay here again

Motel owners are very kind people. They gave us a ride to the closet car rental branch and we really appreciate their help. As for the room, it was a fair price.

Extra clean, one of those "diamond in the rough." My brother stayed there for a few months when working and was treated like family. Excellent

If you’re looking for fancy, this isn’t it- what it IS is clean, safe, comfortable, did I mention clean, and run by a lovely family that are warm and welcoming, and eager to make your stay great. I will stay there anytime I’m in the area.
