We recently stayed in room 443 at Home Hotel Lava Hot Springs, and our experience was fantastic! We parked on main Street because our room didn't have a reserved parking spot like some of the rooms not connected to the main building. That wasn't a problem.
The room was upstairs in the main hotel, it was clean and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere for our stay. The room has a queen bed, mini fridge and mineral springs soaking tub.
The hotel lobby includes a microwave, free coffee and tea. The place was quiet we couldn't hear the other guests. It was nice.
One of the highlights was the convenient location, just a few minute walk from the hot springs. This made our trip even more enjoyable, as we could easily access this relaxing amenity. The hotel is across the street from a popular restaurant that we didn't go to.
The overall service and hospitality of the hotel staff were commendable, adding to the positive experience. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant and convenient stay.

Best hotel in the city by far. The soaking tubs are massive and can easily fit two people. We stayed in room 441 and loved it. Gives off cozy vibes. The staff is great and super helpful. Walking 2 minutes to the hot springs is also an amazing perk! Will stay here again.

We stayed at two different hotels in Lava HS at the beginning and end of a road trip in October. I’d give both of them 5 stars. Maybe 5.5 for this one- Room 148 inside the main building. Super comfortable king bed, mini fridge and microwave, table & chairs. Didn’t wind up using the huge spa tub because the public hot pools were so close by, but it was inviting and clean. Good coffee; sweet staff.

We stayed in the studio. The room was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. Comfy bed, mid sized fridge, microwave, etc. Service at the front desk was excellent. Location is great...right next to the public hot springs.

We have stayed in an economy room and now a King with a soaker tub. The king is definitely roomier but if you plan to not spend a lot of time in your room the economy room is just as great. The Home hotel offers more parking options than most of the hotels around. It is right in the heart of town and therefore you can easily walk anywhere you need/want to go. Definitely recommend 👌🏻

Very clean we stayed in room 144 right on main Street. It reminded me of , a 1950s hotel. Room keys and everything. Very tiny but nice if you don't plan on staying in and just want the basics. The thing I absolutely loved was the personal jetted hot tubs. They have the hot mineral water and the cold water is City water. You can fit two people in these comfortably. The staff was awesome.

Great little spot for a short stay, and really well located. We are a family of 4, and stayed her en route from Boise to Jackson Hole. We had a room with 2 doubles, a large bath and little fridge - it wasn't overly modern but it was everything we needed. Parking was easy and it was very quiet at night. Restaurants are seconds away, as are the hot springs. Easy check in and no issues at all.

Peaceful and serene! Closest to the springs. Not fancy yet I will take peaceful over fancy anytime traveling. The staff at the desk was so sweet.
I will be coming back!

Retro hotel, beautifully maintained and remodeled. The bathtubs are huge! Everything is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I've stayed here several times, it's my favorite place in Lava. Post Covid update: Still good. I stayed in an economy room. Clean, well appointed but small and looking out the back of the hotel. Staff not as engaged or friendly as before. I might stay here again but in a room in the main building.

My wife and I had time for a quick getaway to Lava. The Home Hotel's room we stayed in was freshly remodeled and super clean. The room was spacious, and nicely decorated. It was within walking distance of several restaurants and activities. The staff was very friendly, too. Thanks again, Home Hotel!!

Such a fun experience. The tub in the room was huuuuge big plus that the water is connected to the hot springs, so you have your own little hot spring in your room. The room was also a lot bigger and spacious than the website lead on. The hotel crew were incredibly kind and welcoming. Will be back for sure.

Excellent hotel! We wanted to get out of SLC for a night and this fit the bill perfectly. Only about 2 hours away our plan was to relax and soak our troubles away before the new year. We LOVED this hotel! For starters this hotel was historic in it's own right. We were ecstatic over the old timey feel. I adored the old vending machine in the lobby. Our room was spacious and clean only being a short walk to the hot pools. We soaked before bed and once in the morning before leaving. (We unfortunately did not get a room with it's own soak but will definitely next time!) Overall our stay was awesome, the staff was great, and the price was unreal! My wife and I kept saying when the secret gets out more the prices of everything in that town will be through the roof! Can't wait to come back. Already planning our summer trip to go tubing!

We stayed here 14 years ago for our honeymoon and for our anniversary we were able to go back to the same room and it was so great! Their tubs fit 2 adults side by side and fill with the hot spring water. The hot springs are maybe a 90 second walk away. You don’t have to drive. They have free hot cocoa, coffee and tea in the lobby.

The front desk receptionist on my day was Tracy and she went above and beyond for us and did it just to be kind, not even for tips. She helped us get some food for dinner when my husband became ill, she brought us a bottle opener to open our sparkling cider for our anniversary, and just was so kind and was there for us via text if we needed anything!!

It did get a little chilly in our room and I found out the next morning they have small heaters you can borrow, we just didn’t know about so if you go in the winter, ask for one if you run cold!

It’s a small quaint hotel. No elevator for the upstairs rooms but it’s not a bad walk. It’s close to some restaurants but we didn’t explore much. I can’t wait to visit again! Everyone we spoke to was so kind and it was nice to snag hot cocoa on the way to the hot pools or when we went outside!

I added a few photos. The one outdoor photo showing the black bridge is the walk to the lava hot springs. They’re right past that bridge. The photo facing the other way is the Main Street. My silly husband posed in the tub to show you how big it really is. We shared pics of our room (448 upstairs in the main building). The lobby and small snacks to buy and mineral baths you can purchase to elevate your soak in the tub in your room. And a photo of the hotel from the outside.

Well worth the visit and well priced rooms.

For the money this place was great and basically next to the hot springs. Would definitely go again.
5 stars because the rooms, service and location matched very well with the price.

Awesome place to stay. Super friendly staff and in our room there was a hot tub that connected to the hot springs! It’s literally less than 2 blocks from the big hot springs and very close to restaurants. I didn’t hear any trains but throughout town there are trains that pass through.
