HCA Florida Highlands Hospital

My first visit to a Florida hospital since we moved down here. It was such a pleasant experience. Jennifer was sick and pleasant verifying and directing me and Venus was a real delight checking me in and welcoming me in for my ex rays. Jenn and her student Gabby were very quick with my tests and made sure I was comfortable. All in all, a super great experience. Thank you ladies for such a warm welcome.

Venus in Registration is awesome. She is friendly and gets the job done thouroghly. My ultrasound was an emergency and she corrected all errors in my doctors order ...Omg Venus, deserves 10 Stars !

I would like to take this time to give a special thank you to Brittany N RN (ER Nurse). Brittany was extremely loving in helping the MD care for our 83 year old mother. Brittany was very compassionate and understanding with her. I had the opportunity along with other family member that dropped by the ER to check on our Family Matriarch. When I showed up and finally met the voice which I had spoken to on the phone, I was blessed by her contagious personality and smile.

I truly appreciate the respect, love shown, patience, and understanding she personally gave to our Mother. I pray that HCA know of the awesome person they have in Brittany. She has found her purpose in nursing and she loves what she does as it truly shows! God Bless.

My dad spent 2 nights in the hospital and his care was excellent... Both the nurses and the physical therapy team were top notch... They were attentive, helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate my 95yr old father... Special thanks to Jace, Cole, and Monica for a job well done...

I chose this hospital because I was a previous employee that worked overnight security when the pandemic first hit. I saw first hand how great the doctors, nurses, staff, and even dietary were towards their patients and that helped me determine that this is where I would feel safe bringing my dad. I want to give this hospital two thumbs up for the care that they have provided my dad, they have kept me in the loop every step of the way and my dad is doing much better! Thank you Highlands Regional for your professionalism and care!

We had wonderful and exceptional care from Nurses and Patient Care Techs from Highlands Regional Hospital. Carrie, Beatriz, Diana was excellent. Karina and Julia Patient Care Tech. Was both great and very helpful.

Suzanna Marlow was my brother’s sitter in ICU. She went beyond any sitter. She made sure that he was changed when soiled. She helped change him. Emptied the garbage can and put a new bag in the can. Suzanna fed him. Talked to him. Washed his hair and combed the rat’s nest out of the back of his hair. She watched him but cared for him as a person. Always putting his welfare first. Thank you Suzanna.

My time spent with Karen Torres-Ortiz at HCA physical therapy was well worth it. Karen is an extremely well trained occupational/physical therapist with a love for her work. Her kindness and care go well above treatment I have had in the past. She is a quiet team player who compliments the others in the facility. I am glad I took the time for the treatments.

Had PT through HCA Florida Highlands Hospital. Made a huge difference in my bursitis that was in my hips. The PT department is awesome. My PT therapist was Mark. He is awesome and was so helpful and on point with my recovery.
Made a difference in my pain level. Highly recommend HCA Florida Hospital, physical therapy department. Thanks for all you do.

The entire team from the beginning of my visit until the end were amazing. Roberto, Candice, Beatriz, Ashley, Maria, Phanel, along with the rest of the nursing staff were incredibly friendly and comforting. I also want to express my gratitude to Dr. BaiRossi and Dr. Ellison for their expertise and exceptional care. The whole crew at HCA Highlands deserves a round of applause and I can’t thank them enough.

We were having a very hard time getting my dad authorization from his insurance for a CT he needed done stat. My dad went and took all the papers he had and Jennifer along with other staff members got together and got everything needed to get the procedure done on the spot. Very happy with the staff that was there today 12/18/2023.

I want to recommend HCA outpatient therapy clinic!!!! My son sustained a sports injury while playing soccer. Glexy PT helped him recover and she challenged him in the perfect ways. It’s hard for anyone to be down but a young person without their sport is very lost. He felt hopeful and stated the atmosphere in the clinic was very personal and motivational as other patients interacted with him. Seeing him sprint across the pitch without pain warmed my heart! Thank you for going above and beyond…

I had a hand surgery and my Therapist was Jennifer and was awesome to work with. So I went back and had a knee replaced and my Therapist is Lexi and she is awesome as well, makes me work hard to get the movement that is required. Highlands Hospital. The best. Dettrick Drewery

From the front desk, to the nurses, and the doctor, each and every one of them was courteous, professional, and made my son's visit as comfortable as they possibly could today. Thank you all so much for making an emergency room visit as painless and easy for us as possible!

I had an arterial and veinous Doppler done today by Rod, he was very kind, informative and professional. He made me feel very comfortable. He is a great asset to your facility.

I had to go into the ER a couple days ago, and I got admitted to third-floor MedSurg. I am so happy with the care I have received. The staff has been wonderful and so in tune to my needs. Thank you all so much!

The care my mother received at HCA was fantastic. Every member of the staff treated her like family, taking the time to discuss her concerns and to friendly chat - ahe never felt rushed or minimized. Her nurse, Beatriz, was very caring and informative and Roberto Bueno was so positive with her daily progress. Plus, the food was quite good - she ate better and and more than she eats at home!

I recently had both knees replaced a month apart by Dr. Alvarez and started my rehab and physical therapy in the HCA Highlands Florida therapy center. I have been extremely pleased with the care and therapy I am receiving. I have had 3 sessions per week for 5 weeks and and am scheduled for 3 more weeks. I can't say enough good things about the therapists that have been working with me. They include Glexy, Gary, Tom, Mark and team leader Allan (sp).
They treat me with respect and make me work hard (which I want).
I can recommend this therapy center highly.

My elderly Father-in-Law was in Highlands for a week receiving IV antibiotics for a nasty infection. The ER staff was amazing Dr Dawkins, Nurses Vanessa and TC were kind and engaging, they kept us informed of what they were doing and why they were doing it. He was subsequently admitted to the 3rd floor for a week. The 3rd floor staff was professional, kind and very patient with an elderly man who was “out of sorts”. The Nurse Leader Roberto and his staff were very professional, attentive and compassionate. Every thought, concern and question from the family was completely and thoroughly addressed. Without reservation they earned the highest rating and accolades! The case worker, Becky, who coordinated discharge and home care was equally amazing; as was the Attending Physician Dr Bethel. As we say in the military: Bravo Zulu or BZ…job well done!!!!

My lord and savior led me to a great hospital ! The stay i had at the hospital was awesome! The doctors, nurses and everyone was awesome and amazing! Angelina nurse was awesome, Iris head nurse was awesome, Jorge and other radiologist was awesome. Everyone in the er was amazing! Isabel EVS technician was awesome.Thank you to the whole hospital was a awesome great place to get well!
