10/10 recommend! The staff is very friendly and sweet! They make you feel welcomed and comfortable. I had a consult with Mya and told her my skin concerns. She made me feel very relaxed and eased my concerns immediately. She recommended the CO2 fractional laser treatment for my acne scars. I’ve done my research and it is definitely the best product on the market and worth every penny! The full results take up to 6 months. I plan on coming back for other treatments as well. Also their prices are very reasonable!!! Mya and Rochelle are both amazing and beautiful women inside and out!! Thank you for making me feel more beautiful!!

I was recommended this MedSpa by my friend early last year and have been attending since. I have been with them from their Park Ave location to their new location and have had over 6 sessions of laser hair removal with Amanda. I no longer have underarm hair and my full Brazilian is basically hair free. My last hair removal the laser energy was increased and I had a reaction that I had not had before. I am a horrible hypochondriac with anxiety which the internet does not help with. So when I started noticing all the redness and what appeared to look like burn marks, I immediately emailed the MedSpa in a panic at 11 PM and guess what… I got a response ten minutes later. (So not sure where the “lack of communication” reviews have come from since I received the quickest response ever late in the night from them.)

I had a consult for my “adverse reaction” which they assured me was normal and just a reaction to the laser energy increase. I spoke with the nurse, Myriam, and can honestly say she was so empathetic, she knew the panic that I was in and instead of mocking me for it she completely felt for me and did everything to ease my anxiety. She offered me a refund, did everything to ease my mind (tell me if anything scars she’d take care of it but that it wouldn’t) and she made it clear that she hopes this normal reaction does not scare me off laser. I am so grateful for empathetic nurses like Myriam. At the moment, my legs are clearing up and looking better.

Long story short, been with them for over a year. My under arms and Brazilian area are hair free. When I experienced an “adverse reaction” they were very empathetic, were quick to communicate with me, offered me a refund, and did everything to ease my anxiety. And bonus point? You cannot beat their prices.

I recommend their MedSpa to all my friends, just as I became a customer from a recommendation.

2nd appointment at illumine and shiema is great!! Answered all my questions and concerns and the cooling gel she put on before the laser makes it basically painless! The staff was also very sweet and helpful.

Shiema is amazing!!! Amanda was also awesome, she moved but Shiema is so thorough and incredible at what she does. This is my #1 spot for laser for the past year and change and I'll only come here for my treatments!!

So here’s my real experience as a first time client for laser hair removal on 1/31/24. I was looking on Groupon for a special for laser hair removal. Many companies to choose from, I did research on several and called several to ask questions etc. I am plus size and I am not trying to get body shamed or have a bad experience so it was important for me to check out the vibes beforehand. When I initially called illume med spa there was no answer. But within a hour I was called back by the front desk receptionist Priscilla. Which I thought was a little surprising because I had read several negative reviews “claiming” the front desk receptionist was horrible and their customer service was bad. So I immediately thought, you cant just run with every bad review. So I just casually talked to Priscilla about my concerns and immediately asked if they service plus size women. She said “yes not a problem” and made me feel so comfortable. We started just talking about the whole process and it honestly felt like I was speaking to a friend. I knew of all the spas this is the place I wanted to give a try. Ok let’s fast forward to appointment day, I was advised they have a new location, I got to that address, the place is clean and nice. Staff extremely welcoming, but I am started to feel a little nervous because I know laser hurts and I see negative reviews about the tech and her not being licensed etc. which made me chuckle a little because her license is on display, not hidden even in the least bit. I use the iPad fill out the intake forms. Now it’s time for me to go in, this is when I am with the tech her name is Amanda. Such a lovely person, she started with my face to see where my pain tolerance was because I was nervous it would hurt. My pain tolerance is so low y’all…and I heard how laser would feel line a snapping rubberband. She was very compassionate and reassured me we would only do areas that felt comfortable for me. By the end of my service I did face to address pcos facial hair, under arms, and full Brazilian. I was sooo happy and honestly, I don’t know what kinda laser from heaven they use, but the word “painful” wasn’t even a factor, there were moments of discomfort but never pain, on a scale of one to 10, at times it was zero and the most intense moments were around a 4. I’m should have done this a lot sooner and cant wait til my next appointment where I will add my lower stomach and legs…I know this post maybe long but I am taking the time to do it because Amanda and Priscilla deserve my 5 stars. I’m sorry for others who had a bad experience but we have to remember that people are quick to post negative things. There aren’t enough times where people post or review the good things. I honestly feel if I would have went with any other establishment it would have been my loss. I would recommend this place 10/10 and suggest you don’t let a few bad reviews rob you of your blessing. Mya is amazing. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to about concerns. Give different options to meet your needs. I have been back multiple times and am always greeted with a smile from the receptionist. Very comfortable place to go with amazing service. Well continue to go to Illumine Medspa.

I have been coming here consistently for the last 2 years and I love this place. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. They’re always so happy and make small talk whenever I’m there. The doctor is so funny and gentle. He also speaks Spanish which is a plus. I’ve gotten my underarms hair laser off and love the experience. Also highly recommend the hydra facial

I had a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional, and I was particularly impressed with Dr. L's gentle approach. As a first-time filler patient, I was understandably nervous, but Dr. L took the time to ease my nerves and explain everything to me. The results were fantastic - I couldn't be happier with how I look! Overall, I highly recommend this medspa and Dr. L to anyone considering fillers or other aesthetic treatments.

I’ve been coming to Illumine for a little over a year consistently seeing Alexis for my skin care needs, body contouring, and lashes. My results have been life changing for so little time. Alexis does an amazing job keeping up with my results & our napped out series. She goes as far as keeping before & afters in a personal file displaying them before each appointment to point out results and targeting future areas making me feel confident and comfortable in what we’re doing always. She is so personable, her energy is so bright it’s contagious. Illumine medspa is always a 5 star experience and I look forward to each upcoming appointment.

I have been a client for the past 2 years or so and I like the laser treatment there. I have never got burned and the lady does have a license. And I like how she does the Brazilian because they get every single hair out 😊

Dr. L is an attentive, aesthetically-inclined physician who really took the time to listen to my desires, and executed them flawlessly. He did a beautiful job giving me a super natural lip plump! He’s also great conversation. Overall fantastic experience besides a bit of a wait. Well worth it, however.

Illumine Medspa is a clean place with great customer service. Amanda is an amazing professional. She is always in a good mood and on time. I am very happy with the hair removal treatment so far and I will be back soon! 🥰

I went in for lip fillers for the first time and I'm so impressed.
One- the team were super kind and helpful
Two- the doctor and assistant really did there best to explain and make suggestions without trying to up sell on everything.
Three: the office was super clean and the decor was tasteful!
Four: my lips look perfect they look totally different but also look very natural and I had minimal bruising.
Five: the numbing cream was great and they left it on long enough I barley felt anything
Last but not least the price was very fair.
Overall I would 100 recommend this place and will be back for my follow up in two weeks!

This is my third time coming in for Brazilian, chin & mustache laser hair removal. So far it has been my best one. I had Jeremy and he is such a sweet heart. Made me feel extremely comfortable & he was so gentle. Took his time explaining each process for me & cannot wait to see him again. Thank you 🤍
