Stayed in tiny home #2 it was perfect for my birthday with my two kids. Pull out couch futon was decently comfortable and the bed was too! The kitchen was stocked enough and was clean and cozy. Check in was a breeze and so was checking out. Glad we brought our extra pillows and blankets for perfect comfort! Thanks again and we will be back!

The rooms could use a little more love, but overall super clean, friendly staff, and the hot spring area was clean, water was hot. Love the overall vibes this place brings! .

The rooms are adequate though superfluous. I would prefer to sleep in the private hot pool. In the winter there is never anyone there. The tree branches create a canopy above the pool. And the nearby rivers' calm flow lends to the soaking experience. It is the ideal spot to decompress and sweat out the city. Try rolling in the snow and then jumping back in the hot pool a few times. That is when the magic happens.

Great location. Centrally located to everything. The rooms are older but so nostalgic. We loved the it. Definitely will return. Love sitting on the deck people watching and enjoying the scenery. The private hotpools are a must.

This place is wonderful! Cindy was an absolute delight before, during and after the check in process. She was so kind and inviting and just went absolutely beyond expectations. I can’t say enough about Cindy! Our tiny home was adorable and located right next to a large open field. The hot pool was clean and a perfect temperature! The location of the hotel itself is wonderful. Right in the center of town and walking distance to pretty much everything. I would highly recommend! And again thanks to Cindy!

We took an October trip to Lava, and we stayed in one of the Lava Hotel's tiny homes. It was perfect for our family of four. The location is excellent, and the houses are cozy and cute. The folks at the front desk were happy, helpful, and kind. They also have their own private hot springs pool on site, which was wonderful.

We had a great time at the Lava Hotel. We love the location and how they had their own mineral pool. We will be back!

Super cute quaint hotel. We stayed in the courtyard room with private mineral hot tub on the patio. It was quiet, safe and all the locals were so welcoming. The property is close to everything a simple one minute walk to the bars and restaurants. My only complaint is our room did not have a thermostat or any way to control heating or the A/C, our room was freezing cold during the night. However If you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay and unwind this is it. Thanks again for everyone’s hospitality and all the helpful friendly staff, we will be back again!

5 stars for Margie and getting a last-minute couples massage scheduled for us. Unfortunately, a family emergency made us unable to make the appointment. Appreciate Margie's understanding.

Clean and updated rooms. Front and rear entry doors are convenient. Open your front door to the Main Street! Fridge/freezer and microwave in our room with comfortable beds. Would like to have an extra pillow, which I’m sure would’ve been available by request had I realized I needed one before midnight.

Stayed here with family and friends. Had one of the outside casitas and a standard room. They were very good about letting us know the best things to do around town. The hot springs felt so good and relaxing. You can tell management cares about their business being successful and you feel it as a customer.

Prefect location to walk anywhere in town, rooms were a little tight, but the beds were cozy and they have a mini fridge and microwave, as well as a TV. If you like to people watch, they have an amazing front porch (street rooms), and if you'd rather be left alone, the back porch is great. Free coffee and tea is great too.

We love it here. We come every year when we visit family in Utah.
Rooms are clean, and good lighting. Like the back door where we could sit. Enjoyed the front chairs so we could watch the happenings in town.

We really enjoyed our stay! We were in a “Deck Room” which had a back door easily accessible to parking and the front door went out to a wooden deck looking over Main Street (nice place to enjoy your coffee). The room was older but very clean. The place has a private mineral pool and very close to the public Hot Pools. Check-in was easy and the front desk lady was very nice. We’ll definitely stay again!

We rented their Cottage property for a 3 day midweek vacation. Check-in was friendly & easy. They took great care of us & the cottage was clean. It's so nice having a private soaking tub on the deck. That was the major selling point for us. We enjoyed the soaking tub multiple times each day. Plenty of towels. Only downside is lack of kitchen cooking basics..plenty of pots, pans & dishes. However only empty salt & pepper shakers & no pan spray/oil. Good to know for next time.
We booked a massage through them & was one of the best massages we've ever had.
It is also convenient that you are just down the street from the Chuck Wagon.

So, while we had some check in challenges, I can’t say enough good about this staff. Cindy is literally one of my BFFs, she just doesn’t know it. I visited lava as a kid often..it equaled Disney for a your girls from Preston. As an adult, I love bringing my friends to this location and letting them act out the 20s they wished they had. Enjoy this hotel for everything that it is. Lean in to this location, and make new friends with everyone around.

The staff are the best. Extremely friendly and accommodating. I had requested to be put on a "wait list" due to the rooms being booked. I was actually called back by Cindy and she got me the room I needed for the weekend I needed. I will stay here again simply for the friendliness of the staff. There are different rooms to choose from and I will plan on doing that.
The location is perfect as well, across the street from a bar and a short walk to the hot pools -although everything is really close by in this city :)
The shower was a bit small for my 6'1" boyfriend, but it was great for my short body. There were two beds and all the extra amenities. A short walk to the office for coffee was great in the morning.

We had a great stay at The Lava. Staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and we loved the hot pool at night. I took my coffee out on the deck on main street and watched the days begin. The sun rose directly over one end of main street and it was beautiful. The quaint town and comfortable accomodations made me want to stay longer. This place isn't fancy but it's reasonable and a reminder of simpler times.
