Beatty Museum & Historical Society

This is really a hidden gem! We found the place by chance,went in, and enjoyed a great museum showing the history of the area. The exhibits are presented with love and informative signs. It helped to get an idea of the spirit of the wild west with all the dreams, adventures,failures and success. It explains some of the technology of the time and was as a great preparation before visiting the Ghost town Rhyolite. I rarely saw a museum created and maintained with so much care. It's free but you can donate which we did gladly. We came with our kids age 12 and 14, and both enjoyed it a lot.

Nice little museum in Beatty NV. It is free to visit and has several rooms as well as an outdoor area. If you are passing through Beatty it is worth a stop. You can see everything in half an hour but can spent a couple hours reading all the information on the items on display.

Great place to stop to learn of the history of Beatty and surrounding historical points of interest. Quant and rustic. Chili was delicious and towns folk were very friendly.

Cute place to stop especially with kids. They have Charlie Utter’s leather jacket which is worth 10 stars alone.

Wow this museum is full of memorabilia, pictures and old equipment ! Amazing for such a tiny little town . We spent close to an hour inside.They really have done a great job.

Lots of cool history of the town and mines. Very nice and welcoming. Must see the rocks and jewelry for sale

From the outside I'm hopeful. I missed it today, but I'm sure I'll be visiting some time soon

Interesting small town museum in Beatty Nevada. Many antiques, photos and some paintings. There is antique furniture, farm and household implements as well as blacksmithing tools and more. Also there is antique clothing on mannequins. A few rooms are filled with an assortment of items including Native American crafts and fossils. Outside are a 1921 and 1939 tractors and a vintage fire truck. Some items from the ghost town of Rhyolite are on display.

The desk clerk was so kind and courteous towards us. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. The museum had a large variety of pieces from the area and a beautiful art gallery in the back!

Awesome place, so much to see. The museum staff has out done themselves collecting and displaying artifacts. Everyone there was knowledgeable and friendly. We will be stopping in again!
