Lava Hillside Suites

We were really happy with our experience at the hillside suites and will definitely return. The room we stayed in was a little dusty, but ultimately clean, comfortable and had GREAT amenities. We loved the full-sized fridge and were thrilled to discover thoughtful details like the coffee, coffee pot, dishware, dish soap, etc. We also appreciated the incredibly comfy beds, excessive amount of pillows and plenty of fluffy towels. The TV was easy to connect to and the ceiling fans were perfect for those of you that prefer to sleep with the fan on. Despite being a high-traffic area to the bar, the rooms were incredibly and surprisingly quiet and private. The location was ideal and somewhat central for main street activities and offered AMAZING VIEWS off of the balcony for late night hangs or morning coffee. We had no issues with parking and liked every staff member we encountered. Looking forward to staying again!

This place is amazing if you don’t mind no-contact, which we didn’t. It was our first experience at Lava and they had it all ready when we arrived so we walked right into our room, no fuss. Plenty of space. They had dishes and a hot plate so we went right out and grabbed some eggs and bacon for the morning. We LOVED the beds. All of us independently commented on how comfortable they were. Great views, fun outdoor space—some shared some mostly private (if it was warmer we would have enjoyed the patios, they even had corn hole in our room for us if we wanted), and lots of options for add ons like a BBQ, traeger, fire pit, etc.
Some reviewers mentioned bar noises. We were in the closest room to the bar and didn’t hear a thing—but also it was winter… 🤷🏻‍♀

Potential downsides:
-We were up 3 flights of stairs. Not a biggie for us but could be for others—the higher the letter of your room, the more flights.
-It was a little weird that the “kitchen” sink was also the one for the bathroom.
-If you have an issue and need “contact” the first option was the bartender in the bar above the suites. 😂.

Really fun bar that’s worth the hike up four flights of stairs for the great view. They had one of my favorite beers, and tasty fries that were real potatoes (not frozen processed mush). The people there were super friendly, too. We loved the experience.

Loved our stay here! The beds are soft and comfy, and the kitchen accessories (hot plate, fridge, dishes, etc) made it easy to bring our own food instead of doing takeout all the time. Everything was very clean and appealing--love the lights/remodeling/shower as well. Quiet rooms, very peaceful. We had fun with the giant jenga! Very easy to walk about Lava Hot Springs from here, nice location across from the pools. Thank you! Will be back for sure.

Stayed in a lot of places at Lava Hot springs and this one has to be my favorite with the best views always easy access with my puppy to hit the trails and natural hot springs. Also to mention the 60 second walk to the State Hot Springs. Fire place is a great addition to include the decent price. Would definitely advise trying this place out.

Great place to stay! We were very pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms. Fantastic view from the hilltop bar. Customer service was outstanding! Didn't realize when we booked, veteran owned and built, what a bonus!!

The view is beautiful!! My family and I really enjoyed this place!! Its queit and clean. Even with a bar on top of the biulding you cant hear anything in your room.the place is new and has character. Highly recommend staying here! I do wish it had a stove, but they have a portable burner to use. I would recommend bringing something like a camp stove to cook on.

Very clean and lots of room! Perfect for staying here. Love the out door grill and sitting area. Very close to everything! Definitely would and will come back! Ps if you have a dog best place to come!

What an awesome patriotic atmosphere!!! We had a drink at the top of the Lava Hillside and the view was awesome! You can watch the train come by or people watch as the crowds make their way to the river for tubing. The staff was super friendly and helpful as the owner was mingling with the customers asking how things were. We will be back again for sure!!

Affordable, modern, and clean. Based on other options in Lava if you’re not staying at the Hillside Suites, you have a 70% chance of being disappointed with the other choices. Book at Hillside and you will be 100% satisfied, unless you’re a Karen.

The concrete walls mean wonderful silence as you sleep. Only dads snoring can keep you awake.

Had a great experience staying here. My friends and I do Lava Hot Springs about once per year and it was our first time staying here. Well kept place and the owner was awesome to work with. Next time hopefully the Bar is finished!

We had an amazing stay!! We loved the beds and how quiet it was! We have never stayed in such a nice place in lava. Please dont pass this up. The beds were so comfortable we over slept! Thank you for an amazing room. The owner was awesome.!!

I went to lava hot springs for a girls trip and ended up finding this fantastic hotel. Not only was the interior of the suite very modern but from my room, I had a lovely view of the quaint little town below. Plus, due to the hotel's location, a short walk will get you to all of the fun attractions and yummy restaurant that Lava has to offer and this is coming from someone who hates walking. My friends and I will definitely be booking this place again!!!

Clean room, nice beds, fun games (jumbo jenga and Corn hole), well stocked on towels and such, beautiful view, close access to the Hot Springs, LEDs lined the handrails giving the whole complex a fun vibe especially after dark. I was here for 2 nights for a bachelor party and I can't think of anywhere else I would have rather stayed. Also, because many of our neighbors were there for their own parties (bachelorette), we ended up having a blast with them. Very enjoyable experience, and I'm now thinking of making it a yearly trip!

What a treasure! This suite was so clean & functional! We really appreciated the full size fridge & the accomodation suited all our needs with accomodations for 6 & all the cooking 🍳 essentials to boot. I loved the attention to detail, kids games & lovely fireplace. We will definitely be back!

Just had a wonderful experience at Lava Hillside Suites. The room was spotless and the view fantastic. The hot pools are only a two minute walk. Roof Top Bar is very friendly with a great atmosphere.

This place is Amazing.. up to date!!! Electric fire place. Amazing shower pressure and heat. Beds 5 ⭐. And the view is best to none. And you can walk yourself to the best Hot pools in the world. Be here again and again
