Stone Cellar

We were celebrating our 50 anniversary. The waitress greeted us with a “Happy Anniversary” and from that moment on we were treated so special. Very attentive to every detail of our dining experience. Husband had a New York strip steak and I enjoyed the scallops. Both were 5 star. We plan to dine at the Stone Cellar again.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was done perfectly. Service was top notch; efficient and courteous. Very pleasant atmosphere. Yes, it's expensive but definitely worth the money!

Had been here for lunch previously but this was our first time for an evening meal. Arranged for reservations since we were going
on a Friday; very accommodating. Wonderful dinner; kitchen staff were spot on with our food. Great (and gracious) service from Payton. Thanks to all.

My go- to for special nights out with my husband and my family. Delicious food - have never been disappointed in all the times I’ve been there. Shout out to all the servers we’ve had as well - always attentive and pleasant.

We had the chicken florentine and the chicken mushroom fettuccine alfredo. The food was delicious (very generous servings) and we had amazing service. The atmosphere was fantastic as well. Would definitely come here again!

If you haven't had the chance to visit Stone Cellar, please do! The atmosphere is great, music is just right and the staff are wonderful. (Thank you Paul for being a great waiter). I had the Grilled Vegetable Bowl with Quinoa for lunch. It was amazing and the portion sizes are perfect. My daughter had a kids cheese burger and fries. She loved it! Check out Stone Cellar, you won't be disappointed!

I did photography work for this place. I tired ever dish I photographed. Delicious! I love the atmosphere and staff, it’s like walking into another world!

Awesome dinner experience! This restaurant is beautiful, a must-see right in the heart of Altoona. Our server was Larissa, she was super friendly, attentive and helpful. She answered all of our questions about the menu (seeing that this was our first time dining here). About the food ... what can I say? It was beyond yummy! It was served quickly, prepared perfectly and delicious. Check this place out!

We had a delightful time last evening at your restaurant. Service was perfect and the food was delicious. This was my second visit. As a 40 year resident of Maryland, before moving to Florida , I am amazed at how great the Maryland crab soup is.

The Stone Cellar is the best kept secret in Altoona! The menu options are truly gourmet and the kitchen aims to please! The staff are rock stars!

We tried the Sunday brunch menu at the Stone Cellar. Everything we ordered was really good. The place is beautiful and the service was great. We'll be back.

Pork loin sandwich and fried banana are all fantastic. Bread, spinach, pepper loin match pretty well.

We have been there four times recently. Filet was perfection, as was the chicken, sausage, and pasta dish. The pistachio crusted salmon….amazing. The crab cakes were good too, but a little too much breading, IMHO, for the price. No bread or salads come with the meals, which is a little disappointing, given the prices. Their dumpling appetizer, banana dumplings and tiramisu desserts were tasty also. We’ve always enjoyed great service. We will be back!

Tonight we celebrated my husband's birthday at the Stone Cellar Restaurant and our experience couldn't have been better. After reading the negative reviews beforehand, I couldn't help to wonder if they had eaten at the same place? The atmosphere was delightful with very well done decor. Our food was delicious, very flavorful with generous portions, and was served promptly. Service from our server, Maddie, was on point. She was friendly and courteous. She refilled our drinks without prompting which is always important to us. We will be back for sure. Keep up the superb work!

Great atmosphere and decor and even better food. Soup of the day was great and so were the Chicken Vegetable Potstickers. My wife loved her Seafood Carbonara and I loved my Chicken Marsala. Good service (shoutout to Jeffrey) and the tab didn't shock. I think I found my favorite Italian restaurant in Altoona, PA.

First time eating there tonight. We loved it! The sea bass, artichoke dip, and house dressing were amazing. We'll be back for sure.

My husband and I had longtime friends
visiting from Florida. Upon the suggestion of a local friend, we decided to have dinner at the Stone Cellar. What a wonderful surprise to have this restaurant in our area. There were 5 of us for dinner, we each got something different and each of us were very please with our choices. Awesome atmosphere, wonderful food great service from Mia, our server. We ordered an appetizer and before we could finish our entrees were on the table. Very enjoyable dinner.

The restaurant is beautiful. The paintings on the ceiling were mesmerizing. The food was delicious. We ordered an ahi tuna appetizer, chicken marsala, and a pistachio crusted salmon. Hayden our waitress was very attentive.
Other than the mixed drink price (+ prep fee?) I give the Stone Cellar a 5☆, and this is from a former restaurant owner.

Highly recommend! Extremely friendly and efficient staff! Excellent scallops! Best I've had in a long time! Their tiramisu and lemon cake is amazing! Great drink selection for the bar!
