Nice and attentive waitress, food portions were humongous and delicious, food arrived hot and quickly. Food prices are reasonable. Atmosphere was relaxing and the decor was very pretty. But No Bud Lite Beer.

A+ LOVE this spot! This family run establishment in the heart of downtown Alachua is filled with such a real sense of community and nostalgia! My family is there any chance we get. Reasonably priced with excellent steaks, a variety of options on the menu, and friendly staff. 👌 I cannot say enough good things about Conestogas!!!!

Really unique country style restaurant! They give you a large playing card instead of a pager and call out “6 of diamonds” instead of your name- makes it fun. Very warm and polite staff, reasonable prices, good food. Definitely not the healthiest, but this is a good place to go to for some country or Southern style food, I had the chopped steak with gravy, and it was really tasty. Additionally, we had a tuxedo bomb for dessert, which was very good! The restaurant does have a ice cream shop and candy store attached to it as well which is worth checking out. Definitely looking forward to trying their steaks next time!

Wonderful place, been going since I was a kid but hadn't been back in over a decade and the food is still crazy delicious. The price might seem high but it's definitely worth it. We had leftovers and no room for dessert lol. I'm very particular about my fried pickles but these hit the mark, not too much breading but enough that it doesn't just fall off. And the Cesar dressing is phenomenal! Not to mention the steak hoagie I had was fantastic and I tried part of her burger which was juicy and full of flavor! Definitely a must go if you're in the area!

Awesome place to stop and get food. We have tried a few things and it's all great. Cooks really know what they are doing and obviously like their job. Staff is great. Ice cream on your way out is an awesome addition to a great meal. 10/10

We have eaten there twice! Very good each time! We have had a variety of dishes. Steak, chicken, shrimp, burgers, and sides. The service has been marvelous each time. We held our sons wedding rehearsal dinner there. They were very accommodating and we simply ordered off the menu. Very reasonably priced! We will be back

Massive portions and very fair prices. Service is quick and friendly. The lobster bisque was excellent- it all was! The to-go drinks are the largest ever LOL

Down home cooking good for the belly. Staff friendly. Old school elementary. Beef was tasty liver and onions like mom's used to fix. Good place to try sometime in your life. One will get their money worth.

I had a very good chicken sandwich with fries ($15). The chicken was perfect. Full of flavor. The steak fries were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Recommended.

My wife went there last week with friends and told me it was a must try. Walked in there very homie local feeling .love the decor as I love Florida history. But now on to the food... Let me just say that we have a new burger champion!! Conestoga's Burger is now my number one pick!! Our waitress was amazing I never had to ask once to have my drink refilled she came by numerous times asking how we like the food cuz she knew it was my first time we will be going back very very soon

This place is great! The people are SOOO nice, and the portions are MASSIVE (see the picture for the Stogie burger cut in half)! It tastes like a good ole small town burger - just normal. I would recommend but I wouldn’t come back

My steak had a membrane in it and they promptly replaced it. Very pleased with every visit. Lots of food for a reasonable price.

If you’re looking for huge portions, good prices, amazing service, and spectacular food, THIS is the place for you. There’s a reason this down-home eatery has been a staple in Alachua for over 30-years. I came here on the recommendation of a friend, and drove 30-minutes. I’ll admit, I was skeptical, but this place DELIVERED! Dixie (who I later found out has been a waitress here for over 20-years) was amazing. Our drinks were never empty, and she was constantly attentive, despite a busy space! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing, down home, American diner food. It’s in my top-10, anywhere.

I suggest the beef tips! OMG the hand scooped ice cream is to die for! Oh and the milk shakes? The best EVER! The drive here is definitely worth doing just for the shakes!

A hidden Gem!! I really like this place. Very casual with excellent food. A good variety on the menu. The portions are huge! Try this place and you will love it too
