Dempsey Meadows Inn

Nice view and a really nice house, the water pressure for the sink was a little low but oh well that was literally the only issue. Big layout fun for little parties and poker, everything was very clean and it's super close to town and literally on the same road so you never have to remember how to get back to the house. There is a garage but it was full of stuff so you couldnt park there sadly and a family of deer will visit you frequently.

We had a mini family reunion here over the MLK holiday weekend and had a great time. The house was very clean and large enough to accommodate all 16 of us with ease. Some of us played games around the large dining table while others sprawled in the spacious family room watching movies and getting cozy by the gas fireplace. The WiFi worked great with multiple devices connected simultaneously, some streaming video without any problem.
The beds were very comfortable with new, clean bedding. Even the two hide-a-bed/couches had comfortable memory-foam mattresses.
I loved the location. A short 3/4 of a mile from the grocery store in town and easy access to the hot pools & restaurants in town, but far enough away from all the crowds in town that we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of being out in the country.
We will definitely stay there again.

I just spent four days with my family and extended family for a reunion at this inn. It was wonderful! Lots of space, clean, accomadating, and the scenery is beautiful! The owner made us feel welcome and made sure we had all we needed for a pleasant and comfortable stay. I highly recommend this

This place is a super quaint cottage, very accommodating for enjoyment of the town and all of the excursions it has to offer. If you're looking to enjoy a cozy little home and the Lava Hot Springs experience, welcome to your home away from home.

Great location, clean, hid a beds are comfortable, kitchen faces the large gathering room, hosts are great to work with...we'll be back!

Super cute place in a great location

Stayed here over New year's with a good sized group. It was so cozy and cute! We stayed warm and comfortable. My only complaints: the serving ware in the kitchen was very cheap and flimsy, and I wish there was a washer and dryer (though I know it would be difficult to find a place to keep them). It would be especially nice to be able to dry swimsuits after spending time at the springs. Great place to play games and hang out with extended family.

Id say 3 or 4 star. ...The a.c. favors the downstairs which made it hot upstairs. And the plumbing specifically the water pressure was not adequate. I would stay there again. However I felt it was a 250 a night place until those two things are fixed. Look forward to another visit.

Would never come here again. You are being watched. Money is more important than people. Will be nickeled and dimed. Got togther for a family reunion. It had been 6 years since the last one. Stayed out in an RV and set up a tent just in case understanding the number of people. Owners are watching you and suddenly didn’t like the RV and tents and said pay the $400 fine or get out or the police will be called. Ended up at an RV site.
Completely disgusted how things were handled. Will never come back to Lava Hot Springs. Watch your financial back You will be taken advantage of. Summed up nightmare.

1st off there were only 17 and only 5 adults in the house and 5 outside.

2nd The RV was not plugged in. Just because there was a cord out does not mean it was used. The cord was used for an electric guitar. There obviously are no 30/50 ampplugs for RVs on the property the generator was used.
The tent was set up just in case and for fun because it was cool outside. Several used the RV facilities not your inn.
I was not there at check in, saw the policies, or signed paperwork. The way the situation was handled could have been handled better. Threatening fines and police was unnecessary. When I found out I left. knowing I paid to stay there and had to leave and pay to stay elsewhere was asinine. I had no idea we were such a burden or inconvience for your neighbors or septic system. That was not on the the web page. People skills come before money if you want repeat business and good word of mouth. Money was taken for people who weren't there all in the name of policies and lack of good communication.
