What a beautiful place to take your family and spend some quality time in nature. There are numerous campgrounds, most with restrooms. Some of the campgrounds have running water and hot showers. However, I like the dry camping. You can easily find a place by yourself and may not see another person for several days. Get out there. Life is short.

The little spot I stayed at was absolutely amazing, stunningly beautiful, and so quiet. I could hear the coyotes all over the meadow. The stars were just off the charts beautiful with no artificial light to mess it up. I highly recommend the little free spots. Great for peace and relaxation.

Awesome camping experience. Plenty of room. Big rig friendly as well. On site vault toilets and showers. Dry camping at it's best. Wide spots.

Awesome place. Fishing spots were busy. Apparently a lot of catches during the week. Lots of beautiful hiking trails. Saw a small herd of Deer playing with each other. The biggest wishing willows I've ever seen!

Make no mistake about these are beautiful lakes, and scenery. But for 20 bucks I would not go back, the road to Christmas lake was nothing less the a nitemare to say the least. The road was washed out, deep holes and water running across, very ruff road. I have some rattles and sqeakes, I didn't have when I started. Its a shame I couldn't camp there's. Nice to do once needs road work big time.

Definitely a place to go during the spring or summer, we went during the winter which in itself is beautiful with wild horses and many elk but it comes with the downside that not a lot of roads are snow plowed except the essential ones. You can enter most parts of the park but not many of the camp sites or trails will have plowed vehicle access.

We had a group camp with about 80 people. The forest was beautiful. Weather was cool and much nicer than metro Phoenix area. Will be going again next year. We rented portable bathrooms and that worked out well.

There is No Butts about it. Keep all Butts in your car including your Cigarette Butts to protect this beautiful forest of Arizona. The last picture is what could happen if you throw your butts out. It's so beautiful up here. Amazing Scenery. It's really breath taking.

Went at the end of May, and it got pretty cold at night, so bring extra blankets when camping. The roads here can get really bumpy so make sure you have a spare tire, just in case. But overall great place to go camping and really beautiful.

We went hiking on the East Baldy Trail, #95. Nice, easy and pleasant trail. You have full-looking blue spruce trees to gaze at. Aspens are gorgeous in the fall as they display their golden colors. A pretty meadow as you are walk plus a creek. A great way to get out of the city and breathe in the nature in the Mt. Baldy wilderness.

We go camping a few times a year in this area. It was a little hotter this time in the heat of the day but if you can find a nice shaded spot to sit and just relax it wasn't bad. The evening's and nights were the best. You can see wild horses running around most mornings in some of the camp areas.

So much fun! Took my kids to Christopher Creek for a fun day adventure and were really disappointed that we couldn't get anywhere to just go for an explore without paying. Decided to just go all the way up to the top of the Rim because I knew there were places you could pull off here. My kids were blown away by the sight! Drove a little ways down the Old Rim Road to the camping spots and found an empty spot away from others and had a great time exploring and building a fort with sticks and limbs that has been cut down for controlled burn. My kids say it was the best day ever once we got to this location!

Always beautiful and peaceful. We love the White Mountains! Our first family trip to Big Lake and although the fish weren't bitting the weather and scenery were fabulous!

Lots of snow, we went Jan 1st. I'd suggest finding a spot where you can actually get out and play with the snow since a cop did show up and told us we weren't allowed there. I also loved how my maternity pictures in the snow came out here

This is my favorite place to go camping. You can see wild horses, cows, skunks, squirrels, and deer. Probably not all of them every time but I have seen at least one of each on various trips. This is at or near Black Canyon Lake. The wild horses are typically at the lake or very close to it. The skunk was a bit of a surprise to say the least. The little guy was sneaking up to scope out our food. The cows are domesticated, they are tagged or marked that they belong to some farmer. The squirrels are sporadic. Always check the campfire status before you build one. Sometimes it is allowed but other times it is not. Many parts of this area are still regrowing from previous fire damage. As Smokey the Bear always says, "only you can prevent forest fires." Also, remember if you pack it in, pack it out. Don't trash our national forest. One more thing, if you have off road vehicles and toys don't go speeding around especially late at night. Remember people are camping and trying to sleep. Kids and sometimes family pets are wondering around. Also, it sure would hurt you and a cow should you crash right into one.

Love nature! Bear Canyon Lake is a little hard to get to. There are no designated steps. Take your time! It is sure lovely and peaceful on weekdays especially! Weekends are a madhouse.

Beautiful forest with many different plants and animals. Mountains and pines in some places. Some places are desolate so bring food and way more water than needed. You never know when someone else may need help. This forest covers so much land it is difficult to sum it up. I enjoy turning off on some of the forest roads and just sight seeing. These roads are dirt and rock but many are easy enough for a car if you take it slowly.

I love going to certain places and mediating and I get to enjoy nature. Excellent dispersed camping so many spots to camp not giving away some of my favorite spots but here is a few photos.
OH FYI... I am a Dog Trainer, their are laws regarding dogs off leash. They must be under VOICE COMMAND. Forest Ranger will stop to see if this is true, so keep that in mind if you allow your dog off leash. If your dog does not follow voice commands you will be fined..

Beautiful pine forests and bright green riparian areas along streams. Cool summertime temps and striking views along the Mogollon Rim.
